Andaz Maui - Engagement Trip
Our stay at Andaz Maui was simply exceptional. We were greeted with a free bottle of wine upon arrival for celebrating our engagement and genuinely felt taken care of throughout the trip. The staff was attentive, warm, inviting, knowledgeable. We will cherish all the staff for their wonderful and friendly service who made our engagement trip so memorable (Lehua, John at Ka’ana, Aric, Levi, and Dre to specifically name a few wonderful staff members). The food at all restaurants was superb, fresh, and reasonably priced for a 5-Star resort. The waiters/waitresses were all excellent as well & the buffet breakfast was the perfect start to each day. We enjoyed lounging by the pool or beach, but also being active with the resort activities as well. The Feast at Mokapu was also something you do not want to miss. All around a genuienly perfect vacation.

A nice resort with an outstanding beach and great breakfast. But pales in comparison to other Andaz resorts and doesn't achieve the service level implied in the price or prestige they impart. Staff (from valet to pool) existed to do the bare minimum. Kids loved the wade-in pool and beach, but $20 for a kids PB&J? The Ritz isn't even charging that much.

I have always heard nothing but raving reviews of this hotel and was excited for my first visit. I went solo and had a lovely time. I do think this is more of a groups/ family resort and will definitely return with a group. If you love the beach, it’s right on property and lovely. If you like pools, there are adult pools and mixed pools. I also love the water bottles for sustainability and the efforts the hotel makes to get us to think about the environment. I was able to skip my housekeeping in lieu of a credit which I liked especially as I don’t need my room cleaned for shorter stays. I also loved the fitness schedule. I was able to take an awesome morning yoga class. I wanted to do Pilates but it’s at 7 am and that’s Too early for vacation! Please note that it’s outdoor so wears or take sunscreen/ hat/ glasses . I thought we were indoors and was not prepared but luckily there was shade. Also, do make dinner and luau reservations early as I didn’t and missed the luau dinner which I wanted to do! Also, I really loved the spa. There was limited availability so again plan ahead if you can. I had a relaxing 60 minute grounding massage that I wanted to never end!! I really appreciate that because I had a late appointment they allowed me to use the sauna the next day. It was already 80 degrees but gotta get rid of those toxins! The spa itself was lovely. Highly recommend. Overall, my stay was lovely but the only thing that was not as expected was the food. I don’t mind a buffet but this one did not have as much variety as you would expect. It is also interesting how the coffee and drinks are separate. Again, nothing major but would have appreciated free speciality coffee and teas Instead of making us pay separate. I also went to Morimoto and felt like it was OK for the high price. Again, hospitality was amazing but as a foodie with expectations the food was not as great as everyone had raved about. Maui was amazing and I do hope to return. Definitely will return with a group.
