The resort was very nice. It was neat and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The water was beautiful but the waves made it difficult to swim. The food was not the greatest. The buffet was better than the restaurants. I would not eat there again. The resort seemed very kid friendly with many activities. Pay the extra money and upgrade to the adult only floor.

We had 10 of us in our group. Rooms were all in separate buildings VERY far apart with only two working elevators. AC was broken the first two nights in my brothers room. My best friend and her three kids had a water leak. They put a coffee pot to catch the water and the maid service went around it. It says online every room is an ocean view however my best friend and her three kids (2 rooms) how to view of the restaurant AC units and the top of a Palapa. Crown Paradise Club advertises there are 7 restaurants to eat at. Only two were offered throughout our stay (Italian and Seafood). If you didn't make reservations by 9 a.m. For the restaurant you cannot eat that night because they were "full" however hardly any families/couples were there. If you don't get your reservations you have to wait until 11pm for the late night "pizza/burger" bar to open. Steakhouse was completely out of service. No lights/people the entire time. Signs near water slides says open at 10 am and close at 8pm however was closed every time we went except one. On that occasion, 2 out of 4 slides we thought we're open as water was coming out. Nope. Instead of walking over to me or my kids and explaining the water slide is closed they just shut the water off as my son was half way down and walked away. At this point I'm furious. I tried talking to the hotel manager .. that was the biggest joke of all. Extremely rude. Told him about the waterslide incident he laughed and said I'm sorry. I asked him about the "teen club" he said oh we don't have one. Ask him about non-motorized water activities same response... We don't have those. Asked about the restaurants he said I'm sorry only two restaurants tonight. Did nothing whatsoever to make the situation better. He promised to move our rooms closer two separate days and never did. Our group had 6 adult, 17, 15, 15, and 12 yr old. After two pools and three bars close at 4 p.m. .... There was nothing offered in the hotel to do as a family/group of all ages. The 17,15,15 and 12 yr old were not allowed in the adult disco and there is no existence of a teen club as they advertise online. We ended up leaving the resort every night so we could do things as a group and enjoy each other. Isle Mujeres, Carlos and Charlie's and Senor frogs was by far the best part of our trip. May I also say we got ourselves there with no help from the hotel. We rode the city bus everywhere and took the ferry over to Isla Mujeres. They never offered any transportation asked or seems concerned of our whereabouts being US citizens. My best friend got sick from the drinks at the lobby bar the first night. You are safe if you get draft beer however mixed drinks tasted like dirty dishwater. Myself, my kids, my family members, my best friend and her kids we're so incredibly disappointed we wasted almost $6,000 combined on this "all-inclusive resort. Everything AWAY from Crown Paradise was great.

Front desk staff not very helpful

Upon check in the front desk stated that Apple had cancelled one of my room reservations. They were able to get my family into another room but not without putting a $1300 hold on my cedit card for the room I already paid for. It took 4 days and a total of 2 hors at the front desk to find out that apple did not in fact cancel my reservation and the hotel was to blame.

We had an awesome vacation. Celebrated our 40th! Stayed in the Adult tower room 2711. Breathtaking view. Room was huge with bathrobes and slippers. Super comfortable King bed with Jacuzzi. Fruit and stocked bar. Coffee maker with coffee. Big bathroom with tile shower. Plenty of hot water and toiletries. Ceiling fan over the bed. Never heard any noise, great TV lots of English channels and fast WiFi. Loved the Adult Only lounge for breakfast. Wonderful food. Also enjoyed evening snack and drinks. Helpful staff to assist with specialty restaurants for dinner each night. Huge delicious meals. Lots of great drinks and superb service with a smile everywhere even in the beach. Never fought for a chair or cabana. Pool bar was great along with the buffet selections. Never went hungry. Always refilling food selections and drinks. Bussed tables constantly and remembered our names as well. Took a dinner cruise on the lagoon which was included. Hotel was clean and well maintained. Friendly staff everywhere. Pools were fantastic also had stores on site. Security on site. Always felt safe. Quick trip from the airport. Fun long walks on the beach too! We highly recommend this vacation package for the excellent complete price and accommodations. We already have! Cannot be beat! We will return!

Fantastic family vacation

This hotel is all about the kids. Special drinks, activities, clubs and events all centered around what keeps them happy. Happy kids equals happy parents in our case. The kids club is amazing and my 8 year old couldn't wait to get there every day and run back for the night time activities as well. The staff all around the hotel were fantastic. Always a smile to give and working very hard. We really enjoyed the food as well. Even the buffet is excellent. After 6 days it does get a little repetitive but when you're eating 3 meals a day in one place that can't really be helped. Our favorites were the Mexican and the Italian places. The beach was amazing and we never had any issues getting chairs at the beach or at the adult pool but the family pools the chairs were all gone by about 930a. This is our second time to the resort during spring break and I was pleasantly surprised that it was so quiet at night. It's a smaller resort than we would typically visit my son's love of the kids club means we can have adults only time too. That's a major benefit.

The front desk didn't have us listed as arriving and didn't have rooms available for us. But, they upgraded us to new rooms, were very courteous. The toilet in our room leaked around the base and it took two days before maintenance fixed it. Every staff member was friendly and helpful - acted as if they were happy to have us as guests. Family-friendly and was surprised how many children were there! Great beach and water. Dinner reservations were very difficult to get although we tried the first morning we were there - available times were very late. very good food though.

Stayed 7 nights at the Crown Paradise Club Cancun on the seventh floor with a great view of the ocean and pool area. The staff were great and very accommodating to your needs. Lots of great activities for our 11 year old son and us. We had an issue with the air conditioning, but it was resolved to our satisfaction. There was a lot of variety of food options, we never went hungry. The shows were very entertaining. Thanks to Jesus the bellboy for your help this morning. We will be back

I am currently on vacation with my family at the Crown Paradise Resort in Cancun. On our arrival to the hotel, while checking in, the bell person was supposed to bring our luggage to our room. Two hours later after checking in, our luggage was still in the lobby. My wife and children had to go to the lobby to retrieve our luggage. An hour later, my luggage was still down in the lobby. I go downstairs and the bell person is next to the luggage doing nothing. I go to retrieve my luggage and then the bell person decides to bring my luggage to my room. My wallet fell out of my pocket in the bathroom and was quickly stolen (my fault for not putting it in a safe.) I tell the front desk person on duty that my wallet was stolen and he’s takes his time contacting hotel security and lost and found. I then went to the concierge station to report it stolen and the lack of urgency in helping me was telling. My situation wasn’t a priority to anyone at the resort. The food options are not on par with other resorts. They have no sugar free options such as syrup for pancakes and desserts. This was very disappointing to say the least. On a positive note, the resort is beautiful and the rooms are clean and spacious. I would come back if improvements are made.

There is no doubt that this hotel is showing its age but considering the high volume of people that flow through the doors they do a pretty good job. As five ladies spending a "girlie" few days together we were very well taken care of despite our intial worries of staying in such a family orientated hotel However access to the "adult only" areas made for a good stay. Jerry in the 8th floor bar was more than attentive and treated us like royalty each morning at breakfast. We even had our own "private" dining space! Kevan in the adult pool bar does an amazing job. He never stops working or smiling, In the evening we returned to the bar on the 8th floor for pre-dinner drinks. Carlos was equally as attentive and great fun too! My room was a little tired but it had all I needed to make my stay comfortable It was certainly spotless and well stocked wth fresh towels etc. I loved the decoration on the bed each day and the towel sculptures. My special thanks to Maybri for this. We mostly had dinner in the themed restaurants Each was clean and the service good. The food was a little bland and not to wide a choice but, again, they were catering for large numbers of diners. We ate lunches in the main restaurant which, considering the numbers passing through, was always full of choice and served dishes of a decent quality, Once again, service was always good. We had nothing to complain about apart from our surprise at how much food was wasted by people who insisted on filling their plates as if there was a siege about to start! All in all we had a good time and for the money.budget it certainly exceeded our expectations, Of course there are better, more modern and more adult orientated hotels in Cancun but if you;re looking for a good place to stay with a family on a smaller budget I would recommend this hotel

Mixed bag. I'm not fond of all inclusives so this taints my review somewhat. My GF was in a nearby time share with her sister so I selected Crown merely to be close to her resort. Check in was easy and pleasant. Tired from travel, went to bed at 9P. Kids stomping on floor in room above woke me at 9:30. Woke up again at 10 with kids banging hand railing outside on corridor. 10:30 up again with 5 yr. old girl carrying on and her parents even louder trying to console her. Even with ear plugs and pillow over my head it was like they were IN MY ROOM. There was a common (party) door between rooms. I could see light all the way around it. No insulation at all. AVOID this type of room. At 3 am, I was up to use bathroom. Almost fell. Water all over floor in hall from ac unit leak. Went down at 9 am to change room I was told policy was to come back at 11 to check out, then back at 3 to check in. WHAT??? When I came back at 11 and played video/audio of the noise in next room, they had me in quiet room at end of building in 30 minutes. This room was nicer and quiet. If you don't like lots of noisy kids running around, this is not the place for you. Probably 90% families. Main pool very nice but again, lots of kids. That in itself is not bad but there was a DJ that played loud music all day and MC's kids pool games. Too much noise for me. There was a smaller adjacent pool that was somewhat quieter. There is another small pool between the hotel and street which is accessed from 2nd floor. Mostly adult and quiet. Lots for young kids to do, mini golf, indoor pool, theatre, day care, water park. I did not make any dinner reservations and ate solely at the LaPalapa buffet restaurant. Decent food. No complaints. But not gourmet. Lots of variety. They did have smoothie and omelet stations which was nice. All staff were extremely courtesy and hard working. Some of the best I have experienced. Bring lots of $1 bills for tips. They deserve it. If you need change, the bar tenders and porters have lots of one dollar bills. Resort is dated as many are in Cancun but grounds are nice and well maintained. If you are staying in building 2, crown tower, closest to airport, it's a little convoluted and confusing to get to the main reception area. I was moved to building 1, Paradise tower which I preferred. Beach is very nice with plenty of lounge chairs. There is a buffet asian restaurant (Fujiyama) between the pool and beach which is convenient. Also a burger joint in same area. Overall, a decent resort and reasonably priced which explains the high ratio of families with children. Location not bad, close to airport. Nothing nearby to walk to. City bus was convenient to get further North to shopping and town center. Only $1!!! PS: If you are arriving on Saturday or Sunday, customs can be 2 hours+. I would also recommend that you have hotel book your travel from airport. Inexpensive. They use BD, Best Day travel. On time and only way to go. Be warned to ignore sales people as you exit the airport. They will lie to you and do anything to get you into their taxis. BD vans were located under a canopy after you exit. Read the instructions provided by the hotel. BD has colorful uniforms and hard to miss. They also will book excursions for you and have desks at resort.
