Wonderful stay in Sunscape Sabor Cozumel. The staff were incredible nice and always ready to help with any of our inquiries. Check in was smooth and fast. We were able to do check in although we arrived early. Special thanks to Pablo ("Supervisor de Recepcion") who assigned us wonderful rooms (as we request) because we were traveling with my father who was celebrating his 92 birthday. A nice detail: my father received a welcome cake wishing him "happy birthday". The people in charged of water sports were also very nice and always ready to take you in the hobbiecat, handling the paddle board or cleaning the snorkeling mask (everything free!). Thank you Sunscape Sabor Cozumel we had a great time there!

Ok resort.

Very clean, nice location. Beautiful grounds. We arrived and the check in was good. However, we got to the room and it was already occupied? Management provide another room (junior studio) with no extra cost. William at the counter bent over backwards to help every time. Beach shoes are absolutely a most if you want to go in the ocean. But the water was exquisite. Pools are beautiful and well kept. Plenty of beach chairs, both at the beach and at the pools. Food was ok but most of the time cold. They work hard on having variety. Should I go back to Cozumel, I would probably pick another resort closer to the city.

Nice resort but....

Twice we were there with a scuba group and although the resort is nice, good food, great dive shop, both times there was a theft from the room. My husband's prescription Ray Bans from his locked room and a friend's iPod from her room. It was buried in her backpack, too. Management did nothing, didn't seem to care at all. We won't be back.

This resort is so under rated. We were uncertain when we were booking at there were so many negative reviews. However, once we arrived with a very large group ranging from 10 - 75 we were so happy that we booked! First off if you are looking for an ultra 5 star all inclusive this is not the resort for you. If you are looking for a fabulous all-inclusive fun and laid-back vacation Sunscape Sabor is the place! The location is stunning, the beach has so much to offer. There is snorkeling right in front of the resort, dive pick up at the pier next door, incredible sunsets, beach drink service, great swing bar on the beach and incredible entertainment staff! There was lots of food options, pizzeria was a hit as its right next to the buffet so everyone was happy! We celebrated a 20 years wedding anniversary with a beach renewal ceremony that was stunning and they made everything a breeze! There are minibars in the rooms but no room service, which was fine with us as there are 24-hour dining options. We loved this resort! Our room was in the preferred section with our own quieter pool that we rarely visited aside from late night dips. As we much preferred spending time and enjoying pool activities at the main pool. We arranged a few dinners at Secrets next door in the wine room at Bordeaux’s and of course enjoyed the disco there as well in the evenings. As I said, if you are looking for the top 5 star this is not for you, if you are looking for an amazing and affordable unlimited fun resort, this should make the list! Plus, the Jeep tour is fantastic, the spa was fabulous and the people were great! If you like to get off the resort, I highly recommend taking a taxi and heading into town and doing some shopping (a lot of great places) and enjoy the local scene! A lot of bars and restaurants to enjoy!

Exceedingly Satisfied!

Easy in/out of airport, that's not busy. A short ride to resort through and out of the downtown. Hotel check in/out was quite nice. One little bump with keys that didn't work initially, and one other time. Power went out once, but was quickly restored. Rooms are simple, but nice/clean. Beds are firm, and pillows decent. Some issues with patio door ease of open/close. Also, lighting in bathroom was dim, and with no off/on (so luckily it was stuck ON, but had to close the door to sleep without light). The split system AC unit works pretty well, but the LED light temp reading is also very bright which makes the room a little brighter for trying to get sleep, too. The fan was hard to reach to adjust fan speed. No major complaints, just some minor issues. We opted to skip paying 14.00/day for in room internet....it's in the lobby for free, but also didn't use...kind of nice to be "unplugged" for a few days! Once we go to the airport, we got reunited with the internet, and shared some pictures! One more nice thing, is that the hotel employee obviously read my request for high level floor with King bed, and any possible ocean view available, cause it happened! I couldn't have asked for more, without paying for more! I knew I would be getting a "deal of the day" tropical room, but they made it the best one they could for us! 3rd floor, with a partial ocean view! All employees are very friendly and quick service! Food and drinks were quite good, especially at the restaurants Patio (Mexican) and Dimario's (Italian). Buffet is okay/good...I'm not picky with what I eat, generally...but I was at this particular dining area, The Portofino...everything else was fine...the view while you eat in this open aired area, the service etc. Yes, there are some birds around, but they don't bother your table/food until you've left, then its a race between bird and waiter to grab the plates. Never used either of the 2 pools (one is action, the other nice and quiet), as the beach and snorkeling is awesome!...Just walk right in and go at it! Gear is provided, as well as kayaks, paddle boards, hobbiecats etc. We're not big on doing all the excursions, but we did do one and highly recommend it...for 65.00/person and for nearly 4 hours time...the "3 reefs" tour (Palancar and Columbia reefs...then, go to El Cielo) ..El Cielo is some of the clearest water you've ever seen, with shallow water in the middle of the ocean, pretty far off the main beach) to wind down, relax, have some drinks and ceviche. But first you snorkel the 2 reefs with a couple guides helping/leading you along. The water is more like 10-20 feet deep, and not scary, even for the timid. Just don't inhale the water, because you'll have to float (mandatory light life jackets help, which you control the buoyancy of) while you cough it up, as you cannot just put your feet down. You'll see more/other fish on this trip, like barracudas, trigger fish, and more! Overall, a really awesome vacation! This resort exceeded my expectations, and I would come back! Hands down, we liked Cozumel (all ocean play, no pooling it) better than Cancun (all pools, no playing in ocean)!
