Famir and his counterpart were very good at the daily activities and nightly entertainment. All the staff were very nice, whether you spoke good Spanish or none at all.

Quaint and Relaxing Vacation location
This resort is quiet and relaxing with easy, convenient access to all the amenities. I loved the ability to see familiar faces of staff and guests throughout the week. It was a great way to meet friendly people in a relaxed and not crowded resort. I would recommend a few more umbrellas to sun protection.

Hyatt Zilara
This was a very good time to visit, ideal temperature, great pool and the beach did not have seaweed. Hyatt Zilara has the best staff, this is the type of service we should expect from all resorts.

Perfect amount of relaxation and walks on the beach
We stayed here years ago when it was Secrets. The food is still good, beach and water are nice, service is great. Miguel at breakfast and Lolas was great. Diana serving up cocktails on the beach was amazing. Fermin and Hector on the Entertainment Team were super and Cricket for Aqua was a good workout. Our room was cleaned well and fridge stocked daily. The gym was well equipped. There was nightly entertainment from 7 or 8 until 10 then basically lights out, though we are in early and don't stay up late anyway. It was the prefect amount of relaxation with long walks on the beach.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 9 day stay at the Hyatt Zilara Riviera Maya. The staff was outstanding. Shout out to Noe, Norma, Furman, Kairo, Lucerno, and Julio, all of whom treated us like family. The hotel itself could use a bit of an upgrade here and there but overall it was clean and comfortable. It was easy to get around as it’s not too big. The food was excellent and the staff was attentive to my dietary restrictions (celiac disease). We wished there were a couple more restaurants as the restaurants opened on a rotation which further limited our options, but we definitely didn’t starve! Pool and pool area area was clean and lots of fun. Perhaps a few too many chairs that were reserved for VIP members, but not occupied. Beach was one of the most beautiful beaches we’ve visited. Beautiful white sand, comfortable beach chairs, and easy to get into the ocean to swim. A nice 15 minute beach walk from the resort lead us to a cenote which was a highlight of our trip. Entertainment was very good. Bartenders were very accommodating and would make anything you wanted.
