Wonderful property, but a challenge for mobility compromised
We booked this all inclusive resort for a brief one week holiday. The property is located on a magnificent bay and enjoys three sandy beaches well provisioned with palapas for shade, side tables and comfortable beach loungers. Adjacent to the beach area is a grassed and landscaped field well shaded on its periphery and served by paved pathways. It and the beaches were well supported by friendly and efficient staff providing bar services and snacks — we rarely had to ask for service as it was most always offered before being requested. Our room was located in one of many multiple room buildings located on terraces of the surrounding cliffs and served by paved roadways that meandered and switched back and forth. These narrow roadways and retaining walls provided access for all housekeeping, room service and guest transportation vehicles. I am mobility challenged and use my own electric scooter, but the roadway grades made it too challenging to make my own way back and forth to our room. However, guest transportation on covered open vehicles was constantly available by simply waiting outside your room for the next passing transport. We also were well served by a staff operated handicapped golf cart which was always available for transportation from the lobby to our room. The main facilities with a range of à la carte restaurants, multiple bars, swimming pools, tennis courts, billiard tables, pickle ball courts and of course the buffet — were on three distinct levels served by ramps and circular ramp access structures to accommodate handicapped scooters and wheelchairs. We found the a la carte restaurants to be inconvenient as all required reservations with the first seating at 7:00 PM and we were told by other guests that the food was the same as that available in the buffet, but just presented more attractively. Accordingly, we took all of our meals in the buffet. Breakfast was served until 11:00 AM and the selection of food was good, with am omelette station cooling eggs to order. We found that the buffet was usually out of scrambled eggs and not quickly replenished, so the omelette station was our ‘go to’, with the nearby industrial toaster providing fresh, hot toast. Lunch, from 1:00 - 5:00 PM in the buffet provided a good selection of somewhat basic offerings including at least one selection of fish, beef, pork and chicken together with a range of vegetable offerings. Only one soup was offered and it was different every day. The only shellfish was shrimp. The buffet is not air conditioned and one entire wall of the dining area is sealed plate glass windows, so it does become warm which affects dining enjoyment. We didn’t have dinner at all during our stay as we chose a late breakfast and then a late lunch at 4:30 PM which was adequate to our needs. This is an older property that has been well maintained and is very clean and comfortable — a testament to an efficient, friendly staff. We found that every member of staff was focused on providing exceptional service to the guests of Las Brisas. We found our experience to be good value for the price charged and would recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday.

Captain Uriel
Uriel was an excellent sailing host! Even without ideal wind conditions, Uriel’s guidance and skill enabled a fantastic sailing experience all around. Mucho gracias for a great trip and lovely conversation!

Tennis at las Brisas.
This 5 star review is for Paco, the tennis pro at Las Brisas. So generous with his time, excellent coach, and a genuine lovely guy. He is the main reason we keep coming back! Thank you Paco!

6th visit!!!
We returned for our 6th visit to the Las Brisas with a 10 day package with Westjet. It was as amazing as we remembered and loved every minute of it. Thank you Las Brisas management for upgrading us to a Jr. Suite in the Nubes (Clouds). We loved the room, the turn down service and great house keeping. We enjoying the walking and never used the shuttles. Food: We chose 3 a la cartes, ate twice at the Seafood Restaurant and both times there was music playing in the lounge and what a wonderful atmosphere! The food was also very good. We ate at the Solarium and it was just ok, as well as the Mexican. Breakfast was alway at the Mexican Restaurant and the omelette and eggs were delicious. We also enjoyed the buffet, great service by all the staff there. Tennis/Pickle ball: We basically come here because of the 12 courts. Paco, the Tennis Pro gives lessons each morning and he is the greatest. When we arrived there was a National Tennis Tournament going on and we watched some really amazing tennis and meet and visited with lots of Mexican Nationals from all over, it was really interesting. Water Sports: We were happy to see that Francisco was still there and his staff was awesome. We got out on the sailboats a few times and the bay is great to sail in. Bird Watching: Pablo still does the birding tour in the mornings and we were not sure if it was still happening as we could not see it on the activities list or advertised any where! We saw 25 -30 birds each time and we discovered how knowledgeable Pablo is about the Mexican wildlife in general. we learnt so much from him and look forward to seeing him on our next visit. We only had 1 minor problem when we were here. We had a very hard time changing bills into smaller denominations. We are definitely returning to this resort, it has all the activities we like, great service from the staff, incredible weather, many return guests and good value.
