    Fantastic overall experience

    What a fabulous holiday, I’ve just had with my wife at this resort. The food was devine, the service was amazing and the entertainment was brilliant. From start to finish we have had a superb holiday. I’d like to mention a few of the team.. Play makers Yavi, Monica, Bella, Chiana, Bam Bam and Mauricio. Breakfast Carlos, the lady who shows you to your seat, always dressed smartly in her black dress. Beatrix. Bars Augustine, girls at the main stage bar, Jesus Spa Ely, Angel Pool area Little Daniel, Caesar, Butler service Daniel, Rafael, Reception Jesus, The room was spectacular, more than what we expected. Pool areas were really engaging and again service round the pools was brilliant!! We will be returning, shame we had to leave it all behind!

    Always feels like coming home!

    We just got back from an amazing stay at Desire Riviera Maya in an Eden Ocean Diamond Swim-Up, and the entire team made it unforgettable! Our butlers — Ericka, Mike, and Abel — took incredible care of us, with our former butlers G and LeFranc even stopping by to say hello. The Playmakers (Bella, Mauricio, Chiara, and Monica) kept the fun alive — Bella even got me on the dance floor! Piña, BamBam, and Javi always had a smile for us, which made every day brighter. By the pool, Africa, Eduardo, and C made sure we were relaxed and never without a drink. Special thanks as well to Julio, grill master extraordinaire, at the Flirty Burger Bar, Porfirio at Kahlo, Archangel the sommelier, and Leo at Sahlo. The lovely hostesses and Melange evening waitresses, Fabiola and Andrea, always made us feel welcome and our glasses full. From start to finish, it was pure paradise — we’re already dreaming of our return! 🌴🍹💃

    Not the resort it used to be..money must be tight.

    This sadly is not the Desire we knew. We have had some of the best times of our life there in the past. This was our 4th trip to DRM and almost surely will be our last. The first thing we noticed was that the alcohol had been completely watered down. My wife is very small and two drinks make her tipsy..at the end of drink three from the pool bar..she said, "This doesn't taste like there is ANY alcohol in it. I had to concur. Second, on two nights that we went to the large hottub we were approached by separate foreign men who told us similar stories about their wives being back at the room. After seeing them multiple nights alone..it became clear they were at the resort alone. They were really creepy..I'll just leave it at that. As we walked from our room on the older side of the resort, we noticed a heavy smell of urine each time..we figured out this was from all of the raccoons and other animals (there are way more now than there ever was before) My wife discovered that our bed, walls and a bunch of our clothing was covered in tiny bugs that surely came through the door (noticeable gap at the top where you could see light) A maid showed up with a can of poison and was literally going to spray while we were still in there. At that poin it was our last day and we had them take all the bedding out of our room. When we checked out..we made sure to tell them again about it and they could not have cared less. The staff has always been amazing there..but sadly there are a lot of new people that just don't care. The prices have become outragous especially if you stay on the Eden side...and honestly...it just was not worth it..we left..sad that the place we loved to meet people is apparently all about the money now.

    Pants are stupid

    We love it here. Our 3rd time and can't wait to come back. All the staff are great. Edgar at the coffee bar was especially lovely to talk to.

    We love this place so much, we came back in six months.

    We love this place so much that we came back after six months. When you step out of the car in the front of the resort, they greet you with the "Welcome Home!". We met the new conceirge, Roberto, who told us what's happending that week. In fact, every time we ran into Roberto around the proerpty he greeted us with our names. Now the playmakers staff...what can I say about a group of people so perfect for their jobs. Every day their energy is so upbeat and positive and exceed everyone's exceptions in having a great time at the pool with fun and games and a great sense of humor. Each person on the staff brings something wonderful...Javi, Bella, Pina, Maurico, Bam Bam, and Monica! When you relax at the pool you are immefiately greeted by either Edwardo or Africa who find out quickly how to make your time even better. If it's not just drinks,,. they are happy to get you lunch. As I have said in prevous reviews, we have enjoyed meeting Manu and being taken excellent care of at the fine dining estabiishment, Eros. He recommended a delciious tradiitonal Mexican breakfast that my husband and I enjoyed. Last is my dear friend, Raquel, that runs the jewelry shop in the lobby. Something you just don't want to miss. It was my husband's birthday, but somehow I scored another piece of beautiful custom jewelry. Raqeul is a gem herself.
