    My fantastic 60th BDay at the Sonesta Oceanpoint 10-10-10 across the board!!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

    I just returned home after a week long stay celebrating my shared birthday (my sister and I share our birthday--7 years apart, born on the same day) with friends. Most certainly did not want to leave. 🥹The property is gorgeous. The vibe is peaceful and upscale. The Serenity Spa was one of the best massages I've experienced. Anna is a master masseuse. Thaimi, Guest Services, upgraded my room and my sister's room in honor of our birthdays. The suite and the room were perfection. Additionally, the complimentary birthday decorations were the perfect touch. Thaimi quieted all of our concerns with her exemplary customer service prior to the trip. She is 7⭐️ The Edge Pool was my favorite morning spot on the property, and breakfast at Azul every morning was divine. 🤌🏾 Dinner at Portofino was elegant and delicious.🥂 The Palms Restaurant was good for lunch and to watch the notorious planes fly over Maho Beach.🍹 Although we had access to the Maho Beach Resort & Casino, I didn't get a chance to make my way over there other than to use the Serenity Spa. However, two of my birthday party guests stated that other than issues with the A/C in the room, they thoroughly enjoyed their stay. When planning my BDay celebration, the intention was to stay on property to celebrate. However, we had a guest family who elected to stay off property. Therefore, we celebrated at Mr. Chow's. Although the food was good, I would have been more content staying on property and having our Bday dinner at La Fontana.😔 Regarding Sint Maarten/St. Martin, don't delay, book the trip! The people, the beaches, the history - you'll love it! Be sure to take the 20-minute ferry ride to Anguilla - the beaches are really some of the most beautiful in the Caribbean--maybe, the most beautiful. We dined and spent the day at East Shoal Bay East Beach. Don Richardson was the most knowledgeable and kindest tour guide. My sister left her handbag with credit cards, money, and her passport and one of the picturesque tourist spots. Her bag was saved by a neighbor and given to Mr. Richardson to give back to my sister with nothing missing.🫡 This small, beautiful, honest island with a rich history is a MUST visit!❤️ I know I am missing some staff names to thank, but know that everyone was extremely friendly and accommodating. The sweet Jamaican mom bartender at the Seascape Pool Bar, whose son also works on property, was kind enough to share her story with me. My kind room attendant who checked on me made me feel like family. To the bellman/golf cart driver who was new to the property-- only there for 3 weeks but checked on us daily to ensure we were content. I was so welcomed that when it was time to go home--I was confused because I felt like I was at home!🥹I WILL RETURN! Oceanpoint receives my highest recommendation. 10-10-10 across the board!🥂

    Sonesta Ocean Point = Fantastic Memories

    The resort was well kept , the views were amazing , the food was presented nicely and the quality was amazing. My wife and I enjoyed our 5th anniversary trip immensely. We have been to several adults only resorts throughout the world and Ocean Pointe is definitely in our top 3. A special shout out to the staff at Azul and specifically the resorts very own - Sidia and Maxine , we will be back !

    Great trip 9/15

    Great things about this adult only. We rated it a 9 Pros. Great and beautiful grounds 10 Everyone we met who worked there were excellent 10+ Restaurants azulejo and la Fontana were excellent service,food And atmosphere Con. For a 4.5/5 restore only 4 wines by glass 2 red and 2 white not Great lots of bottle can be bought if you want to carry a bottle. Lastly not a fault of the hotel but slots in the bar were very tight as Well as casino across the street

    Great stay at Sonesta Ocean Point!

    We had a great time at Sonesta Ocean Point in St. Maarten! The room and all of the grounds were beautiful. We had a room with butler service, and our butler Ranjeet was incredibly helpful and accommodating. He was so thoughtful and made our trip extra special. Our only complaint would be the food was not always very good. It tended to be overly salty and did not taste fresh or well made. The breakfast at the buffets were especially lacking in quality and flavor. However, the food was overall ok enough, and there were plenty of other options just outside of the resort if we wanted a higher quality meal. Overall, we had a wonderful stay at Sonesta Ocean Point, and we would certainly consider staying there again when we come back to St. Maarten!

    Adults Only Side of Sonesta Ocean Point Resort

    Stayed at Sonesta Ocean Point Resort for 5 nights in September 2025. The Adults Only side was perfect—quiet, relaxing, and we still had access to the restaurants and pools on the Family side. The Family side felt way too crowded, so I was glad we stayed where we did. The staff were some of the nicest I’ve ever experienced—super attentive and friendly. We tried all the restaurants, and Azul was by far the best for both food and atmosphere. The couples massage in the oceanfront cabana was a highlight—absolutely worth it. We also did the dune buggy tour, but it wasn’t what I expected—mostly riding on the main roads. Next time I’d do a different island tour. Overall, I’d recommend Sonesta Ocean Point if you’re looking for a quieter, adults-only experience with great service and beautiful views.
