Dec 07, 2025Our Favorite Cancun Resort
The beach is not the best, but this resort is amazing because of the staff and their love for their job and the guests. We were taken care of for 6 amazing days - and this was our third visit to this resort…and we can’t wait to book again! Favorite staff members: Luis by the Secrets pool, Cruz, Urbano, Nedel - all pool servers! Danny and Mario are pool concierges and the best! Yesenia and Alfredo at Rosewater are so attentive- and Karla will great you with a beautiful smile when you arrive. Lidia in the Breathless preferred bar (Exhale Club)- be sure to ask her for a special drink! Try all the restaurants, but definitely do NOT pass on Coquette! Book Hibachi if you can. All the rooms are gorgeous, but make sure you know the swim outs are chilly in the winter- unless it’s when the sun is directly on them during the day. The swim out is our favorite- but only during spring or summer. The ocean front rooms are breathtaking and our go-to. This resort is small on the Secrets side, which we love, but it’s nice to go over to the wild side if you need more excitement.

The resort was beautiful, the beach was minimal, and service was ok. Not what i expected out of a secrets resort. We had a good time but not better than any other non secrets resorts we have stayed at in the past. Long waits for dinner. Long wait for drinks during the evening. The resort seems short staffed. No complaints on the hard working individuals of the resorts who were always quick so smile and say hi, they need more help. The resort was much nicer than surrounding resorts.

Memorable stay
This hotel is beautiful, exceptionally clean and just the right size for couples looking to relax. There are plenty of activities at the pool for patrons who prefer that energy. The beach is quiet and offers many palapas, chairs and quiet time with guided yoga every morning! Rosewater restaurant is exclusive to Secrets guests and all other restaurants are located at this sister resort Breathless. Secrets guests have full access to Breathless and that resort is more lively with nighttime shows and activities. All rooms are well located, cresting around the pool and the beach is steps away. We enjoyed the beachfront master suite and watching the sunrise from our deck and relaxing on the deck jacuzzi or the indoor jacuzzi was amazing!! We also had a great experience at the Rosewater and Coquette Restaurants. The service, attentiveness and kindness of our servers at Rosewater made our stay memorable. Yesenia, José, Alberto were exceptional ! Aladdino our server and Priscilla hostess at Coquette were went above and beyond ! The only downfall is beach had brown seaweed which made the water look brownish post hurricane season but the hotel workers keep it very clean as there is never seaweed on the beach itself.

Will be coming back!
Simply had the best time at this resort last week. Of the few resorts we've been to, this is the only one we want to absolutely come back to, and what made the difference is the incredible staff. Everyone went above and beyond to make sure we had the best vacations possible. Eduardo at the preferred lounge made AMAZING cocktails for us every night. We even skipped the nightly entertainment for the last half of the week because we had such a nice time with him Mario and Daniel at the pool tended to our every needs regarding towels, chairs, cabanas, umbrellas... checking on us regularly to make sure everything was perfect Gabriela and Anahi always welcomed us with a smile and a friendly chat at the café Luis and Andres kept our afternoons at the pool very entertaining Mar's service at the pool and the swim out was impeccable, bringing us food that was not on the menu to accommodate my wife's allergies (but management, PLEASE set up a path in front of building one so that the staff can deliver to the swim outs as easily as the other buildings! It would make their lives much easier!) Fernando's tongue in cheek humor made our dinner at the Strip Grill memorable And finally, Jacob made sure our room was perfectly done every day of our stay! It is because of all of them that we will be coming back as soon as possible! Thank you!

Best specialty drinks!
Eduardo and Jesus in the preferred bar made our stay so enjoyable! They always had a smile for us and made the best drinks! When we got bored with our usual drinks they made special drinks and shots we had never heard of before that were amazing! We will definitely consider coming back to this resort specifically because of how special they made us feel on Thanksgiving and being there for our honeymoon!! Eduardo better wear the turkey hat we gave him next Thanksgiving!!!
