  Right I'm trying not to make this sound AI, but that's exactly what an AI would say.. the staff are great, very friendly, welcomed with a smile. I booked this trip solo for a birthday treat and I was surprised with a birthday banner on my room door and champagne. That's a great touch. The food is great, huge selection to cater for everyone. I hired a car and was able to park outside the hotel over night which is great . Sorry I'm over using great but that's how it is haha.. Night entertainment is top notch, reception very helpful with any queries.. Aside from other reviews I would classify it as 4stars, it's great hallways, carpets, areas are well maintained.. if this review helps someone making up there mind give it a go great value for money

  Sadly to say this was biggest holiday hotel let down. Service was poor, firstly no assistance with suitcases in arrival. Only 3 lifts and one was out of order for most of duration of holiday? Spoke to reception "Yes we know" So why don't you put notice on lift saying so? Recepionist just ignored and carried on doing what ever she was doing. Get to room and issue with opening door with wrist band unlokcking system. This was such an awkward way to gain entry to room. No coffee or tea making facilities did not see that on booking but just expected this as basic thing for 4* rated hotel. The hotel has art-deco vibe and looks like it has not been updated since the 1920s. To enter the dinning breakfast room you have to que due to lack of organisation and poor staff. We in the end we got wise just walked in like others were doing and sat at a table. Some other newbie holiday would wait and they were just being shown a table which was ready when we walked in and we would be finnished eating. The food was very poor we never had a hot meal and was tastless not a 4* establishment and staff were running around cos so few and not organised to say the least. Must say they were the polite helpful ones. The corridor carpets realy need re-doing they looked terrrible. Floor in our room was cheap laminate which was warped and comming apart. the bathroom was at first looked nice, but sit back and you will see the mildue and broken stuff. Photos show the issues Can at best give this a 2.5 star rating because the sea view was good. Area in this location is good so if you decide on this location avoid this hotel! Please note this was a half board holiday food out was so much better. Tui need to look into this hotel rating.

  Good location, food, drinks, great staff.

  Our 4th visit here, and not much has changed to any previous reviews. Location of the hotel is great. The scenery and gardens are beautiful. This year they really went all out for Halloween decorations. Brilliant. We had a sea view room although basic was clean and the beds very comfortable. The food is of good quality for an all inclusive, the fact that the staff actually take you to your table is a big plus, some all inclusive you can be walking round in circles looking for a table. The drinks and snacks are good around the pool, and the staff keep it clean, though it isn’t hard to move your own cups which is just common courtesy. Pool area is very pretty and the pool for the first time was actually heated this year which was nice. The evening entertainment is not great, as the daytime isn’t either. But there is always something on and the table service in the room is great, and the choice of drinks/cocktails is good. In regard the staff at the hotel, they are all very attentive and always smiling, they are continually cleaning and this makes a really nice looking hotel. If I have to pick one thing that let’s it down is the carpets on the landings are all worn and discoloured, the doorframes the same. But the staff really do make the difference, and are a real credit to the hotel.

  Not luxury NOT 4*

  This hotel has been one of the most disappointing experiences we’ve ever had. The 4 star rating is completely misleading. From arrival, the room was in poor condition… the communal carpet and furnishings were old and worn, the bath looked dirty, and the towel provided on arrival had a yellow stain. The next morning we returned from breakfast to find the bedding was dirty, which was unacceptable. After the cleaner came later that day, a child’s pillow went missing which was the final straw. The food has been the worst I’ve experienced in any hotel. The buffet dinner was unappetising and extremely poor in quality, and while breakfast was slightly better, it still didn’t meet even basic expectations for a 4★ resort. The only positive part of our stay was the entertainment staff they were genuinely fantastic, friendly, and worked hard to create a good atmosphere despite everything else. To anyone thinking of booking here: don’t. Take photos or videos of your room as soon as you arrive and before you leave, in case you need proof of any issues. We also had a very upsetting experience when another guest refused to share a lift with a Black member of our family a moment of open racism that left us shocked and deeply uncomfortable. This was meant to be a short, special break to celebrate a milestone birthday, but instead it’s been stressful and disappointing from start to finish. Bahia Principe should be embarrassed to market this property as a 4 star hotel, it’s far from it.

  A must stay when visiting the north

  Excellent place to stay in Tenerife. So much around the hotel to explore. The hotel was very clean and tidy, the service was excellent. There’s no menu for cocktails (that I could see) but they had most things to make whatever you wanted. I he food some nights was excellent, some nights average but I’m abit picky with what I eat. Transfer took around 1 and half hours and those that visit in October be glad to know the weather was glorious all week highest being 27. There’s a land train 10 minute walk next to maccies that takes you direct to Loro Parque for free
