My husband and I stayed one week at Sunscape Sabor in Cozumel. We loved the location. We had been looking at cheaper resorts and hotels that were closer to downtown and the cruise ships. We were so glad we did not book at those places. Sunscape sits on a very nice long beach area giving you room to take nice walks. Although there were spots where the sand was so soft it was hard to walk, you still had plenty of opportunity to stretch your legs. I loved the snorkeling. I am an anxious novice. I found the beach here to be perfect for a beginner. You could walk out to your waist and stick your face in the water and see fish. But it was nicer with a mask and snokel. It was rocky going into the water. Found it was easier to swim right out from the beach above the rocks rather than try to walk through them. The restaurants were very nice. We ate at all of them during our week and didn't have a problem with anything. We enjoyed the outdoor dining experiences the best. My only complaint would be the lack of bathrooms easily accessible from the beach. There are bathrooms but they could be more conveniently placed for people using the beach. They are located by the pools instead. We had a junior suite in building 35 with a partial ocean view. It was very nice. The resort is quite long. And our room was at the far end of all the activities. So we had quite a walk to get back to the action. It was a quiet location and we didn't mind the exercise. I mention it only for those who might want to request a room closer to the main area of the hotel. Would go back again. Wish I was there now!!!

The Sunscape Sabor is a fantastic resort. We had a group of 24 family and friends. The staff was absolutely fantastic. Raul with Olympic travel set us up on our private snorkel trip that was unbelievable. Clean rooms, good food and great service.

Wonderful in so many ways!

This was our third all-inclusive experience and we loved it. The Staff went out of their way to make it a special vacation! It started with Hassel who checked us in to Alajandro who kept us in drinks, to so many more who were there to make it a great time! Breakfast the first morning was disappointing, but then we found the Market Cafe and all was good. Overall food was plentiful and good. Great service at the bar and a nice added touch was the minibar in the room, re-filled daily and included in the package. Water sports were free and diverse from snorkeling, paddle boards, kayaks, and sailboats...all included. Rooms were clean and very comfortable. We had a great time and would consider it again!

4 star for her, 3.5 for me.

Overall in line with the other resorts with similar prices. We would stay again. The last two trips we stayed at Occidental Grand. These two are very comparable. Garden view rooms were clean, not ornate. if you want 5 star with white linen, then you will pay double elsewhere in CZM. Fantastic staff! The poor bartenders and wait-staff provide excellent service. I tried to tip a few dollars at meals and several more at the bar. They work very hard for the money. Hobi Cat use is for only 30 minutes per day in order to share. Boats are in good condition, again the staff is good and mostly friendly. Few things on this trip I will remember; 1, The concierge will always know what the "official rate" is before the cab arrives. So ALWAYS ask the cab driver "how much" before you take off in the cab. I've been going to CZM for 23 years, this is the FIRST time a cab driver tried to rip me off. I knew the fare was 350 pesos (peso is 20 X 1). The driver wanted $29.00 USD. I ONLY had $23.00 because that's what I planned on. I jumped out to talk to the concierge, whom immediately started chastising the driver. The hotel staff workers frown on cab drivers charging different rates. Accolades to the staff, again. 2, I know better, I know better, I know better...... Time-Share sales....Ughhh. But this time it's not a time share, "we just want you to come back, sooo".....If you go next door for 30 minutes and listen to the pitch, they will give you $200 in coupons for listening. I knew better so we didn't go. Our friends did. lol. It was two and a half hours and started at $49,000 USD plus, etc, etc. Their discounted Jeep (next day) was 3 hours late and a Toyota corrola. LMAO. 3, Since my friend was three hours late he was trying to get to the east side of the island to get to "Coconuts" before they close at 1900. I did mention a "speed trap" on the southwest side of the island on his way. Yep, he was still there. lol. The officer had a stack of tourists driver licences in his hand that he had acquired from speeders just that day. Believe it or not, my friend apologized and asked for forgiveness and the officer let him go with a warning. Says a lot for the police as they could have taken advantage of the poor guy. Lesson learned.....Don't speed and NEVER drink and drive in CZM!
