  Would not recommend

  I stayed here for 4 days on a Central America trip. I have the highest Marriott status. The Good: Location is excellent with plenty of places to walk The shower pressure was strong! Breakfast was edible The Bad: The entire resort is in desperate need of a make over The pool plaster is literally peeling off everywhere The AC never got my room below 75 being on for 3 days - they looked at it and said it was operating normally The room doors slam so loud you can hear (and feel) them all the way down the floor The Exec lounge is in bad shape and had poor food offerings The pool had late night events / music past midnight that allowed for no sleep This really should be a 2 star review due to the fact I slept very little during my stay.

  Loud party until 3:00 am

  Don’t stay at this hotel. They don’t care about guests. They had a party very loud until 3:00am in the pool area but you could hear everything in the rooms.. We called the front desk to complaint but they said they couldn’t do anything about it.

  Marriott Presidente is undesirable

  This hotel is living on borrowed time and is a dying glimmer of its past. The hotel room is poorly maintained. The people are unfriendly, arrogant, and think that we the customers are there to SERVE them, especially the bar and the front desk teams. We did not get our booking room on the first night but instead the front desk placed us in the room next to the pool without providing any directions of how to even get there. They moved us next day but changed my booking so that they wouldn't have to pay out the Marriott points for the first night. I raised a concern and cannot get any one at the hotel to take any action. For a total of four nights we still were left with a bad taste in our mouth about the experience. Frankly, I could not wait to get my days over and get the hell out of there. There is absolutely nothing great to mention about the place. The room is unimpressive with dated decorations. After two emails sent to the GM of the hotel, I got no response and decided to escalate my complaint to Marriott corporate after my return. To date they have been non apologetic about my stays and I frankly dont give a crap! I recommend that you avoid this place at all costs. There is NOTHING special; about the hotel except for snobbish staff and managers.

  A hotel fit for U.S. senators, former presidents, and Kilmar Garcia

  The hotel shows every bit of its age. Aside from that, the room was clean and well equipped. I had a standard room with two queen beds and the room was quite large. It had all the equipment of a standard hotel room including safe, Iron and ironing board, alarm clock, hair dryer, large flat screen and a large office desk and chair for work. Wifi was included and super fast. The bathroom was completely remodeled and very modern. The large walk in shower had a strong water pressure and truly hot water, both of which is unusual in Central America. Service was excellent in the hotel. Everyone was polite and eager to please. I only ate in the buffet for breakfast as it was included in my rate. The buffet had standard international fare, standard Central American breakfast foods, (eggs, plantains, beans, etc) lots of fresh fruits, a pupusa station, and an omelet station for eggs made to order. Service in the restaurant was fine. The pool was large and looked clean. Lobby and common areas very much show the age of the hotel but very clean. The walls are adorned with photos of worldwide politicians, kings, and other heads of state who have stayed here. It's still the hotel choice of politicians. A US senator from Texas was leaving just as I was checking in and had previously had a press conference there. I also recognize the pool area from when Senator Van Hollen met with his favorite MS-13 member Kilmar Garcia and sipped margaritas poolside while chatting. The standard rooms could use a remodel, but there is nothing actually wrong with them. Maybe the higher level suites are more modern. The location in San Salvador can't be beat. It used to be in the "safe" area of San Salvador, even before Nayib Bukele, (but now all of San Salvador is "safe" so that point is moot.) I would not hesitate to stay here again.

  Great stay at the Sheraton!

  Fantastic stay, great location in front of a mall, with walking distance to shops and restaurants. Very good breakfast restaurant on beautiful grounds. Very comfortable beds and well appointed rooms
