This was our first visit to the Luxery side of this huge resort, having visited the Grande side when it first opened in 2006. Our room in the 25 section was large and well appointed, with a huge deck facing the ocean. There was a surprising amount of traffic noise from the road behind the hotel. Housekeeping was sometimes challenging- 2 days our room was not cleaned till after 5 pm, there was frequently a shortage of towels (facecloths were virtually non-existent) and we only got hand soap on day 8. The mini- fridge was refilled inconsistently. Staff were generally very friendly and helpful. There is a large variety of activities and entertainment was quite good. There are numerous pools and lounge areas- we liked the cabanas away from the bars, where noisy drinkers tended to congregate all day. We also liked the lobby lounge at the Grande. We ate at all 7 a la carte restaurants, having booked 4 immediately on arrival and the remaining nights online as soon as the later days were available. 5 of the 7 are buffet service for your appetizers and dessert. Our favourites were Dolce Vitae, the Brazilian (great service from Sutanya and Antoinette), Don Carlo and Japanese restaurants. We also enjoyed lunches at the fish restaurant at the beach. Many guests commented how hard it was to get reservations although most of the restaurants appereared to be at least 1/3 empty. The morning yoga, Pilates and aquasize classes were terrific- Nick is an outstanding instructor. We had a great day trip on the catamaran, snorkling and Dunn's River Falls. We would come back. My massage at the spa with Audrey was also great. Security was plentiful and highly visible.

I’ve just returned from a 2-week holiday and I can honestly say it was amazing. The rooms are basically perfect. We stayed on the 7th floor and could see the sea along with the mountaintops of Jamaica. The four-poster bed was massive and extremely comfortable. The shower and bath was great and also extremely spacious (enough for two). The room is cleaned daily; the mini bar was stocked up daily and every few days the peanuts would be replaced. On an evening if you are out, the towel lady will make your bed and leave you fresh towels and chocolates, ready for your return. Only issue we had was the maid. The first 5 days she was great so we gave her $10. However Her cleaning skills then deteriorated, that didn’t stop her continuously pestering us, to see if we wanted our hair bradding or any “extras”. Two days before we was meant to leave she incorrectly informed us it was her day off and asked for another generous tip. The waiters in the restaurant are very friendly although some times they do forget to bring drinks over. As they are often very busy. The buffet offers a wide variety of food. The Brazilin restraint is amazing. Don’t worry about booking, as you can just do it on your phone, when you log onto the Wi-Fi. The beach isn’t the best. As the waves are very strong they have built a wall around it, which has made the sea area its self rather small and it’s very rocky. However being on the luxury side means you can use any of the beaches. If you walk around to the other side of the hotel the beach there is much better. Beach towels are free every day. The hotel is constantly being cleaned and looked after. Overall the staff can’t do enough to help and this is a fantastic hotel. One of the best we’ve stayed in. so thank you for a great holiday.

Sometimes when you visit a new country you never know what to expect. I can say that I was very pleased with everything at Bahia Principe. ALL of the staff were friendly and always had a smile on their face. Everyone who works there says "hello" with their hand over their heart which means, from my heart to yours. You fell secure everywhere on the resort with friendly security guards. Everyone is willing to help you and make sure that you have the best stay. The next time i am in Jamaica I will certainly be staying here. Can't say enough nice things about this place.

Stayed at the Luxury Bahia Principe from January 20-27, 2017. This was our second visit, we stayed here January of last year. The resort is beautiful, clean and very well kept. The staff at this resort is awesome! Everyone we encountered during the week was friendly and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. From the front desk, the butlers, the wait staff, bartenders, the hostesses at the Jasmine, life guards, entertainment staff, security, cleaning staff and gardeners were all so friendly which made us love this resort. I hope they are all appreciated and well compensated by the hotel because they are what makes this hotel such a great place to stay. The food is excellent and lots of variety. We were disappointed that the a-la-carte restaurants were unavailable even though we tried to book at the start of our stay. Most people we spoke to said the same thing. This was disappointing but the food at the Jasmine Restaurant is very good so it did not ruin our stay. We wish they had Jamaican patties by the pool instead of the sushi. The resort has a big beautiful pool but it is a little cold. There were lots of chairs available around the pool all day. The beach is not great but the water is warm and there were lots of chairs available there as well. There is a bar at the pool and one at the beach as well as a guy with a cart serving drinks at the pool. There is also a waitress serving drinks around the pool. We didn't have problems getting drinks during our stay. Loved the Jamaican Smiles! Our room was beautiful and we had no problems. The room was always cleaned and we had lots of fresh towels every day. We saw a few mosquitos in our room but we didn't get any bites. Our only complaint was that the rooms are noisy. Because there is no carpeting in the hallways or rooms we were able to hear all the noise from the hallway. It's impossible to sleep in the morning. But there is nothing they can do to fix this. It didn't ruin our stay. Overall we loved this resort and will definitely go back. This was our 6th time in Jamaica and one of the best. We stayed at several of the Sandals resorts and this resort was better than any of the Sandals and much less expensive. I would recommend to anyone.

We visited this resort a month ago and I also like previous reviews came down with a bad case of hookworm in both my feet , we spent our time on beach near restaurant and there were many cats very cute but obviously using the sand as litter box grand bahipe needs to get this under control. it's been horriable !!!
