This Naiboa Resort offers a laid back atmosphere, and an affordable vacation for those on a more restricted budget. The Naiboa is located by the extrance to the large complex of Rius and is a short 5 minute walk down the Caribbean Stree to the beach. . The lobby flushed in pinks has natural lighting from skylights and comfy furnishings . On one side of the lobby is the main buffet restaurant, Cohiba, which serves 3 meals buffet style and offers a terrace for outside dining.

A pool set in lush gardens has a walkway up to the Bachata Bar which also serves snacks during the day, and by night converts into the Bachata specialty steakhouse.

Riu Naiboa is a 4-story hotel surrounded by a palm grove with a magnificent sandy beach some 200 meters away. Part of the Riu complex, this All-Inclusive resort offers 372 air-conditioned rooms, each with a mini-bar, in-room safe, balcony or patio.
Food and beverages are available until 2:00 am, Caribbean Street and WiFi area in the lobby area (90 consecutive minutes are complimantary per device).
Beach: There is a magnificent sandy beach some 650 feet away, dotted with palm trees and bordering pristine Caribbean waters. Guests have access to lounge chairs and an array of watersports (windsurfing, sailing, canoes, etc).

This is the only resort on the Punta Cana coast, which has absolutely no protection from the sun. All neighbouring resorts have different kinds of shadow places on the beach (umbrellas etc.), RIU resorts have nothing. Sunburns can be very dangerous and could be a cause for different forms of cancer. .. More>

I would recommend this hotel to most people looking to vacation in the Dominican Republic. It's not ultra fancy, but pretty good nonetheless. The hotel front desk staff is awful. Do not say any greeting upon entry. Stood in silence for 20 minutes while they scrambled to find a room to provide, no offer of drink , water, or any concern at all. Once got room requested pillows as none were on bed or in closet. Staff at reception was very very rude. Couldn't use the facilities at the other hotel like we were supsed to be we were denied. Rooms did not have the liquor dispensirs like they were supposed to. We returned from two weeks at the Naiboa on the 11th May. I can safely say we will never ever be going back. The staff speak little to no English, the food is dreadful and I mean dreadful 1 veggie option which was the same every lunch and dinner for all 15 nights we where there. The food was so poor we took our bands off and went for lunch at the Bamboo several times to a welcome change. Even if your a meat eater it's the same food every single meal on repeat every day, even the "theme" nights are the same every week. This resort may be sold as small and peaceful but be warned there is nothing peaceful about the music by the poor is constant all day non stop and at full volume, and it's the same music everyday with a god awful selection ranging from the crazy frog to the vengaboys, there are trollies going up and down the hall ways all night long and people checking in at all hours and with paper thin walls we got very little sleep! You can't access any of the pools, restaurants or bars in any of the other Riu resorts on the complex which is not what we were sold. We couldn't even have a drink in the bamboo in the evening with getting kicked out, and sent back to the Naiboa, to then suffer the terrible entertainment my 18 month old can dance and sing better than the entertainment staff. It also goes on till 12am at full blast and if you have children there is no way on this earth they could sleep through it. To top it off our rep never showed up meaning we where never given info on the excursions or any transport and trying to get a full sentence out of the hotel staff in English was like getting blood from a stone! The rooms are tiny, no bath, disgusting fridge really dirty, no food past 10ish, no room service at all, cleaners that just walk to clean your room and 10 to 10 at night and a mini bar that consisted of one bottle of sofa water, two bottles of Pepsi and two 500ml cans of local beer! All in all if you like a pretty terrible version of Butlins this is for you but less family friendly!
