Great location!

This resort has an amazing location! We could literally walk across the street and be in the market, the marina, and blocks away from all the night life. The room was very nice, but we had to make multiple calls because they would forget our towels or not clean our room at all. The shower curtain kept falling down, as it was very cheap and not fastened to the wall. Room service was AMAZING! The activities left a lot to be desired, but I think most of the vacationers just wanted to relax by the pool. The views from the Cafe' were spectacular and we really could see whales from the property. They were right off the beach! I agree with other reviews that we did get a hard sell to attend a timeshare presentation when we first arrived, but other than that, we were left alone. I would definitely go again!

Took some friends with us to enjoy a week at your beautiful resort..... we happened to tell the manager Mario at The Tortuga restaurant that the next night was going to be our friends 37th wedding anniversary.... I have to say when we showed up the next night it was something right out of a movie..... a private table was set up in the sand with torches leading the way! It was so romantic and by far... the best meal of our whole week!!! I also can't say enough about the fantastic service and staff!!!! Mario Dominquel, Carlos Villanueva ( the best waiter EVER!) Jesus Gabarain and Pablo Venegas!! They worked sooo hard to give us the best night ever!!! They even had a surprise cake waiting in their room!!! Thank you all for your extra effort!!

Lots to Love

Stayed in February 2017 with my husband. We're a couple in our late 30s/early 40s, no kids, seasoned travelers, been to other all-inclusives but not the kind of folks who make it a habit. The resort, including the rooms, is very clean, spacious, and modern. I don't know if we came during an off period or if we were just lucky but the place was mostly empty and we were able to enjoy all of the food and amenities, including the pools, with zero crowds and zero waiting. The service was friendly and sincere. One team member in particular, Ismael the Bartender, was really great. He is very good what he does and it's clear that he takes great pride in his work. He was friendly and a joy to be around.I can't speak to the room service because we didn't use it but we did order lunch on the beach a few times and it arrived promptly. Eating on the beach in our own private cabana was super fun and luxurious-feeling. The only negative I would say is the food, and I hate to point that out because food is such an important part of the all-inclusive experience. There were a few standout dishes -- for example, the shrimp tacos at a restaurant called Agave and the abundance of fresh fruit at breakfast -- but for the most part the food was low quality and bland. For example, at lunch one day I ordered the sea bass. It was a decent piece of fish but there were literally zero spices. I had to add salt and pepper just to make it palatable. A little lemon or garlic would have gone a long way. The cocktails were nice but watered down, as is typical of all-inclusive resorts. Stick with beer or wine and you will be fine. All in all, I would recommend this place. It's very close to town so if you find yourself disappointed with the food options you can always walk a few blocks and have a great meal elsewhere.

I checked in yesterday, and previous reviews were correct, there's a hard-press time-share pitch at check-in, but I've seen worse. Employees are very friendly so far, but we had to press hard for a second room key so my wife and I could each have our own key. The room we have has a decent view, we're on the main floor, off to a side. Decent and acceptable, but not breathtaking. Room is fine, acceptable. Certainly not luxurious, but fine. The biggest complaint is the bed. It is as hard as granite. I woke up several times last night sore all over. The food and drinks are great. The beer is Tecate light and Dos Equis. Mixed drinks are popular brands and poured very generously. Breakfast today was fantastic, Fernando at Don Diego restaurant was great. Made us feel welcomed and appreciated, and the food was excellent. I'll update more as we go.

The resort is very nice and well kept up. Staff are excellent. I only had one complaint and it seemed to have been resolved by the end of our stay. And, we received a very special dinner to make up for the complaint we had - thank you Frank! I really felt as though we mattered and that you cared about our having a wonderful experience. The Italian restaurant was fabulous. I really can't say enough good things about the staff who helped make our stay awesome - wish we could've stayed longer. The Personal Concierge staff were awesome - thank you Karla for going out of your way when my boyfriend got sick; thank you Thank you Heidi (who is in the members office) and helped with some member information and support when I made stupid mistake falling for a "timeshare" thing. Watch out for those scammers - there are many. Raphael at the tour desk is a great guy and knows a lot of information about the tours, etc.. He can even arrange for a fishing trip, even if you don't have a lot of people or can't afford those high priced fishing trips.
