Great return trip!
We were return guests there and brought family with us this time. Like last time, we chose the preferred Private Pool, and once again our expectations were exceeded. Zorro was out butler, and was fantastic. Jency and Nellis took care of every need we had around the preferred adults pool (which we love, and didn't use any other pool other than the water park pool). I like that we had access to breathless if we wanted more of a party environment as well, but this vacation was perfectly relaxing and we will be back! Food is fantastic there, we didn't have a bad meal and no one got sick. We have never been to the same resort twice prior to this trip, but we will be back for a 3rd time!

Stupid Raffle
Dreams Onyx is beautiful. Very comparable to other Dreams/Secrets we've been to. Pool situation was great. Leonardo DiCaprio, the head entertainer guy was great. I loved his smile and that guy WORKS HARD!! Upon check in though, after traveling for many hours and tired, hungry, thirsty, exhausted - the guy who grabs you after you check in started talking about the big raffle the next morning at 8:30 and how we had to be there. Having been through this before, I just yes'd him to death and went about my day, knowing I was NOT going to attend the raffle. I know better that I will win that free week or I will win that $100 and they will ask for my license and credit card - leading to a timeshare sell or something else that I just didn't care about. We went to breakfast at 8:30 and when we checked in at the buffet, they took our room number and sat us. A few minutes later "the guy" from the raffle came to our table asking why we didn't attend the raffle. I said I was not feeling well and that I had a headache. He was PISSED and said we said we would go then sat there staring at us in silence for a few very long minutes. I finally had to ask him to leave by saying something along the lines of "you're not going to break me so if you don't want me mentioning you by name in a review, you need to leave us alone". A few days later, another guy tried getting me to the "raffle" and I had some words with him. They try to turn on the charm but I told him that he was not going to convince me and that it was best to leave me alone to let me enjoy my vacation, especially after one of his colleagues pissed me off a few days earlier. Nice enough resort but they need to take NO for an answer when the person who just wants to enjoy the vacation says NO.

Great service, clean rooms, great hospitality
The service at the Dreams Onyx was great beaches beautiful. We had the best fun at the Lazy River where we can relax and enjoy the day, Our Bartender Anthony at the aquatic bar was amazing! He welcomed us each day and remembered us as well as the drinks we liked! All the bartenders were great but Anthony was hands down the best bartender there! Thank you Anthony for making our vacation amazing!
