Very pleasant hotel with great service
Stayed here for seven nights in mid-January and have to say the place really grew on me and I would recommend, despite a number of shortfalls. It is a good two-hour drive from Kingston airport but the complimentary hotel transfer was seamless enough in a small mini bus, complete with decent reggae music along the way! Arriving late at night meant the introduction to the services wasn’t as great as I’d expect but they do offer a daily ‘orientation’ tour at 10am which is great to get you familiar with everywhere in the large complex. Our room was on the fourth floor and down the side of the property. At first this felt a little ‘cut off’ but actually was really nice - there were still good ocean views from the balcony but it came with no noise from the pools or evening activities so was totally relaxing. It was a shame that the mini bar was empty on arrival, with no instructions on how to get it stocked, and indeed there was no guide to any of the services or facilities, so the morning orientation session is a must! It was annoying there were no light switches next to the bed so you need to navigate from the door in the dark, not helped by the fact the bedside lamp was badly broken; some maintenance and touch-up in the room wouldn’t go amiss. It was also frustrating that the shower had really weak power and, while great at always returning throughout the day, housekeeping were very random with what they did - sometimes exchanging four towels for two, large with small etc. However the main the room was great - really large and spacious, wonderful balcony with seating, effective air-conditioning and ceiling fan, loads of storage space, huge comfortable bed and everywhere really clean. Eventually we found there was a website where you could request the mini-bar to be stocked, as well as make restaurant reservations which was really handy; just a shame it wasn’t advertised better! The variety of restaurants is great, although most require a reservation to be made. The buffet restaurant had small changes each day to try prevent it becoming repetitive and the food quality across them all was generally good. The various bars throughout the complex are fantastic - great staff, a huge menu and both premium and local spirits available. There’s a couple of pools and both felt a little dirty as the day went on. There’s also no umbrellas for any of the loungers, so if you’re not a sun lover you need to be careful securing one of the few options in the shade, but otherwise there’s some good comfortable seating available. The swim-up bar is a real gem with wonderful service and a good amount of seating for the size of the pool. There’s plenty of free activities on offer including various water sports. The glass bottom-boat trip was a nice highlight, giving a good overview of the local area as well as the sea life. Each day there’s also some form of activity on the beach or by the pools, but fortunately none of it is too intrusive and there’s never pressure to join in if you don’t want. Overall if was a great hotel for a week of relaxation and I’d certainly consider staying again!

I would return
Very beautiful grounds and most staff were amazing to include housekeeping, spa and waist staff. I recommend if you stay in the villa obtain the spa menu in advance, which has been modified recently and try to book your spa services in advance otherwise they may tell you “we don’t have anyone available to perform your service “, which I was told, not exactly “unlimited” as advertised.

It’s Official, This is Now Our New Jamaica Home
After enjoying our first visit to Tower Isle in November 2024 this return visit in late July, early August 2025 confirms it for us. We have now found our new Jamaica home. We thoroughly enjoyed both stays but our second stay was even better than the first simply because we were more familiar with the wonderful staff and the resort at large. OK, the ride from Sangster airport is a bit testy but once you get onto the resort property all is well. Check in was a breeze and our Bellman, Annesley (AKA Panda) got us to our room in record time. Not without a quick stop to see Paulette at guest reservations to get set up with some dates and times to Eight Rivers and Bay Side. Thanks to you both for your outstanding help. Our room, 4412 was great with the waterfront view we just can’t get enough of. Everything in the room worked as planned. Housekeeping was excellent. During the week we had several housekeepers but one stood out. Asanya was outgoing and warm. What a wonderful human being! She even did some towel art for us which is a thing of the past. The mini bar service was spot on and kept our room beverage supplies well stocked. We attended a Jamaican cooking class and Chef Javaun taught us how to prepare jerk chicken and jerk sauce. Chef Javaun applies his delicious talents and skills at the Eight Rivers restaurant. Keep an eye on this guy because he is obviously a chef with special gifts. Donlene was one of the ladies in the Patio dining room who helped make our experience there extremely pleasant. Such professionalism is to be admired and appreciated. The grounds at the resort are jam packed with all sorts of tropical vegetation and trees. We did a nature walk with Roland (I’m not sure if I got his name right but his picture is included with this review) and really enjoyed his sharing the limitless info he has on the landscaping of the property. There’s a philosophy that says something like” If you enjoyed your experience, tell everyone. If you didn’t, keep it to yourself.” We have found that vacationing in Jamaica isn’t all peaches and cream but we have learned that the unpleasant things that happen must not keep us from enjoying every minute of our stay. Remember that there are no problems, just situations. Contact me if you want those juice details. In closing, this was our 12th trip to Jamaica, our 3rd stay with Couples, our 2nd stay at Tower Isle. We have seven different Jamaican resorts under our belts and we are relieved to know that Couples Tower Isle is our home away from home. We can’t wait to get back!

Relaxation in a great environment
This was our first time to Jamaica and a Couples resort so we hoped it would live up the reviews and it did. Room: We stayed in an ocean view room in building 4 and the room was very clean and well maintained. I do have to say that everyone complains about the shallow sinks in the bathroom and yes they are dumb. The bed was very comfortable to sleep on and pillows were great as well. I do wish the blackout curtains went all the way to the floor because it does get bright pretty early. Once we were inside the room we didnt hear anyone else at all. Dining: Eight Rivers and Bayside restaurant lived up to what we heard and I can't complain about them at all. In the main area buffet restaurant the food was always good but sometimes it was hard to get service or attention. For lunch most days we ate at the grill and it was as expected from a grill with burgers and fries. I did really like the soda machine in the grill to get water and ice at anytime even if they were closed. Bars: These bartenders can pour some stiff drinks and nothing was watered down like I have had in some Mexico resorts. Admittedly we spent most of days on the island being served by Santana and she was great and mixing and serving drinks whenever we needed. Espresso Martinis in the piano bar at night were a great way to wind down the evening. Pools and Beach: As I mentioned we spent most days on the island and it was so much fun. The people are so nice and you can relax in the sun alone if wanted or talk and play card games in the pool with an amazing group. When we did spend a little time at the main pool bar towards the end of the day the drinks were good and people were partying. Late at night we loved going to the buddha pool and just relaxing in the quiet environment before turning in. Diving: The dive staff was great and they are very safety focused. Make sure you bring your dive logs in addition to your certifications to prove your recent dives. When we did get everything taken care they were awesome in getting us setup and onto the boats. We saw sea turtles, crabs, lobster and all types of fish. We would go back in a heartbeat and are planning a return visit next year.

Beautiful romantic resort
The fact I’m doing this review while I’m still here says alot!!! This place is phenomenal….. from the food to the service to the atmosphere! Ainslay has gone over and beyond from the moment we got here! Dwayne with the water sports is on a different level!!! He took us out sailing and my beautiful beach hat flew off. I told him it’s ok to forget it….. nope, he turned the sail around and kept his eye on my hat….. we got it back!!! He was just awesome from his service to his amazing personality! This resort is top notch!!!
