Never been all inclusive was our very first time and we will always return back to a secret or Hyatt hotel nothing but pleasure and every person that we met has taken care of us and felt like we were very special to be here

Short but very positive review on all the typical amenities.
This property is 5 Star! I enjoyed every meal like never before at an all inclusive. The staff go far beyond expectation. Cocktail servers everywhere, the beach, the pool, the lobby. The property is bright and inviting. I really like that the walkways are shaded by greenery. The pools have an abundance of loungers. The beach also has an abundance of loungers with canopies to offer shade. NO RESERVATIONS required for a la carte! The room minibar offered a good selection. Room service was fantastic! I can't say enough positive things to do this property justice. It is worth the money spent!

Second Visit, not our last!
This was our second visit to this resort and will not be our last. We returned here for many reasons: the spectacular grounds the beach, the snorkeling, the amazing food, the beautiful pools, the incredible service. Our number one reason however is the employees. Each and every one from groundskeeper to senior manager makes us feel like we are part of a larger family. In the midst of such a wonderful team, there are a few that stood out to us in particular: Sharon our beach server for always checking in and knowing when it was time for the first espumoso, Arturo at Bordeaux (thank you for your amazing Mayan coffee!), Jasmine and her team at Portofino for creating such amazing meals, memories and welcoming us like family, and Karen our concierge from our last trip who visited us at the beach every day to say hi even though we weren't her guests this trip. We'd also like to mention Ari and Carlos from the entertainment team. Even though we spend every day on the beach, Ari always popped by to say hello or to offer a 'lazy game' and Carlos checked in to see what fish we saw during our daily snorkeling! Finally Sr Santiago Food Beverage Manager, who always made time to say hello even when his days are so busy! Thank you to everyone at Secrets Akumal for helping to make our vacation so wonderful. We are counting down until our next visit.

Fabulous
We spent 8 days ay the resort and had a fantastic time. The building concierge was amazing and always checked in to see how we were doing. The grounds were pristine and the lush jungle feel was great. The bartenders were amazing particularly the ones at the swim up bar. Food was great, favorite was the french restaurant. There is a night club (Desires) that we went to twice and we were not a huge fan of the strobe lights and fog but it was still fun. We had an issue with the toilet not running and they were very prompt at responding and fixing the issue! The only negatives were the bugs. We never really saw them but got a bunch of bug bites so bring bug spray with you!

Wonderful 8 days
Great 8 night stay. Preferred swim out building 4. Francisco the concierge was always attentive to our needs. The preferred beach concierge was always helpful with questions and rounding up chairs for people as resort was at capacity.
