From Ontario Canada: This was our first trip to Mexico and we enjoyed it thoroughly! It was our honeymoon and right away our room was upgraded and we were given champagne. We waited about 10 minutes to be checked in and given wristbands which was great! Food was fresh and amazing, service was outstanding (Reyes was the BEST bartender, attentive and friendly), rooms were clean, modern and really 'beachy'. There were some renovations still going on but they made sure guests weren't affected by it. Beach front was constantly raked and cleared of seaweed and the swimming was great. And shout-out to our Lifeguard who ran down the beach to a neighboring hotel and swam out to save a man who was getting swept away by the massive waves! All staff members were quick, attentive, friendly and professional. A+ !!!

Pleasantly surprised...

This hotel is amazing, it has a huge front of the magnificent Caribbean beach. The restaurant Almar is spectacular, the view, the dishes, all of great quality and variety, you do not expect to find in a hotel that "is not a luxury resort", menu full of gourmet dishes you can dine lamb, duck, octopus, great quality steak or you can choose the restaurant Hakka to taste very good sushi. Everything in the hotel is renovated, the rooms are brand new and the restaurants look amazing. Our stay was very pleasant, we got a corner room with an amazing view of both the sea and the lagoon and the hotel staff always attentive to our needs all the time, very grateful to everyone! Great hotel option, Amazing view!

This was our first stay at this hotel and it will not be the last, we will recommend the hotel extensively. It is a beautiful hotel with minimalist taste and a beach front that takes your breath away. It is nice, small and cozy, as a boutique hotel but all-inclusive, if you compare it with the great resorts of the Mayan Riviera, where you get lost in the immensity of the properties, here you leave your room directly to the pool or the beach. The food variety is outstanding, great quality! The specialty restaurants are very nice and the food is gourmet style, the service staff is very close and warm, pure mexican style! One point to highlight about the hotel that impressed us very positively, since our arrival we were questioned about some "special requirement", in particular I expressed my allergy to wheat (non expectation about it), my surprise was huge when I received gluten-free muffins in my breakfasts that made nicer my mornings in the Azul restaurant, thanks a lot! Paola, Dulce & Jose.

Went for our third anniversary. We go to Cancun and Quintana Roo every 2 3 months and have stayed at many hotels in the area. So here it is. Great staff. But that's the only good thing. There is no hot water in the rooms. Another couple make a huge fuss, the general manager came down and moved them yet to another room. I complained about the hot water and they said they would come to the room and check it, which they never did. For our anniversary, they sent to the room a bad cake saying "Happy birthday". Food is quite bad, except the Japanese restaurant for dinner. Buffet is exceptionally bad. The Italian restaurant is not good. No amenities. Pool area is quite small. Room is ok and with good views, at least from floor 6. Old beach furniture. Only inside bar has premium alcohol, pool bar serves only brandless alcohol. Outdated music. We payed 250 per night, so it was a complete rip off. Won't come back.
