  An Amazing Stay With a few Caveats

  I stayed at Casa Velas in November and overall had a wonderful experience. This is truly a beautiful resort on the golf, with an atmosphere that feels peaceful, upscale, and welcoming. The Tau Beach Club experience was also exceptional. The staff there are outstanding — a big shout-out to Omar and Leonardo at the Emiliano restaurant for their attentive and friendly service. Also, the 2 concierges and the manager at the beach club truly go above and beyond to make every guest’s day feel special. Their team is really what elevates the stay. That said, there are a few things that, in my opinion, would make the resort feel truly magical: • Coffee quality: For a property of this caliber, a proper espresso machine would make a world of difference. The current automatic machine produces a watered-down coffee using ground beans, which doesn’t match the otherwise high standards of the resort. Great coffee would bring the experience closer to a true five-star feeling. • Cleanliness under the bed: The room itself was spotless, but it would be good to ensure that the area under the bed is swept as well. • Pool maintenance: The pools at both the hotel and the beach club tended to get a visible ring along the sides, probably from high guest use of sunscreen. Everything else on the property is immaculate, so addressing this would really polish the overall impression. Despite these small caveats, Casa Velas is a truly wonderful place, and the staff make the experience memorable. I will absolutely return — with just a few adjustments, it could be close to perfect.

  Best holiday ever.

  My wife and I went to Casa Velas for our 10th anniversary. We've been to various parts of Mexico and this by far has been our best trip. The resort checks all boxes for us, and we can't wait to book a return. The grounds are kept immaculate from the hotel itself to the landscaping. The staff go above and beyond. I will mention a few but Avalos at the pool bar, and Rosie at Emiliano. They in particular made our stay most memorable. There is never a shortage of laughter with Avalos, and Rosie is so personable and kind. Antonio, Uleses, Ramon and Gerardo were amazing at the pool bar. Omar was our outstanding server for breakfast and lunch at Emilianos, and Camilia was the host, always with a smile. Freddy was at the reception bar every night. Just a classy guy, and really enjoyed his job. Carlos and Isaac at Tua were so hospitable. Honestly all the staff at the beach bar were amazing, we just couldn't remember all the names. 615 sunsets is perfect. Sarahi at reception was so very helpful whenever we had any questions. You could tell everyone that worked there really enjoyed Casa Velas. A great work environment. They all try very hard to make sure your stay is a memorable one. We met many couples that have been here quite a few times, which is a testament of the Velas brand. We stayed at Velas Vallarta years ago and it was the same quality of hospitality. There were 2 weddings and a tournament that came through during our stay, but the resort was extremely organized in manoeuvring the events so it was not disruptive with the holiday goers. A really well run place. Can't wait for our next stay.

  Amazing Stay Thanks to the Staff

  Casa Velas blew us away. The resort itself is beautiful, but the staff is what makes it unforgettable. Avelos and Ramón at the pool bar were the absolute best — fun, welcoming, and always going the extra mile. They brought so much energy to the pool every day and made us feel genuinely taken care of. Daniel at Emiliano also made our stay. He gave us a super fun wine tasting and handled all our dinner chaos with a smile. Truly such a great guy. Over at Táu Beach Club, Carlos made the experience next level. He always had our favorite cabana ready, kept us stocked with champagne, and made sure we were good the whole time. Just incredible service. Overall, we loved Casa Velas and Táu. Can’t recommend them enough — the staff is what really makes the trip.

  The perfect oasis for a quiet and relaxing adults-only all-inclusive holiday!

  Casa Velas is the perfect adults-only, all-inclusive small boutique resort for people who want a quiet and relaxing holiday. The attention to detail there was amazing, from the beautiful landscaping everywhere on the property to the delicious food presented at both the main Emiliano and Tau Beach Club restaurants to the thoughtful way that all the staff took care of us. We were even able to request specific times when we wanted the daily housekeeping and nightly turndown service to be done, which made it easier to plan our days and evenings. We enjoyed spending most of the day at the Tau Beach Club, returning to the larger pool at the main resort site later in the afternoon. The flat beach near the Tau Club was easily walkable, although the surface tended to heat up in the afternoon, but we were able to quickly scoot over the hot part to walk along the edge of the waves. There was a shuttle service that ran regularly for the short 5-minute ride between the resort and the beach club all day, giving us the best of both worlds. We ate most of our dinners at the beach club where we could watch the sunset and hear the waves. The food was excellent at both restaurants, with lots of variety on the menus. The one thing that we noticed at the Tau Beach Club is that they sell day passes to groups who aren’t staying at Casa Velas, so it can sometimes get busy there for finding chaises, although the staff will go out of their way to accommodate you. The only issue for us was that these groups didn’t always respect the rules about no smoking/vaping and tended to be people who were more boisterous than those of us who were guests at Casa Velas wanting to have a quieter experience. We recognize that it can be challenging to the staff to balance these two very different kinds of guests. Otherwise, we had a fabulous time staying at Casa Velas and have already booked another holiday there for early in the new year! Shout Outs to all of the staff, including the following: Armando the very dependable and personable shuttle driver between the main resort and the Tau Beach Club; Omar, Camila, Alfredo, Fernando, Rocio, and Daniel at the Emiliano restaurant; Enrique, Erick, Leslie, and Carlos at Tau Beach Club; Alonso, Victoria, and Sarah at the front lobby reception; Avalos serving at the main pool; Ramona our daily housekeeper who kept the room beautifully clean and well supplied, along with who came in to do the nightly turndown service (I think that her name started with an “N”). You’re all wonderful!!!

  Over the top service

  The property was exceptionally maintained. Food and drink was wonderful. The staff were “over the top” especially Alvalos, Rosio, Eduardos, Jesus, Omar, Camilla, Escarletta, Armando, Alex, Freddie, Ophelia to name a few. Everyone, all staff, made the experience welcoming. Enjoyed the escape!
