The El Cid was absolutely wonderful!! We would definitely recommend and go back ! The preferred club was great and we would say worth the extra money to be a part of. We loved our butlers that helped us and checked in with us each day , our main butler was Luis and awesome a just so good!! Alma and Abraham were also very helpful !! ! Some of the things they did for us was book all our restaurants, pillow menu, aromatherapy and delivered a bottle of red wine each night we asked for one, and extra beer! He also was available to drive us in his golf cart as needed. Food at the resort was very good !! The staff were very friendly and helpful. Room service was great ! The resort and grounds were beautiful and the room was roomy, and the bed was very comfortable with a good mattress. We liked the location of our building and the options of using the other resorts attached. Ocean view would have been nice but it was only a short walk to the beach and main pool. Honestly is was a wonderful vacation and we didn’t want to come home!!

This is a great resort! It is extremely clean and the gardens are nothing short of paradise. The food is great and we ate very well! I want to personally thank Irving for his help and all his great advices. If you need anything , you need to go that guy! The only criticism is the fact that we required in our reservations to have adjoining rooms as well as a king bed in one room and 2 beds in the other. When we checked in, the front desk employee did not meet those requirements but asked us to pay $1000 more in order to have what we requested. I am aware those are just wishful requirements but this was not high season and he could have make an effort. I asked those before in other resorts and it was not an issue at all.

Amazing Vacation
The Family and I had an amazing time at Hotel Marina El Cid Spa Beach Resort and had the Best Butlers Manuel and Are who took Great care of Us! We definitely be coming back

Best service ever.
I'm writing a review specifically to shout out to Joan. He's been our cocktail server for two days now. He's amazing. He's so attentive and friendly we are getting ready to change bars because his shift is ending and he's moving to another pool. He's that good. Six out of five stars.

Relaxing Vacation in Paradise
The Resort was family friendly. There were many fun activities at the pool. Thank you to Esme and the rest of the entertainment staff for making it a fun filled week. Hugo and Alma were our butlers for the week. They always made sure our needs were met. They felt more like friends and gave us a beautiful surprise on our last night there. There were minor hiccups during our stay but each time the staff made up for it. We had two rooms booked during our stay. One for us and another for our young adult children. Their room had issues regarding air conditioning and fridge issues. When brought up to the staff, they promptly changed their rooms ( within 10 minutes). They changed rooms to Ventus Marina, a short walk away. This suited them better for the decor and location. They had fun at the infinity pool most nights. The food ranged from good to awesome. I wished they had cooking classes to offer guests who wanted to recreate some of their delicious dishes at home. Also one member of our group has Celiac disease therefore has gluten restrictions. Every restaurant made sure of allergies and were so helpful in food choices for our child. I can't remember his name but there was a particular staff member at The Marina restaurant that went above to make no cross contamination occurred even at the table by separating plates away and always told my son which food item, especially ones that seemed gluten free, that were not. My son said he never ate so much in his life and was never left hungry. The best foods were had at The Marina and KOBO. After dinner one night at the Marina we were surprised to see some of the dolphins come up from the water. Quite a nice treat. As a previous review mentioned bring lots of change for tips. These staff members are honest, hard working people that work extremely hard to make your vacation dreams come true. Another family joined us on our trip and one member of their party and another one of ours lost their Apple AirPods day before leaving. Security expedited the matter and both AirPods were found and delivered to us literally half our before our departure. We were not approached by timeshare people but I do know of certain families that were. There is a place to book tours and excursions but we managed by going into town and booking outside the hotel We booked through Costco. Our W2Meet driver was very friendly. The whole drive was quiet with no music as we had hoped. Later I realized if you asked the driver to put some music they happily did so. In all I believe we will revisit this paradise resort again.
