- House Without a Key
Immortalized in a 1925 Charlie Chan novel, House Without A Key is Halekulani's popular indoor/outdoor gathering spot for informal breakfast, lunch, cocktails, appetizers and entertainment, and offers a fresh option for evening dining in Waikiki. One of the favored traditions of the original Halekulani — cocktails and Hawaiian music under the century-old Kiawe tree — is faithfully preserved here.
As one of the best restaurants in Waikiki, House Without A Key is known for its signature mai tai, a classic to be enjoyed any time of the day.
- La MerDinner only. The only restaurant in Hawaii to receive the coveted AAA Five Diamond (Restaurant) Award, La Mer features Neoclassic French cuisine. With the ever-present sound of waves washing up on the shores of Waikiki, dining at the elegant ocean-side La Mer is an experience of superb taste and impeccable service. Wonderful hotel in the heart of Waikiki. Exceptional staff ensure a perfect stay. The choice of dinning venues is great and the food is excellent. If you want a great experience is every respect, the Halekulani is the place.

Welcome to Paradise
I almost don't want to share, because our experience was so great. This hotel truly welcomes you to paradise. From the moment you exit your vehicle you realize you have stepped into what vacation is suppose to be. There is pure joy on everyones face no matter what job they are doing. Obviously the HR department is quite picky on who they hire. It was crazy but I didn't find one person who seemed out of place. This is a well run hotel experience.

A lovely oasis.
A lovely oasis in the rather unpleasant frenzy that is Waikīkī. The Halekulani is a beautifully run hotel. The rooms are pleasant if not particularly memorable, but the service stands out as being akin to luxury properties in Asia rather than the lower standard of mainland US locations. The occupancy level was fairly low during my visit which made the pool area, the restaurants and bar particularly pleasant, but I get the sense that this is a very well trained staff that would deal with a full house quite successfully. A call out to Jeff at the bar at House Without a Key and the pool and breakfast servers who all were warm, offered prompt and professional service and always conveyed a sense of welcome.

Way above our expectations
Hotel Halekulani is way beyond my expectations. It was our first time to book here and I was very impressed by the rooms, facilities and services. From the porters, front desk and all other staff members, they are very consistent in giving their services and hospitality. We lost a baggage from the airport and we’re worried about the toiletries and other things we needed. Hotel Halekulani provided everything we need and we just had to buy clothes. They provide drinking tumblers, water dispensers and containers that are environmental friendly. They also provided us towels when we went to other places to swim. It was also my birthday and they sent a champagne bottle in the room for us to celebrate! We had cookies, fruits and other freebies. We will definitely go back here. Shout out to front desk Vinh who accompanied us to our room and explained the restaurants, facilities and even events for that weekend. It was really a great experience!

Our "Forever" Hotel in Hawaii
We used to walk past this hotel as a young family. Then my wife and I would be adventurous enough to have dinner at their Orchids restaurant. The view of the sea as you enter the restaurant is so beautiful it is almost unreal. Then in recent years we have shifted to this hotel. It, honestly, is paradise. The commitment at every level is faultless. Longevity of staff, consistency of personalized service, rooms that are so well attended and cared for and an atmosphere of "family" that is created by Davide Barnes and his extraordinary team. This hotel is luxe meets personal. Whether you are by the pool, at one of the many restaurants, or simply wandering amongst the most beautiful hotel Christmas decorations in Hawaii, there is always someone nearby to make you feel special. This will be our "forever" hotel in Hawaii and I'm already missing our week there. At the intersection of attention to detail and personalized service lies the Halekulani. It is perfection.
