Waiters, maids and lower staff was wonderful no complaints. Location should not be advertised as breach front, there is no breach, all rocks underneath the water. The food was good the first day until I found out that I had to eat the exact same thing for the next six days for lunch and dinner. There were no specific nights at the buffet. It was the same every day.

Rooms:- Very dated… cleaned regular… cockroaches in our room… wee stain on the back of our loo from day 8 to day 14… Bedpost broke door had all paint scrapped off… bath plug hole all green and black… shower curtain falling off… bathroom ceiling major cracks and looks like paint on ceiling all bubbling… HOTEL:- If ur Mexican or Italian or Spanish then you will be well away… at weekend it’s packed with locals… they come 1st in restaurants they barge by you in queue and they let them in… NO CHIPS IN THE RESTUARANT???? wot the heck?? They don’t have cheese biscuits pate and they have rice pudding for brekfast??? Poor kids wot the heck do they eat? No kids corner etc bloody terrible… The food is awful… deffo need new chef The grounds itself is lovely and hotel is nice Bar at pool they need to learn manners…

We went to Catalonia Yucatan end of July 2025. We rapidly discover the benefice to upgrade to Catalonia Riviera Maya, just next door. It gives you access to great restaurants and a modern room. For doing so, we had the help of Julio and manager Monica that we salute and thank so much for their great help, as Sandra who helped us booking the restaurants. Thanks guys! Also, the people working there are all very welcoming, from the security man to the lady room, to the waiters and to the chef! We had a very nice week there and even if it’s not the more superbe beach, because of rocks in the water we had the chance to see plenty of beautiful fishes, crabs and ray! Men are working hard under the hot sun to get ride of sargasse. In conclusion, nice week. Cheers!

Disappointing when the rest of Mexico has been such an adventure
Not great. Poor food, mostly unfriendly staff, the waitress at the Mexican A La Carte rolled her eyes at me before I’d even spoken, dated rooms. Maybe we had been spoiled by the incredible two hotels we had stayed in at Playa De Carmen and El Cuyo. The food in Mexico has exceeded all expectations and been consistently incredible and reasonable, coming here has been such a disappointment after 1.5 weeks of exceptional food and drink, we ended up eating out the last 2 nights - couldn’t face the lack of atmosphere and rubbish food any longer. Drinks were typical all inclusive sugary rubbish, nothing compared to the delicious and crazy cheap mescalitas on offer elsewhere. Mexico is too incredible to waste too much time in a resort like this one.

This is a very old and dated hotel and should not be an hotel Tui endorse. Poor food , poor service and not a friendly hotel at all
