My girlfriend and I stayed here in Jan 17. The hotel lived up to our expectation. Amazing view of the pool and beach from ocean front room. The food was good and drinks were nice. Staff were friendly and the highlight was Javier and Ricky the entertainment guys. Very fun and friendly always keen to check in and have a chat. I would recommend this for your stay. If you are up for it climb Mt Solmar views were incredible from the top I would give a 4/5! Was sad to leave.

Seaside Bliss!

This is a wonderful iconic resort located in The Marina District of Cabo San Lucas, The resort is latterly carved into the rocky hillside perched like a jewel above the beach The Sandos resort has renovated and made The Finisterrra into a world class all inclusive resort. The Casitas in the back of the property overlooking the Marina are my favorite! The Whaler Bar is my spot for happy hour!!

Average All Inclusive. No Bargain.

Average at best. Just returned from Sandos Finisterra on January 15. We have stayed at many all inclusive resorts and this one, while okay, does not stand to compare to other locations for the price. We stayed in the ocean view junior suites. Pros: Staff Views Food (except for Tortuga) Plenty of chairs at pools Pool service Cons: Dated rooms. Rusty drains and stained walls and floors in bathroom. Very noisy in room from halls Minimal in room amenities No welcome drink/towel No water sports Unswimmable beach Ocean is down a hill from beach chairs Very small pool at swim up bar Super loud music at swim up bar pool Tortuga restaurant has very poor food. I do not recommend upgrading or doing elite club. There are so many better places. My advice is to stay at a real beach all inclusive in San Jose Del Cabo. While the staff try very hard, Sandos Finisterra falls a bit short on overall experience. Just not that great. Says this experienced all inclusive vacationer.

Wonderful sunny escape; great service!

We stayed for about six days (as a couple, with a group of family friends) over New Year's and had an amazing time. The resort is beautiful. I loved the all-inclusive aspect (I've never stayed somewhere all-inclusive before). Our room was beautiful, airy, and comfortable. The mini fridge is filled with beer, soda and chocolate bars and replenished every day. The restaurants on-site are great. I enjoyed the breakfast buffet, lunch at Agave, the pool bar (the drinks were inconsistent here but usually good), and the lobby bar ( we loved the bartender here). Our least favorite dinner was at Emiliano's. While the food was delicious, the service was slow and the portions were very small. I was still hungry after dinner, so I went down to Agave for a quesadilla. We also tried Tortuga Beach, which is supposed to be Mediterranean-themed but that wasn't reflected anywhere on the menu. They actually were able to prepare the tuna that we caught on a fishing trip for dinner for our group, and it was absolutely delicious. The portions there are much more generous than Emiliano's and their cocktail menu was pretty impressive. I didn't even know they had peach margaritas (and tons of other flavors besides strawberry and mango) until dinner at Tortuga Beach! We enjoyed the bonfire on the beach with s'mores, drinks, and dancing. We also loved the rooftop bar, which was only open on New Year's Eve during our stay but which had the best bartender (he also worked at the Stone Club during our stay). The Stone Club was a ton of fun for dancing. I treated myself to a massage and thought it was excellent. The spa is truly world class. Another member of our party enjoyed her first massage so much she went back, but the second massage was not very good. I think it can be hit or miss, but as I said I really enjoyed my experience. All in all, I had a great experience at this resort. I definitely would recommend it as a relaxing getaway. ***One thing to be aware of: They will ply you with margaritas and try to get you to go to a timeshare-promoting breakfast on your arrival. Just say no. The discounts you get in exchange for attending the breakfast don't even apply to many of the services that they claim you can get. (e.g. 30% off at the spa is only good for certain packages, not everything at the spa, etc.). They make you put cash down which they will reimburse once you attend the breakfast. I'd recommend skipping it altogether. This felt pretty scammy and started our trip off on a sour note.
