    Superb overall

My husband and I just returned from our stay at Hammock Cove for six nights. It was exactly as described and expected. We had a water view villa #28 and it had a nice view, as well good afternoon sun to enjoy the plunge pool, if desired. The food was delicious with the highlights being the 7 course dinners at Lighthouse, seafood grill at the beach (lobster was divine), and breakfast options were plentiful. The warm pita and hummus served at lunch time was one of the best I've had. The service from the bartenders, wait staff, and ambassadors was impeccable as they definitely aim to please. There have been plenty of negative reviews I've read that beach is small. We found it to be perfectly fit for the size of the resort. We did not have any issues with getting chairs or enjoying the water floaties. We also enjoyed the water sports - kayaked each day and attempted the paddle boards. The water activity staff is very helpful and friendly - especially trying to help with getting us acclimated to paddle boarding. This resort was, as we anticipated, a very relaxing, laid-back vacation and as we hoped. It wasn't loud, nor was it highly engaged in the night life with clubs. We enjoyed our stay and commend the staff for their service.

A brilliant place. It’s like paradise

This is a brilliant place. The staff are so attentive and the facilities are excellent. The Lighthouse restaurant serves a varied range of food which is brilliantly cooked. The staff on the beach keep asking if we are ok. They moved our umbrella to keep us in the shade and provided numerous drinks. The drinks at all venues were of a high standard.

Return visit - some great changes, only one con

A return trip to Hammock Cove and we really enjoyed our stay. I would like to compliment Hammock Cove on making some changes based on feedback from prior guests. We noted that in our room we had an upgraded phone to contact the ambassadors, there were new menu offerings for in-villa dining and at Irinas, in addition to changes to the wine offerings, pre-booked dinner reservations. Our villa on the prior stay had that comfy hanging chair outside, but it did swing and bang against the wall, so was happy for a different chair option this time. Sir Rob's was a nice new option for dinner as well. The food is always excellent - my fiance is obsessed with the hummus, the wings and the dorado. We really enjoyed the 7 course meal on Wednesday as well. The highlight though is always the staff. Our ambassadors, Shaquille, Matara and Rondel were fantastic. The housekeeping staff anticipated our needs and were so kind. The staff on the beach is so attentive and friendly. We had great service at the restaurants as well. My only criticism is the smoking. It was disheartening to see smoking / vaping allowed as I do not recall that being present in the past. There was one afternoon we left the beach and went back to our villa as it was getting to be too much.

    A True 5-Star Tropical Escape

We stayed overnight at Hammock Cove Antigua to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary. We stayed in a lovely villa overlooking the bay with a plunge pool & a fully stocked outside mini bar. We received excellent service and care by the friendly and welcoming staff, especially our Villa Ambassadors, Vandross & Jahsun & the exquisite food provided by Executive Chef Marco made our break a truly memorable one. If you’re looking to be pampered, this is the perfect place to go.

“Loyalty Rewarded with Cancellation — Deeply Disappointed”

We have always regarded Elite Island Resorts as among the very best in the Caribbean. During our second stay at Galley Bay, we arranged a Day Pass and tour of Hammock Cove, where we had already booked a holiday for 2025. The resort itself was exceptional — beautiful, well maintained, and staffed by some of the most professional and welcoming people we’ve met in Antigua. However, despite being loyal guests for over 17 years — with more than 20 visits across their properties — we were stunned when our confirmed 2025 booking was suddenly cancelled by the company, without any explanation. We were simply told that our future reservations would not be accepted and a refund would be issued. After so many years of loyalty and positive experiences, this abrupt treatment felt deeply disrespectful. It’s hard to understand why a long-standing guest would be excluded with no reason given. While I continue to rate the quality of the resorts themselves very highly, the way this situation was handled has left a lasting disappointment and raised serious questions about how the company now chooses to treat its returning guests.
