    Hyatt Zilara Riviera Maya

    This trip by far exceeded our expectations. It was our first time at a Hyatt Zilara and it was a great trip. We stayed in an oceanfront king suite and our view was amazing. Our Butler was Fernanda, and she also exceeded our expectations and made our trip special and stress free. If you decide to go deep sea fishing and catch fish and bring it back to the resort take it to Chef Hugo to prepare for you. we go deep-sea fishing almost every trip on every vacation and are lucky enough to catch something and bring it back to the resort each time and chef Hugo had exceeded our expectations on the preparation and the meal by far compared to any other resort we had brought our catch back to. The resort is very clean.

    I was very happy with the level of service, quality of the food, and the whole experience! Fermin, who was an entertainer, had so much fun. The Italian restaurant was the bomb!!

    My wife's birthday and our 35 th anniversary, the location service and most of the food options were truly excellent, The available upgrade to a suite with personal butler service way way above and beyond.

    My Review on Hyatt Zilara Riviera Maya

    I read many of the reviews and can only guess that those writing them never stayed at a Secrets property. In May of 2025. My travel Agent booked a swim out room with double beds. On Sunday September 14th we arrived at the resort around 2:00. Upon check-in, Jacob at the front desk, immediately said “We don’t offer double beds in our swim out rooms” even though their website clearly states they do. I understand double beds are based on availability upon check-in, BUT to be told we don’t offer double beds is a lie, plus our reservations were made in May, they had plenty of notice to accommodate the request. Next, we were offered a roll away bed but later were told, sorry we can’t do that. I asked them (now speaking to management) to move us to a room with double beds, but I was told, you must cancel your reservation and rebook online, which I thought the resort would do for us, wrong again. Jacob said we can’t make a reservation at the front desk because our credit card machines won’t accept payments. Note: They had NO issue taking my credit card for spa charges. After many phone calls to my travel agent, she rebooked us a tropical view room for the following day. The resort was only at 30% occupancy, and they made no attempt to accommodate us. Food was good, but many of the restaurants were closed due to low occupancy. Mosquito Repellent is a must. Several Coatis are running around; you MUST keep your glass sliders locked and closed. When walking around, beware of large holes in the ceramic tile around the pool area. Just think twice before booking at this resort, I know my travel agent won’t recommend it to guests, simply due to customer service.

    Annual Company Retreat

    Came here for our company retreat. The staff was AMAZING. Norman helped me plan everything remotely and paid attention to every detail of our event. Zyanya, Fernanda, and Renata were very kind and helpful in daily support for me as a guest and retreat coordinator. Fermin and Yunuel hosted wonderful activities for our group and brought a lot of excitement with them! The resort is the perfect size for a corporate event, rooms and different areas are close enough together so that you do not have to do a lot of walking. The pool/beach was very relaxing, and the entertainment was amazing.
