Great winter escape

If you want to escape winter go to this all-inclusive resort. We had a great time - 2 adults and 2 teenagers. Beautiful beaches, delicious food and really great staff- especially Andrea at the beach bar, Jamie at the Italian restaurant and Deniel at the buffet restaurant. One tip- you are on "Jamaican time". We saw guests getting frustrated when we are all there to relax. Leave your watch in your room and enjoy! Thanks Grand Palladium!

Beautiful Resort... Awesome Service!

I stayed at this resort during March break. This is my second stay at a Grand Palladium resort, and I have to say, while there is nothing wrong with the resort, I did prefer the Mayan Riveria Grand Paladium a bit better only because it had more foliage. But aside from that it was a great resort. It would have received a 5 out 5 if the Spa representatives or sales people weren't quite so agressive. Sitting around the pool, you would be asked every 5 minutes if you wanted a massage. It was a bit too much. The staff were all friendly, the food was good. We tried just about every a la carte restaurant and didn't require a reservation for any of them except the Japanese restaurant if you wanted the Hibatchi show, which you could get a reservation with a same day request. My son celebrated his birthday at the resort and the Guest Releations desk arranged for a fantastic seat in the Jamaican restaurant, which was done as a special favour given they weren't accepting reservations in that restaurant that evening as there was a wedding... so thank you so much for that! My favorite restaurant was definitely the steak house... with Italian being second. The rooms were quite nice. We stayed on the Lady Hamilton side and had a beautiful view of the ocean from both sides. Rooms are spacious, as are the bathrooms. Fridges were filled on a daily basis. My one complaint is that the resort doesn't cut people off when they get too drunk, which would happen in any bar in North America. When asked, the staff said they were not allowed to cut off anyone because people would be upset. Instead, when they had to close the main pool on my last day at the resort for the remainder of the afternoon because some jerk got so drunk that he puked in the pool and they had to close it to clean it they ended up upsetting a great number of number of people.. I think it's pretty easy... upset a handful of people who get too drunk, or over 250 people who are now unable to use the pool because of one person. Management really needs to re-think that one!

Terrific Family Resort in Jamaica

We stayed in a 1-bedroom suite. It was very clean, comfortable, and spacious. The rest of my family members stayed in junior suites. While some didn't get the bed choice requested or floor requested, all were clean and spacious. The staff were tremendously positive and welcoming throughout the resort. Any requests for extra towels or other items was done quickly and efficiently. The food was very good for an all inclusive resort. Throughout this resort's restaurants the allergy program was supervised by a team of highly competent chefs. (Chef Garry and Chef Jason) They made our holiday so enjoyable for those of us with allergies. It was a great comfort to know everyone receive delicious food free from allergens. I would highly recommend this resort for anyone who faces challenges related to allergies, like seafood or gluten. We were at the resort to celebrate our wedding, and our wedding planner delivered an experience beyond our dreams. She looked after the details related to food, venue, decorations and service throughout the process. She was incredibly thoughtful, patient and professional throughout the entire process. Thank you, Meloney.

Relaxing and beautiful resort

Our first time to Jamaica and it was an all around relaxing and fun trip. Beautiful views and property. We upgraded to an oceanview room in Building 15; 2nd floor and loved the spot. $20/night for oceanview - totally worth it for us. Had a few minor issues with room - curtain, slider door - but maintenance fixed the first day. Bed was comfortable and room was simple but spacious. Lots of chairs around the pool - sun and shade ~ no matter what time you arrived. We liked that there was no set dining time and that you did not have to make reservations ahead of time. Food in restaurants was good to very good; we found the buffets to be average to good ~ but the outdoor dining location was just beautiful, so we didn't care about food as much. We never waited more than half an hour to be seated for dinner dining - always bars right there. The wait was usually less than they quoted. Top shelf bars. Beautiful relaxing beach cove which sheltered you from the wind if you wanted to get away from wind and pool. Infinity bar was huge, comfortable, and ridiculous great views. Service was always above and beyond - our favorite poolside waitress was Tovia - charming, personal, fun, attentive and professional all at the same time.. And the real wonderful surprise was a musician named Moses - played guitar and sang during lunch at the outdoor buffet and also afternoon poolsides. Can't even express how incredible he was - he was the gem of the resort for us! We would definitely return - for us, being moved from building 19 to 15 was a game changer. If you care about proximity or views - the lower the building #, the closer you are to the main area (11 being the lowest). No elevators, so we were happy with 2nd floor. We didn't have kids with us but kids areas were super and children on the property did not detract at all from our experience - actually we enjoyed the families. Bus driver told us that this is one of the largest resorts on the island and it felt very spacious. Enjoy!

First time visit to Jamaica and Grand Palladium - would return for both

This was our first time to Jamaica and the Grand Palladium. We loved both. Was the Grand Palladium perfect? No, but it was pretty darn close. We found the resort itself to be a 10. Spectacular views, and very clean. The resort is huge, so plan to do a lot of walking. We had a little rain while we were there, but walkways were covered, so your exposure to rain was limited. The resort was close to capacity, but you never felt like it was crowded. The staff was very friendly, and always greeted you when they passed by. The pool area was very clean, but you did need to get there early for the prime lounge chairs. The food was very good in every place we ate, except the Mexican restaurant. Food choice was limited, and not very good, so be warned. Entertainment was ok, but not great. After the 2nd night we had seen enough. We were sorry it rained the night of the beach party. We were looking forward to the bonfire on the beach. The room was very spacious. We had a jr. suite on the Lady Hamilton side with partial ocean view. Sunsets on the balcony were great. Room was cleaned every day with fresh towels and the fridge was restocked. The one negative: We traveled with our college aged daughter (that was not the negative 😀). He doors to the toilet and shower were glazes, and did not give much privacy. Showers and bathroom uses had to be coordinated for privacy. Other than that, and a bit of a sunburn, we had a great time. I would definitely go back, and would recommend the Grand Palladium.
