Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo

Nestled between the Sierra Madre Mountains and Pacific Ocean, Ixtapa and Zihuatanejo (zee-wha-ta-neh-ho) are only four miles apart, but there’s a world of difference between them. Enjoy exciting and unique vacation experiences in these neighboring and diverse destinations, from Ixtapa’s modern luxury to “Zihua’s” laid-back vibe. While these sister destinations share an ideal climate and 16 miles of golden beaches, Ixtapa shines as a modern, world-class resort area with a marina, top hotels, restaurants, nightclubs, and championship golf; while the centuries-old fishing port of Zihuatanejo charms with seaside cafés, cobblestone streets, hillside inns and a taste of the old world.
