This is a fantastic location for seeing many of the holiday attractions; Christmas lights, concerts, plays. The location is what drew us to this particular hotel, but we were terribly disappointed in the rest of our stay. From poor quality and disfunctional furnishings/cabinetry in the room, to overpriced and poor quality food service at the rooftop bar, not to mention the false fire alarm at 4:30am with poor communication. As great as the location was, the overall experience fell way short of our expectations for a Hyatt Hotel.

We stayed in November for Thanksgiving. Great location for seeing the sights, we upgraded our room to the 53rd floor, views were amazing and it was quiet! All the staff were so friendly and helpful, would definitely stay here again

Fantastic hotel in fantastic location
Fantastic location!!! Great rooms and excellent rooftop bar with great views. My family of four had a room with 2 queen beds and space was better than expected in NYC. Easy to get anywhere from this location.

Outstanding Service
Choice Hyatt Centric Times Square for its location and it did not disappoint. All the staff I had contact with were superb. From Dede and Mark at front reception to housekeeper Wendy and the guys dealing with valet/taxis. Always had time to chat and make suggestions. The room (King Size) was exactly what I expected with nice touches. I had an amazing time in New York and staff were part of that experience.

Nice clean hotel but everything else is extra extra.
Overall, a decently maintained hotel with friendly staff. Location is primo in the center of everything and right in Times Sq and steps away from Broadway and theatre district. Had to pay extra for an upgrade even though we have a status with Hyatt and called ahead of time to request it as we were coming in for our anniversary. Views from Bar 54 are gorgeous. Husband and I bought a round of drinks at Bar 54 for over $50, and they wouldn't let us sit at the table by the window saying we would need to share with another couple because the table seats 4. This was at 1130pm and no one else was there. Management may want to advise staff that guests at the hotel should get first preference since they are already spending a lot to stay there. Moreover, there was no one else there waiting to get seated. Will stay at Greyson next time.
