Dec 09, 2025Peaceful but not sound proof
Stayed in a 2 bed. overall clean space. Tv a bit challenging and more delayed than expected. On my last night's stay I had a neighbor who got up at 3AM and was speaking LOUDLY that woke me up. Front desk eventually answered on my 3rd attempt. The security had to go up twice to try to get the person to respond... the (seemingly Russian woman) went silent when the security knocked.. and within 15 minutes the guest was running her call center with full voice volume .lol ....Security returned the guest still did not answer..lol.. FD called room and i could still hear the woman on full blown conversation on her arranging her flight from Miami to San Francisco..lol :)) ... she did not answer FD..lol I eventually put a pillow on my head and tried my best... Besides the delayed answer on the call the staff tried.... so kudos to the security guard and the FD lady!!! Beautiful river view with nice open lobby... yes i would go back... (i would like to enquire if i have Russian neighbor's first tho!!)

Sadly very disappointing for a Hyatt brand. Left a tank top there and called immediately that night I checked out. They told me HK was off and would follow up (I received a follow up that they would follow up). Called a week later and they said nothing was turned in - but I knew no one checked with the laundry company or just felt disinterested to help. Felt dishonest maybe. The HK manager should have reached out. Couldn't imagine if I actually left something of higher value. Also had colleagues check in with a used robe in the room. I get things happen but the lack of follow up or resolution is honestly quite disappointing.

Waste of time unless you’re using points
Better go somewhere else unless you like wasting your money. This place has no hospitality in its bones at all. They’ll treat you like a receipt

Nice for the money - Don't venture far at night
We chose the hotel because it was priced better than the local competitors. The room was fine a bit dated very spacious. The bed was comfortable and the room clean. We had lunch downstairs in the lobby and it was OK. The The staff was friendly and check in and check out. We ventured out for dinner and the restaurant we chose was about three blocks away. Once we got two blocks off the main street though things deteriorated badly and there were bums passed out on the sidewalk. We immediately turned and went in the other direction fearing our safety. So to summarize it was a nice choice for a pre cruise room. Below others in the area but seemed a bit dangerous if you walked far from the hotel.

Great Service and Perfect Location
I recently stayed at the Hyatt Regency and had a wonderful experience. The rooms are not new, but they were very clean, and the front desk staff was amazing—everyone was friendly, kind, and provided exceptional service. This is not a new hotel, but they have kept the property very up to date. They offer free bottled water you can take up to your room, and the rooms come with a refrigerator, which is very convenient. I chose this hotel for the location—location, location, location—and it truly is the key. The housekeepers also cleaned the room very thoroughly. Stay here for convenience—if that’s what you need, pick this one. If you are looking for something brand new, this is not the place, but if you want a comfortable and well-maintained stay downtown, I’d definitely recommend the Hyatt Regency.
