SInce my review of 2019, I have had a lot of back and forth with this company, especially over the last year or so, and it’s been extremely disappointing and frustrating (to say the least). Availability is always extremely limited, even when booking far in advance. The premiums they charge are not worth the dated rooms and amenities. They claim “great prices” but it’s really a complete rip off and they show no understanding or willingness to fix the problems at hand. Customer service is awful, just like the rest of my experience with them. Would not recommend!!

Dec 08, 2025A visit to Cancun with controlled beach access
It was a good experience overall. The food was so-so except the paid restaurant that was amazing. My main dissatisfaction was with the excessive control over access to the beach I was denied access to the beach around 8:30 am and was told because the beach was rough (see the picture attached of the “roughness” of that beach lol). I’m a grown man and don’t need a babysitter to enter the water at a beach. Imagine paying/going to a beach resort and not being allowed to enter the water because someone decided what I can and cannot handle in the water

What a great vacation we had in Cancún. This place is way more beautiful than we expected. what made it even better is the resort we stayed at I.e “Grand Park Royal-Cancún”. Huge Beautiful property right at the Caribbean beach. The resort Staff from every department made us feel like home. To name some and to start with,Joshua from concierge was very welcoming. Mariana from presentation team who explained us about resort was super friendly and very knowledgeable. Ilse from Koi restaurant always made sure we get our tables on time even tho this restaurant is always busy and last but definitely not the least the funtastica team who always made sure that there’s never a dull moment. Specially Joshua and Dario they both were top on doing various activities for guests, like beach volleyball, ping pong tournaments, karaoke, bingo nights, water aerobics etc. which made the whole stay even more enjoyable! The only thing we didn’t really enjoy or hoped for better and more options was food. Food was a bit disappointing and we didn’t really enjoyed it. Wished they had more vegetarian options as well. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would love to come back to the same resort. Talking about services like transfers, we had to wait more than an hour to get our transfer pick up from airport to hotel, which was super annoying and exhausting. Please have some better arrangements. Booking this vacation with Sunwing was painless and easy. Liked it!

We really enjoy Grand Park Royal. The staff are fantastic, the Koi Restaurant is always the best. Buffet food is “meh” as my kids would say. Food is usually just warm, not hot unless you get it from the cook section. Breakfast fresh omelets are great! We have stayed here many times and will be coming back again!

Perfect Honeymoon destination 10/10
My husband surprised me with an all inclusive 6 day, 5 night stay at the Grand Park Royal Cancun. We had a lovely stay. Zero complaints. The only gripe we had was the member bracelets kept getting destroyed and we had to continually replace them which meant a trip to the front desk each time. Our suggestion would be to use plastic or rubber bands instead of ribbon. Special shout out to our butler Yajahira Nic, she was so sweet and always ready and willing to be of service. She helped us book meals and other activities during our stay. Special thank you to the wait staff, Gilberto is a top notch bartender at the adult pool. He gets 10 stars. Gilberto deserves a paid vacation for he and his family. All of the wait staff and servers were incredible. Leo, Alexis, and Julio were among our favorites at the resort restaurants. Pablo was also amazing and very helpful when he gave us a presentation on becoming a member. We ate so well. The Mexican restaurant was our favorite but we highly recommend visiting the steak house as well. We had so much fun at the Hibachi. The food was all fresh and delicious. There was a huge Mexican fiesta our last night anf it was so well organized. All of the performers were amazing and the performances were as equally beautiful. Highly recommend staying at this resort. 10/10. Clean. Clean. Clean. Spectacular service. Say, hello to Alberta (the iguana) for us!
