Celebrating with Great Friends in some February Sunshine

Initially concern about the comments on food quality before leaving but this proved to be unwarranted. We had a great holiday, there was lots to do on the hotel site. The accommodation was five star, complete with a drinks fridge in the room replenished daily with water, beer and soft drinks. Although the resort site is large we always managed to get a sunbed, canoe or if inside table football. The variety of restaurants provide a wide range of food styles. We dined at all of them and enjoyed each meal. The buffet meals were a little pile the food high however when returning from a trip after several hours of travelling a quick meal was all that was required. In general the service is quite slow but this common throughout Jamaica. This is our first experience of all inclusive and it was a pleasant surprise. More>

Stayed from 04/09-04/16 . First visit to Jamaica and property was stunning. My husband and I went there for our honeymoon, we emailed the resort prior to arriving letting them know our occasion (hoping for a free upgrade). When checking in they said upgrades were first come first served and there was none available. We were very disappointed, especially after speaking with another couple that was 5 people behind us in line they told us later they were upgraded to a One-bedroom suite without even asking. I was really pissed then. They ended up putting us in building 18 which is the furthest building in the resort. The next day I went to ask at the front desk if we could be moved she was so rude and said to come back later. We went to speak with our WestJet rep to book an excursion and we ended up telling her our situation. She went and spoke to the front desk and came back saying that they will upgrade us to an ocean view in building 13 but not until the following day. We met another couple thru out the week that was there celebrating their 10th anniversary, they were upgraded and was also given chocolate covered strawberries one night. We were so disappointed in the lack of attention we received for being on our honeymoon. But, I guess it was luck of the draw. The night shift on the front desk were awesome, very friendly and always had a smile on their face. They should maybe consider changing the day shift at the desk or teaching them how to smile and be nice. Other than the above issue the place was very well kept. The pool was incredible. The buffet was moderate same as any other resort. The a la cartes were very good, service there was amazing. More>

My 26 year old son and my 29 year old daughter went to Jamaica last November! We had a great time. We loved the resort! It was quite big! Lots of restaurants and things to do. There was construction on the lady Hamilton side but we just went around it! Loved the massive pool! Bartenders we a lot of fun. Most of the staff were friendly! I can't remember the name of the girl that greeted us but she was really good. There was a few issues with housekeeping but nothing to stress about! We would go back there again!!๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š More>

Okay-- So I have stayed at Grand Palladium before (DR) and it was wonderful. However, the Grand Palladium Jamaica Resort & Spa (and Lady Hamilton as well, same property), are terrible! Our room had a flood from the tub upstairs over flowing, they did not come for 6 hours to clean it up and 3 phone calls later. They cleaned our room once, thats with the sign on the door to be cleaned and on the bed. We had to get our own clean towels. The food was terrible, no butler service, no bath robes, the excursions were very unorganized. The huge main pool was nice but no music out there, the night time entertainment (shows, bands, etc) didn't start until 1030-11pm each night. I have stay other places for the same price and it was wayyy better. More>

Great Value, Family Friendly

Stay from 4/21-4/28. Incredible place! I've been incredibly impressed with the property and amenities. I was particularly surprised at the assortment of beautiful beaches. Kids will Iove the great waterpark. It's actually very large. Food was decent. Dinners were very good. One of the best steaks I've ever had. Also one of the employees, Damay, really went overboard to make our 10 yr anniversary special. Front desk with Donae did wonders to meet our special two room needs. Service was acceptable. Some employees weren't real friendly but that just showed how genuine the others were in being outgoing. A few special ones were Radan the hotdog guy (ask him for icecream) and Derman the bartender in the infinity pool hut. The only negative was the awful room service that had our daughter and sitter waiting for three hours to get food, but that's the only thing that kept me from giving 5 stars. The only thing that keeps this place from moving into a higher price bracket is minor inconsequential attention to details. I'd definitely come back again! More>
