    Great time at Margaritaville

We would like to start by saying that all the staff are fantastic. Special shout out to our butler's Karen and Joaquin, Gabriel, Angel from Animation, staff at the Landshark and many more. The resort is small so you really interact with the same staff all the time. Rooms were great and comfortable. The hotel is still fairly new so everything is in top top shape. Any request we had was immediately addressed. We are Prestige members and the check in process was great. We even got to pick our scents for the room and soaps for the body and face. That was an expected fun experience. There is no beach due to hurricane damage but they are working on getting it back. There's really no place to stroll outside the resort so we went to Playa del Carmen by taxi, it was 57usd one way. The entertainment at the Landshark was fantastic, great music and karaoke nights. There's quite a bit of things to do throughout the day at the main pool but also quiet pools to just relax. The food was pretty good. If we had some recommendations for the resort it would be to add a hot tub, Prestige lounge and the store Joe Merchants to stay open till 10pm at least, more staff at the lobby bar, ice cream at the coffee shop, and more variety with the snack options that we get with resort credits. It would also be nice to have an approximate time period when the beach will be done. There should be a shuttle offered to the nearest beach and Playa del Carmen since there's nothing to do outside the area of the resort and no beach. Overall it was a great experience and I would recommend it.

Sunshine on a cloudy day (Baldo!)

This resort is very nice, but the beach is terrible. Actually there is no beach and it was disappointing. However, I had a great experience with Baldo at the Landshark restaurant. He was so kind and helpful and welcoming. It made the trip even better when there was someone who goes out of their way to make sure you have a wonderful stay. I hope Margaritaville appreciates employees like this who go above and beyond.

    Margaritaville Resort

First, the resort is located short distance from the Cancun airport which we really appreciated. The grounds, pools, the gardens and the rooms were immaculate; we give a 10 for cleanliness. The two à la carte restaurants offered a wide choice of food which was delicious and hot. The Boathouse restaurant was spacious but the food was mostly cool; the only thing hot is if you want an omelette cooked to your likings. Our waiter, Gabino, was very friendly and attentive to our needs; we never ran out of coffee and he made sure that we had our « special cream » for our coffees. He deserves a rating of 10. Our room maid, Mauricio, was very efficient and kept our room very clean, he was very attentive to details. His rating is a 10. We want to give a BIG THANK YOU to Mariel and Dennis. They kept everyone active at the pool with different activities. They were very friendly and always had a smile. Their rating is an « 10 ». The only negative point that we can mention is the lack of entertainment at night. They need to up that as it doesn’t really reflect the Jimmy Buffet attitude that we were expecting.

    A week in paradise!!

Everything was wonderful and are going back next year! Sure hope they have the beach back by then. That was the only disappointment as we are Beach Addicts!!! But pool area is beautiful, activities fun and something for everyone! Our Butlers Karen and Joaquin were beyond helpful way. From restrauant reservations to towels ready in our chosen lounge chairs, along with coffee room service every morning, nothing was forgotten. We travel with a service dog and they helped us work thru the challenge for us of Mexico not being actual service dog friendly as of yet. But I feel confident that next year when we come back they will have shared what we needed to be able To enjoy our vacation in comparable experiences with everyone else who does not have that challenge!! A true service dog does not cause as much disruption as many people, nor messes!!!! Thanks to the staff there for understanding that after meeting our Lacey!! Nothing but kindness to us was everywhere!! Thank you for a simply wonderful feeling of being on vacation!!!
