Go if all you want to do is sit around and eat mediocre food.

Food was mediocre at best. The "reservation only" restaurants share the same kitchen and provide the same food as the buffet. Perhaps it's a bit warmer, but still the same food. Not an impressive hotel experience.

The hotel rooms smelled of mold. hotel rooms smelled of mold. was moved 3 times before the room was acceptable. 6/8 people in our group returned with travelers diarrhea. we did not really have any entertainment. the hotel was boring we entertain ourselves. I called my travel agent and she said just complain with no follow up to see if we were ok. highly disappointed in her response.

Small resort with nice layout geared for families. Although I don't think they should have chugging contests at the main pool with young kids watching. Food was not great. Saw 3 dead roaches in our hallway and they laid there for two days until my husband brought them to the attention of an employee. Our room had an adjoining door to the adjacent room and there was absolutely no privacy. Could hear their whole conversation and could see the lights from their room under the door. Totally unacceptable! We were delayed one day because of a missed flight connection because of mechanical issues and Apple representative not helpful or interested at all, just asked if we were staying an extra day which we could not. We need to be compensated for missed day but I doubt we will.

Let me start by saying that the staff was the best very attentive to every need. The resort itself is very nice, extremely clean it's age shows a little here and there but over all nice. A great place for families with small to teenage children. My problem was if you wanted to eat at one of the only 2 specialty restaurants you were served the same quality of food as the buffet unless you payed for the gourmet plates at 25 to 35 dollars a head. I was then invited to a breakfast by one of the staff and I soon realized it was an invitation to be pitched on buying a timeshare there, I did not partake in the breakfast invite but i talked to others that did and heard that once they said no thanks they were treated rude. Well thanks but no thanks on a return visit it's just not for me

We really enjoyed our stay at the resort. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Food was not the best, but good enough. There was a lot of options which helped in finding something to eat. There were times that the main areas of the hotel were not as clean as they could have been. Small details like the floor under the tables chairs in the banquet area were not swept by the next morning. The front lobby sitting areas had sand on the tables, etc...Nothing horrible, just not a polished look. The bedrooms and pool area were really well maintained and the staff was constantly coming around to clear cups and dishes. No problem getting chairs by the pool when we wanted and it looked like there were always a few chairs available on the beach area. It was a great experience for our first time doing "foreign" travel.

We see this hotel - Royal Solaris- as a bad luck find. The room we were assigned was not what the description was when we made the reservation. Out of our party of 5, three got sick from the food/water. Management did not care when we mentioned it, instead they suggested a squirt with lemon. Swimming pools are not cleaned on a daily basis. Wifi for "Apple Vacations reservations is extra." We visit Mexico every year and this was the worst experience we have had. Location is good. Don't spend your money on the Royal Solaris all-inclusive package.

I do not recommend this hotel. At check -in they will tell you the keycard machine does not work only to hand to off to the time share folk(who are friendly). Had to upgrade to a partial ocean view room as Room 111 had a view of a wall and sewer caps. Front desk management does not seem like he wants to be bothered - poor customer service. The woman at guest relations is very kind and helpful. Drinks are made with low grade alcohol. Two bartenders at the beach area bar and servive is slow due to number of people waiting for drinks. Lobby bar would only serve us shots and be when ordered at 12:20am (closes at 1:00am) Food(buffet) is low grade as well except for Fiesta night. Go eat in the downtown San Jose area. The Italian restaurant is so not Italian. The pizza restaurant - not very good. Went through 17 different people to get bags to play bags and 5 of 8 were useable - one was a sock. No one from activities came around until day 6 to invite us to play. They may have music poolside for an hour if you listen carefully - very low energy. Room size and cleanliness is good. Matresses are hard. Thankfully the weather was perfect!

This hotel is way over rated by Apple Vacation should be a 2 apple. It is not a true all inclusive property, it is half time share which Apple customers are excluded form. You should declare this this on your disclosures. I wound not have gone to this property if I had known. I have used Apple Vacations many times this is way below what I paid for. Please call me we need to talk about this. If I don't hear from you we are finished doing business. John

We always give extra bonus tips so it wasn't a problem for us. However if it was someone's first all inclusive trip I won't recommend this resort. They would be confused with all the tip cups sitting out... I prefer to feel like I have a choice on a bonus tip and here it was expected! We would go back to this resort for the price and recommend to friends who are like us who are prepared to give extra tips. If this was my first all inclusive and I was told my tips are included in price of my trip I'd feel cheated. We stayed at Riu in Costa Rica and they'd take an bonus tip but did not put cups out everyplace for extra tips... The only all inclusive I stayed at that didn't allow extra tipping of any kind. Staff would lose their jobs if they took extra tips and they even had pins on that said please do not tip us... Over all price of this trip was worth the money and we would do it again.

Overall it wasn't bad, but it could have been better. I would not describe this resort as luxurious by a long shot, but it was comfortable. The floors are tile, so when people walk by your room, the sound echos and it sounds like they are in your room. Secondly, the lobby bar, which is kind of the main bar at night, only had one bartender and wait times were ridiculous. However, all the staff is EXTREMELY friendly and nice. I want to give a shout out to Guillermo who waited on us while we were sunbathing on the beach. He felt like family by be the time we left. If you got, lay out on be the beach so you can meet with and chat with Guillermo.

I'm going to start off by saying I will repost this review after being told to take it down by Gustavo from the front desk however, since management choose to lie instead of apologizing here it goes. We were there to celebrate a 40th birthday and was referred to Nubia for booking by the member, upon contact with her the hotel was sold out for our dates so we looked else where and found reservation, it was alot more that the $80 per night we were told but we decided to book anyways, we booked 3 nights through Expedia and 3 nights directly through the hotel. Upon arriving at the hotel the wait was extremely long to check in, then the room wasnt available. When the room became available it was old, outdate and dirty, we asked about to change the room, was given another room but it was no different and the soonest something could be available would be tomorrow. We decided to stay there since the others were coming to stay there as well. We decided to get something to eat, the Food was bland and tasteless, the restaurants weren't much better. The serving staff members were excellent and the tacos were ok. After the others arrivied and checked in, they also had issues with the room and changed rooms, after seeing that their room was a little better, we complained again and then our room got changed again. With the entire party there now we were informed the we would not be able to take part in the festivities with the rest of the party since we book third party. We then informed them of the situation with Nubia but they stated there was nothing they can do so we we're excluded from certain parts of the resort and functions. Management didn't have any customer service skills, we didn't even have any privilege for the 3 nights booked directly with the hotel. This place should be labeled a motel, this does not meet resorts standards in my opinion and I travel a lot for both work and a pleasure. Some of the other guests in our party also had issues with booking with Nubia and had to speak with upper management to complete the process. In summary, Worst resort experience, I would not have given them -5 star if I could. Horrible guest services (Nubia) bad front desk operations. Old, dirty and outdated rooms. Really bad food, even the restaurants.. you never get a straight answer, a lot of running around and no one's knows who's in charge. Some employees are really nice and helpful (the servers & Bell man)

Pictures are deceiving, this hotel is substandard.

To sum up our stay at Royal Solaris Los Cabos in a few words would be: “unpleasant, traumatic and third-rate hotel”. From the low grade quality of food they feed you all the way up too there amateurish, careless General Manager. On one day we trustingly left our kids at there kids club, which clearly indicates parents are encouraged not to stay at the kids center while they do activity’s. On a routine checkup on our kids we shockingly find out that our 5 year old swam into a small hole of a pool amusement figure (rhinoceros) in the two feet pool. After our child getting stuck in the pool amusement figure, screaming for help with the possibility of drowning, and no life guard present was that we noticed how unprepared this hotel is to have kids swimming in the pool under there care. This pool toy should have been fully sealed. All the other parents were shock that there was a hole in the pool figure that kids could swim into and get stuck because it is not visible. We are thankful for the parents and a couple of landscapers that happened to be in the area for assisting in the rescue of our child. Our son could of got really injured due to the unsafe conditions at the “kids club” provided by Royal Solaris. When brought to the general managers attention he compared the incident to a person getting drunk, falling into a pool and getting hurt. Where was the compassion of this hotel leader not accepting his own mistakes that his pool attraction should have been child proof, without the risk of any kid getting hurt while being kids and having fun. We were treated unfairly and received merely anything for our very terrifying traumatic experience. The entertainment makes you feel like your at a retirement center I don’t recommend this hotel for a young couple or a young family looking for fun. Almost all their fixtures are old and look like they are repaired by a non professional handyman. The lounge chairs at the pool and beach seem just as old as the hotel. They were flimsy and very uncomfortable, there pictures are deceiving. We are glad our stay at Royal Solaris Los Cabo’s is over and will never be traveling to this hotel again. If substandard food, entertainment, and hotel service is what you looking for than Royal Solaris Los Cabo’s should be your next destination.

First time to Los Cabos. The resort itself is ok, smaller then the ones i have been to. Very family oriented, so if your looking for less kids in the pool, i would stay at an adults only resort. The food is ok, but the staff and service was great! Especially the waiter Alejo, at their onsite restaurant called Marco Polo. He is attentive, friendly and very efficient with great customer service! Next time you stay here and reserve at Marco Polo, ask for Alejo “Whoop Whoop” to be your server! Over all, clean rooms, nice staff, needs a little update on the food. I would stay here again if I’m traveling with family, not the best choice for a group of friends wanting to party it up!

Nice resort. Staffs are very friendly most especially Josue and Gener. They are always smiling and make sure that everyone has been taken care of. They make a big impact at the resort with their exceptional service. I will recommend this resort and maybe look for these two guys. From Vancouver family....
