Memorable Honeymoon
We had a great time on our Honeymoon. Just the right amount of luxury, relaxation, and entertainment. This was my first experience at an all inclusive resort, and they have set the bar high. We met many return guests and I can see why. We look forward to visiting again in the future.

Good but not fantastic!
First to say is the staff are excellent, friendly and offer a great service, be prepared to tip well if you want the very best experience from them. The hotel is tired and needs a lot of work doing to get it up to the standard that you would expect from this level of resort. Our room 4216 in Preferred club was well equipped but shabby, furniture needed fixing up/decorating. Bed was very comfortable. Unfortunately the coffee machine didn't work and the jacuzzi also wouldn't operate correctly. Both issues were sorted quickly though as soon as we asked. Food in the restaurants is very good for anyone who has a varied diet. My wife is vegetarian and her choices were quite limited. There was no buffet restaurant open in the evenings and the menu in the speciality restaurants has limited choices, after one week we found ourselves having to choose the same dishes again, which you don't normally expect to do in a hotel this size. The preferred club lounge isn't really up to much, more of a token gesture, food was limited and cold most of the time, breakfast in there was slightly better. Drinks and bars are good, but again limited choices of venues in the evenings, the only real place to drink is the Piano bar where all of the entertainment happens, so it gets very busy and seating is limited. We didn't visit the Desires late lounge so can't comment on that. Evening entertainment was mixed but on the whole ok. Resident band PACE are good and the Bob Marley Tribute Show and Steel Band were excellent. Karaoke and Mr & Mrs wasn't really our thing though. In general the hotel needs some TLC. It's tired and tatty in places, attention to detail really matters for this level of hotel and its severely lacking at the moment, I suppose Hyatt need time to get to grips with it, but they are still charging a premium price. Beach is great and sea crystal clear, great for swimming/snorkelling or just floating around. Not so good. They have placed cabanas all around every pool, including preferred club. For these you have to pay extra, min $100 per day, even preferred guests, this isn't right and we only saw a couple of them used in 12 days we were there. The new beds in Preferred are uncomfortable cheap with metal frames, not what you'd expect for a luxury hotel. They are also positioned behind all of the cabanas so not even next to the pool, this really needs a rethink. In general all of the sun beds around the resort are old & poor quality, they need replacement or at least new/better cushions. So overall a good holiday, but not fantastic, missing the WOW factor at the moment, would we go back? Based on this experience, probably not, but it was worth a visit. I wouldn't expect much from preferred club, other than the room upgrade that you get, other benefits are really limited. Needs real focus if it want's to compete with the other premium resorts in the Caribbean, and attract return guests.

Jamaicans relax best
Clean amenities and well kept up. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Nobody was uptight about rules and very easy going. The restaurants served high quality food and also offered many different options. I would highly recommend this to any of my friends.

Great trip
Who knows how to play Ludo…. I don’t but Sashy and Kenzie made our day. We had a great time with these two and will be friends forever. The food here is better than any other resort we’ve been to and will be back. Views are great and everyone is so nice!
