Great Birthday week

The staff was extra friendly and helpful, had massage at a great offer, it was peaceful that week, had a great time by the pool and that rum punch, love the night time live reggae band, very lively, top shelf drinks and food at the buffets were great. the house keeping older lady was so sweet, she would make creative designs out of the towels and leave on the bed for me and my husband, swans and floors. our balcony faced the ocean we could see the sunrise and set.We were close to the main building so didn't have to walk to far,i would return, beautiful grounds.

This is the place to be pampered...with food and drinks. Start your day with a heavy buffet breakfast. Feeling guilty about having eaten so much, go for a swim in the beach or the pools. Feeling hungry soon again? Well, there's chicken and pork barbecue a-plenty (Jamaican jerk style), fresh coconut, ice-cream, beer, soda, juice just a few steps away. Not to worry if you're feeling very lazy to walk - friendly staff will approach you while you're sunbathing to ask if you wanted to be served a drink. Imagine that. Then lunch - again buffet-style or a la carte in an Asian restaurant, a sea-food restaurant, a sports bar. Hit the gym or the health spa (for a fee) afterwards or walk the well-maintained grounds. Dinner? Midnight cravings? Man, this place tests your self-control! I had my fill of their excellent fresh fruit and vegetable juices and smoothies: sour sop, mango, sugar beets, cucumber, and so on. Jerk chicken was a treat. So go for the local Jamaican food stuff. Others not that great. Seafood was overdone at the Poseidon for example. I have nothing but good praises for the hotel staff who are friendly, helpful, respectful and patient. Small tips, not overtly asked, are much appreciated by the house cleaner or tram driver or the food servers by the swimming pools. I found currency of choice within the hotel or outside, is USD. You may want to have enough US 1-dollar bills. If you pay in bigger bills, your change will likely be in Jamaican dollars. Overall, it was a worry-free stay at the Grand Palladium with all the food, complete room amenities, facilities, and good service. I enjoyed our 4-day stay for my nephew's wedding.

Nickle and Dime you to death. Very slow service

We were told by travel agent that we could be upgraded to a Ocean View (if available at no cost), however had to paid an extra $US 25.00/night. Rooms are nice but very dated. Check-in was disorganized and very very slow. It was a hit or miss regarding staff. No very accommodating at restaurants regarding extra individuals (eg moving tables together). WE were they for a wedding and the bride had to continue to negotiate to get what they had booked (hotel attempted to change things to suit themselves). Any little extra request added outrageous costs (eg had to pay for 50 guests, even through there were only 32)

Spade45 is the real deal. Has the passion for entertainment. Definitely get with him at the pool and watch him perform live at one of his shows. I didn't expect to be that involved in pool games but he does a great job influencing others too participate.

Not bad

Resort was beautiful and a lot to do. Paula and her coworkers at Miss Lou bar was the best by far. Very friendly and best drinks on resort. Food at the restaurants was not the best. All around I still prefer Holiday Inn in Montego Bay.
