We have stayed at many of the Sandos resorts, and find that they have prime locations, beautifully maintained properties and well trained and courteous staff. Finesterra was no exception. The quality and variety of food was also better than most all inclusive resorts we've visited. Overall it was a fantastic experience. More>

We had a wonderful holiday. From the day we arrived to the day we left, the staff, from maids to waiters were fabulous. Everyone was very helpful and we were taken care of very well. The food and entertainment was great. Loved all the little spots to hang out. The coffee shop was great, went down every morning, it was like having a Starbucks in your hotel. This hotel was a five minute walk to the marina. We are for sure going back again. More>

We thought food and drinks were really good for an all-inclusive. The many pools and things to do kept us on the resort for our entire stay. We have been to Cabo many times and are continuing our stay for another 2 weeks at a non-inclusive resort where we can experience some of our favorite activities and restaurants. We had no desire to leave Sandos when there because it offers everything you need for a relaxing resort stay. Alberto ran tortuga and agave restaurants and did an excellent job of taking care of both. Any special request he was able to satisfy cheerfully. Ismael was also a very good bartender. The staff all seem to be very good at their jobs and happy to be working there. More>

This was our first trip to Cabo San Lucas. We stayed at the Sandos Finisterra Jan. 29th-Feb. 5th and booked a Finisterra Suite. Location of this property is perfect. Right on the beach, across the street from the marina, and within walking distance to downtown. Check-in / Check-out was quick and efficient. They took our bags up to our room and told us all about the room and our resort that we needed to know. We were not bothered with a membership sales pitch. Room-The first room we were assigned to had a leaking air conditioner and was facing a building. We asked to move and they did so happily. Our second room faced the marina, room 4102, and we were pleased with it. It was close to Don Diego restaurant, Cupcake Café, Whale Watchers Bar, and the nightclub. The king sized bed was comfortable. The room had a mini fridge stocked with beer, soda and a few chocolate covered wafers. No bottles of water, however there is a water dispenser in the room. I would recommend bringing a water bottle if you are a water drinker. There is an espresso machine in the room, however, my husband prefers coffee. The room was clean, however they do need to clean better in the restroom behind the door. It bothered me enough that I cleaned up the sand and dirt myself. There is a safe to use in the room. Air conditioning worked great. We slept well. There was no alarm clock in the room, so be sure to have your cellphone or something else to use if you need one. Food-Every morning my husband would grab a cup of coffee for himself and a Chai tea latte for me from the Cupcake Café. They also had cupcakes, donuts and sandwiches available there. We ate breakfast at the Don Diego buffet. They had made to order omelets and eggs. I had the chef prepare warm tortillas for my breakfast burritos and filled them with scrabbled eggs, bacon, cheese and hashbrowns. There is fresh fruit, cereal, yogurt and an endless amount of pastries, breads and bagels available. Lunch for us was at the Agave restaurant, pizza place by the pool or we would order food from the beach. Cheese was not available for your nachos at the buffet, but you could order it off the menu. Evening meals were at Agave, Tortuga, and the Italian restaurant. No reservations needed! Overall, the food was good. It wasn’t the best food I’ve ever had, but it was far from the worst. Beach- No getting up at 6am to save pool chairs, we were always able to find plenty of poolside or beach lounge chairs. The sand is coarse and makes walking barefoot difficult if you have tender feet like I do. We sat on the beach daily. We did see an occasional brave person who would try to go swimming even though it is not recommended due to large waves and a strong current. You are able to take a water taxi to a beach close by if you would like to swim. Palapas are nice on the beach for shade. We watched for whales while sitting on the beach and saw them daily. Beach service was hit or miss. If Francisco or Javier were working you had great service! Spa- I didn’t use the spa, but my friend did and said it was the best massage she had ever had. Entertainment- Evening shows are not the strong point at the resort. Shows were lacking and we usually left early. Our friends enjoyed The Stones Nightclub. We enjoyed the daily activities at the pool and beach. Volleyball, bags, bingo and card games to name a few. Don’t forget to pack your white outfit for the White Beach Party on Wednesday nights! Wifi was hit or miss. It worked well enough for me to send messages back home, but I didn’t use it for much more than that. Overall, I loved Cabo due to the low humidity. Bring a jacket or sweater, you may need it in the evenings. I’d stay at Sandos Finisterra again and wouldn’t hesitate to tell my friends to stay there. More>
