We had a good time. Drinks and food could have been better but it did the job. Plenty of entertainment and eating options if you make reservations in advance. Otherwise you're stuck with buffet. We'd go back. There definitely was plenty to do.

My wife and I went here in June 2017. It was ...... hard to leave! Food was very good. People were very cool. We would NOT hesitate to go back. A few of things everyone may want to consider when going to a place this size. 1. You are not the only guest (s)! The resort team must field questions and concerns from many different guests. Some concerns may be more of a prority than, let's say, washcloths being missing. Jump in the ocean, have a few drinks, and later on when you run into one of the cleaning people in the hall as them for a washcloth or two. Don't let a freaking washcloth ruin your vacation! 2. You Get Back What You Give! If you approach a resort team member for their help with an entitled attitude then don't be surprised if you are met with a cold shoulder! Yes, you paid for your vacation and are entitled to have a good time. Most of that depends on your own attitude towards others. You may come across an employee who has been fielding complaints all day. Think about how he/she must feel. You can turn around and go sit by the pool and have a drink and whine about the terrible way you were responded to while that employee is fielding the next complaint. Using a little empathy goes a long way. "It looks like you are having a rough day" is a great opening line. Sometimes it does not work but remember, you will be going back to having fun immediately after your interaction. That is not the case for the employee. 3. If You Don't Like Something Don't Ruin It For Others! Walking around the resort telling others, who are thoroughly enjoying their time, how much the place sucks because blah, blah, blah..is inconsiderate. They too are here to have fun and dragging them into your own misery is selfish and petulant. Of course there is no pleasing some people however I have to say that the VAST MAJORITY of the people we met were having an AWESOME time at this resort. It is beautiful, well kept, and we will definitely be going back. PS If you would like more info you should look up the group on FB for this resort. You will realize how much the people that go here appreciate the place and the staff. Chill out...

Just returned and had a great vacation, we stayed on the adults only luxury side. The food at both the buffet and ala carte restaurants were excellent. Lots of choices at buffet. Tavares Miller at Rodizio was a fantastic waiter, we had a great time there! Also Xavier at La Dolce and Cruse and Oshane at the buffets. Rooms were clean and spacious. Bars were good, would like to give a shout out to Brighett Hawthorne, great bartender, very personable! Wish they had waiter service at the beach though. Snorkeling was great right off the beach, we went where the water sports area was and saw all kinds of fish, sea urchins, lobsters, etc., right outside the jetty. If you can, bring your own snorkel gear because they had limited availability. The beaches were very shallow, I would say that was the only downside, but honestly the snorkeling was so great we didn't mind. It's a great place to go with children, always something to do during the day and night, plus they have a small water park for the kids. There are a lot of cats, but they are very friendly and a lot of the guests love taking care of them, myself included, some even brought cat treats for them. They don’t bother you unless you engage them. My daughter named one of them Misty, he/she has a gravely voice, wish I could’ve brought it home with me but I have my own cat here. . Can’t help but worry about them and hope to see Misty next time we go.

A lot of walking! Too segregated.

The property was beautiful, and our room facing the pool was beautiful. The restaurant and buffet are located on the lower level in the middle of the two properties (The Grand Bahia and The Luxury Bahia). We were in the last building, so the walk to the buffet and restaurants were about 1/4 of a mile. The Luxury does not allow any children/family members on their side or in their designated restaurants. This can be difficult and discouraging.

Wish I could get those days back!

From day 1 was trying to move from this hotel to salvage my trip but Expedia failed me just as much as the hotel by not adhering to my request to leave immediately. The only thing I will say is the grounds are nice....THAT IS IT! Got to the hotel at 3pm, went to get a bite and put on my bathing suit. Was told that the pool closes at 5pm and the only thing I could get was jerk chicken. I tried to order room service but everything on the menu was unavailable with the exception of mystery meat burgers. Attempted to get 2 towels for the beach and was given a hard time about the towels. The next day I called expedia to tell them to move me immediately and again they did nothing. I spent hours on hold with them every day which has made my cell phone bill ridiculous. My experience went from bad to worse dealing with the following: Keys demagnetized every day no face clothes (was told there's a shortage) No food after 10:30am, you have to wait until 12?30pm Ran out of food at every breakfast Cats running around in the dining room while you eat. I'm allergic to cats and told the manager who simply said they are island strays. I don't want to dine with them! No water to take a shower at night No drinks after 11pm or anything else Told the carts were being charged at 7pm so we had to walk from 1 hotel to the next And the kicker is, made reservations for dining. Sitting down at the table and opening my menu to a roach crawling out. I spent $140/day going in town for food.
