Mauna Lani Resort is a luxury golf resort with two championship golf courses, Mauna Lani North and South. Both golf courses offer a challenging experience to novice and professional golf enthusiasts alike. Mauna Lani has received Golf Magazine's Gold Medal Award every year since 1988 and was host to the Senior Skins Golf Game for 11 years. The Big Island golf courses are masterpieces of design, each strikingly different, yet equally challenging. Each course is a world apart geographically, and in playing experience.

The Mauna Lani Spa is a uniquely Hawaiian day spa retreat ranked one of the "World's Best Spas" by Travel & Leisure magazine. The spa resort is a reflection of the island of Hawaii's splendid range of geographic wonders. The luxury spa resembles a Hawaiian village with thatched hale for treatments, two natural lava saunas, a meditation pavilion and a watsu pool. Treatments include traditional Hawaiian therapies, baths, body treatments, and massage therapy.

Greening Your Life: Part of the Apple Vacations Greening Your Life initiative, this property is recognized by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Department of Energy (DOE) for significantly advancing the development of green power. The resort also generates the most solar electric power of any luxury resort in the world.

All golf courses are watered using 3 million gallons of brackish water each day, and a large percentage of the golf operation's electricity is provided by solar power.

A sustainable menu for meetings and events includes products harvested within a 100-mile radius.

Please note: The hotel will be closing October 1, 2018 and will be undergoing a $100 million renovation, expecting to re-open in late 2019. We look forward to hosting you again in a newly transformed Mauna Lani Bay Hotel & Bungalows

Sun-filled Hawaii Adventure

The plane ride was so long and we were exhausted at our arrival, but the hotel staff/check-in was easy and made it worth it. The hotel was wonderful and had beautiful views of the ocean. The hotel is open aired with ponds running throughout it. The room was spacious and had an amazing view. We had the opportunity to hear the ocean waves every evening. The breakfast buffet had a variety of options from, pancakes, Belgian waffles to scrambled eggs, tons of bacon (yum!), and fresh fruit. There was even options for steamed rice and miso soup. =) They also had an omelet bar and you have to try the malasadas. Mmm. The resort has a historic park to walk around and you can also borrow resort bikes to ride to the shops or the fitness and Spa center up the road. Me and my husband had a wonderful time and the resort was spectacular. We did learn that the hotel will be closing this year for renovations, which was a surprise to us as the it is a beautiful place to relax and soak in the sun.

We had such a great time renting a house with our friends on this resort. The beach club has the most amazing snorkeling. We felt like we were snorkeling in an aquarium and loved being able to run in the resort, rent snorkel equipment, paddle board and enjoy the beach! We will definitely come back.

We didn’t stay at the resort but we did come up and enjoy the grounds. Locals walked us over to the secret pond and we had a free fish pedicure. We then walked out to beach past the eels. It was so lovely.

Fantastic experience at Mauna Lani Terrace

We just had a wonderful experience after renting for seven nights at Mauna Lani Terrace. Fantastic location with beautiful views over the fish ponds and out to the ocean. Very close to the small and quiet ocean front with cabanas to lay out on. So many sea turtles right there and wonderful snorkeling. The beach club is a very short walk if you want sandy beach for kids and the shops/restaurants are only a short walk too. Great location.

Good, better, best?

This is a beautiful facility on an outstandingly beautiful Island. We stayed there in June 2018 just as management was preparing for a major update and renovation. They promised to make it the finest place to stay on the island. This should be worth a try since even before the renovation it was a great place. I'd like to stay again once they finish the renovation.

Spectacular

This resort along with Mauna Kea Beach take your breath away. Non stop gorgeous vistas. The service is over the top. A great place to unwind and be present in the moment. And did I mention the golf! Both courses offer up amazing views and are exciting to play.
