The lobby was understandably busy during check-in, as several airline arrivals brought many guests to the property at once. Even with the crowd, the atmosphere remained patient and orderly. Jevon, our check-in host, was exceptional from the moment we stepped up to the desk. He greeted us with a genuine smile, an enthusiastic attitude, and a clear commitment to making sure we had a great experience. He took the time to explain our Marriott elite privileges and made sure we felt welcomed and valued. Although the check-in process took longer than expected due to the volume of guests, interacting with Jevon made it an absolute pleasure. His professionalism and warmth truly set the tone for our stay. A wonderful experience thanks to him.

Beautiful resort in St Thomas! Great restaurant choices. Veronica in the Shore Bird was amazing assisting us not only with dining but amazing hospitality. The only reason not 5 stars is location is alittle far from town. But amazing!

Bellman Khale’k was the absolute BEST
Bellman Khale’k was the absolute best extremely helpful, very knowledgeable we could not have asked for a better person to give us advise on the what to do where to go then Khale’k. He was very very helpful with our belongings.

First of all, the location and room quality were 5 star. There is no better real estate to own than Marriott has across its properties in St Thomas. The views are astounding with a picturesque locale on the point entering the harbor. I received a multi category upgrade as an ambassador and lifetime titanium elite member to a governors suite, which is a 2 level room with more living space than the average St Thomas residential dwelling. This was worth at least $1000/night more than what I paid for a garden view king room. The issues with the property which made it feel like a Fairfield Inn that had a great location or a cruise ship that happened to stop at a hotel location were the food quality (seemed mass produced) and service (reactive and prompted vs proactive and anticipatory). Anything that happened from daily room cleaning to pool food/beverage service had to be prompted and then followed up. Finally, the internet went out daily, with zero sense of urgency (which fit the overall persona) to remedy. All of this was surfaced back to staff via either the app chat or text response to the form feed from the hotel without action from leadership to cause change. I asked to have a MOD meet me at check in with the hope to establish a rapport up front and no one showed up - with zero explanation. Like any systemic organizational issue, the root cause is a failure of leadership. There does not seem to be a central character who sets the tone at this property and generates followership among the staff. Unfortunately this is a one and done visit for me.

Good breakfast buffet, great views and wonderful servers
We actually stayed at the Buoy Haus next door but had breakfast here due to more options. Cecilia, our server, was the best one we had during our 6 night USVI stay. The Westin has a good breakfast buffet for both Buoy Haus and Westin guests and offers a great view as well. If you are lucky enough to have Cecilia as your server you won’t be disappointed.
