We had 10 of us in our group. Rooms were all in separate buildings VERY far apart with only two working elevators. AC was broken the first two nights in my brothers room. My best friend and her three kids had a water leak. They put a coffee pot to catch the water and the maid service went around it. It says online every room is an ocean view however my best friend and her three kids (2 rooms) how to view of the restaurant AC units and the top of a Palapa. Crown Paradise Club advertises there are 7 restaurants to eat at. Only two were offered throughout our stay (Italian and Seafood). If you didn't make reservations by 9 a.m. For the restaurant you cannot eat that night because they were "full" however hardly any families/couples were there. If you don't get your reservations you have to wait until 11pm for the late night "pizza/burger" bar to open. Steakhouse was completely out of service. No lights/people the entire time. Signs near water slides says open at 10 am and close at 8pm however was closed every time we went except one. On that occasion, 2 out of 4 slides we thought we're open as water was coming out. Nope. Instead of walking over to me or my kids and explaining the water slide is closed they just shut the water off as my son was half way down and walked away. At this point I'm furious. I tried talking to the hotel manager .. that was the biggest joke of all. Extremely rude. Told him about the waterslide incident he laughed and said I'm sorry. I asked him about the "teen club" he said oh we don't have one. Ask him about non-motorized water activities same response... We don't have those. Asked about the restaurants he said I'm sorry only two restaurants tonight. Did nothing whatsoever to make the situation better. He promised to move our rooms closer two separate days and never did. Our group had 6 adult, 17, 15, 15, and 12 yr old. After two pools and three bars close at 4 p.m. .... There was nothing offered in the hotel to do as a family/group of all ages. The 17,15,15 and 12 yr old were not allowed in the adult disco and there is no existence of a teen club as they advertise online. We ended up leaving the resort every night so we could do things as a group and enjoy each other. Isle Mujeres, Carlos and Charlie's and Senor frogs was by far the best part of our trip. May I also say we got ourselves there with no help from the hotel. We rode the city bus everywhere and took the ferry over to Isla Mujeres. They never offered any transportation asked or seems concerned of our whereabouts being US citizens. My best friend got sick from the drinks at the lobby bar the first night. You are safe if you get draft beer however mixed drinks tasted like dirty dishwater. Myself, my kids, my family members, my best friend and her kids we're so incredibly disappointed we wasted almost $6,000 combined on this "all-inclusive resort. Everything AWAY from Crown Paradise was great.

Front desk staff not very helpful

Upon check in the front desk stated that Apple had cancelled one of my room reservations. They were able to get my family into another room but not without putting a $1300 hold on my cedit card for the room I already paid for. It took 4 days and a total of 2 hors at the front desk to find out that apple did not in fact cancel my reservation and the hotel was to blame.

We had an awesome vacation. Celebrated our 40th! Stayed in the Adult tower room 2711. Breathtaking view. Room was huge with bathrobes and slippers. Super comfortable King bed with Jacuzzi. Fruit and stocked bar. Coffee maker with coffee. Big bathroom with tile shower. Plenty of hot water and toiletries. Ceiling fan over the bed. Never heard any noise, great TV lots of English channels and fast WiFi. Loved the Adult Only lounge for breakfast. Wonderful food. Also enjoyed evening snack and drinks. Helpful staff to assist with specialty restaurants for dinner each night. Huge delicious meals. Lots of great drinks and superb service with a smile everywhere even in the beach. Never fought for a chair or cabana. Pool bar was great along with the buffet selections. Never went hungry. Always refilling food selections and drinks. Bussed tables constantly and remembered our names as well. Took a dinner cruise on the lagoon which was included. Hotel was clean and well maintained. Friendly staff everywhere. Pools were fantastic also had stores on site. Security on site. Always felt safe. Quick trip from the airport. Fun long walks on the beach too! We highly recommend this vacation package for the excellent complete price and accommodations. We already have! Cannot be beat! We will return!

Fantastic family vacation

This hotel is all about the kids. Special drinks, activities, clubs and events all centered around what keeps them happy. Happy kids equals happy parents in our case. The kids club is amazing and my 8 year old couldn't wait to get there every day and run back for the night time activities as well. The staff all around the hotel were fantastic. Always a smile to give and working very hard. We really enjoyed the food as well. Even the buffet is excellent. After 6 days it does get a little repetitive but when you're eating 3 meals a day in one place that can't really be helped. Our favorites were the Mexican and the Italian places. The beach was amazing and we never had any issues getting chairs at the beach or at the adult pool but the family pools the chairs were all gone by about 930a. This is our second time to the resort during spring break and I was pleasantly surprised that it was so quiet at night. It's a smaller resort than we would typically visit my son's love of the kids club means we can have adults only time too. That's a major benefit.

The front desk didn't have us listed as arriving and didn't have rooms available for us. But, they upgraded us to new rooms, were very courteous. The toilet in our room leaked around the base and it took two days before maintenance fixed it. Every staff member was friendly and helpful - acted as if they were happy to have us as guests. Family-friendly and was surprised how many children were there! Great beach and water. Dinner reservations were very difficult to get although we tried the first morning we were there - available times were very late. very good food though.

We selected this hotel because it had tennis courts and pool tables. However, the equipment that the hotel had for its guests was very poor. Three of the cue sticks did not have tips on them. The tennis balls provided were old and had excessive wear. And the hotel employee who agreed to play with me did not show up at the courts.

Time share hell!!!

Oct 28 2017
We arrived at 3pm after 7 hours of travel and just want to get into our room. It was not ready. We were approached by a gentleman from the hotel who wanted to talk to us. We thought it was an Apple rep. Turned out we wanted to talk to us about time shares. We wanted nothing to do with this. When we went back to check on our room status and it wasn’t ready we tried to go get a drink and food but we were greeted again by the time share guy. He wouldn’t let us go until we finally said stop. It was nearly an hour before our room was ready. Our checkin slip said we were to be in room 2616 but ended up being in room 2207. That room was a nightmare. Closest to the elevator. Closet was musty. Room next door was full of loud screaming children. Seal of the shower/tub leaked making the marble floor slippery. The adult pool bar not only was the temperature of human body fluids but closed at 5pm. So after getting settled in we had 15 min of adult pool time. So we had to “relax” after our long travel by the kids pool. Where we found out that bar was closed. Needless to say not a very welcoming start to our vacation. Dinner reservations policy was confusing. We weren’t informed that reservations needed to be made 24 hrs in advance and that one of the restaurants was closed. If it wasn’t for the bar/serving staff this trip would have been a huge waste of time and money.

Back for our 7th visit to Crown Paradise!
PETLAND M,
Thu Jan 10 10:50:36 EST 2019
Our family of 4 (2 boys ages 7 & 10) were back from Dec 30 to Jan 6 for our 7th visit to the Crown! We always enjoy ourselves because we are very familiar with the resort (so you don't have to spend time figuring out how things work), it's small enough that we can run to the room for a forgotten item and get back to the pool in 15 minutes, and we take advantage of golf privileges at the Iberostar Golf Course across the street. My boys enjoy the structured activities at the Kids Club - shout out to Alphonso, Angy, Andrea, and Luis!! I gave my kids "in & out" permission, so they could attend the club and play in the water park, or leave and grab a snack at the buffet, or head over to the new waterslides! Total of 4 waterslides on the north side of the property - 2 are brand new! My boys really enjoyed them - my youngest was not big enough for the new slides, but he liked the smaller slides as they were not busy because bigger kids headed up the 2 new slides. Kudos to the Crown for revamping that area - weird "beach volleyball" area was moved to ....wait for it.... the BEACH - so much better! Now room for more loungers by the waterslides. Small soccer field is still there as well, as is the climbing wall & the small kids' zipline (open mornings only, I think). Only criticism - You need to sign out the soccer balls from the Water Sports kiosk which is on the other side of the property, near the Kids Club. Would be nice to have a ball or 2 available by the soccer area. The first friendly faces upon arrival are Isaak, Jesus, and Emilio - thank you SO MUCH for all your assistance! Isaak made sure to take care of all our bags & golf clubs on check out, as we still had 4 hours at the resort after 12:00 noon checkout time. THANK YOU!!! Can't say enough about Concierge Jami - she booked all of our Iberostar golf tee times & found us a great resort babysitter in Rocio!! You cannot leave children unattended at the resort if you are off the premises, so for us to golf, we need a resort sitter with our kids. Rocio was TERRIFIC! I was even able to keep in touch with her through What's App on our cellphones. The boys really enjoyed her company, and she was even kind enough to bring them each a small gift of candy & toys for New Years Day. So thanks to both ladies for making it possible to play 4 rounds of golf in 7 days!! Jhony was our room attendant, and each day, everything was clean and re-stocked - thank you so much for sweeping up all the sand my boys tracked in each day!! We enjoyed all our meals at both the restaurants & the buffet - had no problems getting booked for meals, although we usually eat later (between 7pm & 8pm). It seemed more difficult to get earlier times (reservations begin at 8:00am by calling 7808 from your room phone). But we took full advantage of the hamburger/fries snack shack in the late afternoon (best fries EVER!), and had no issues waiting until 7:30 to dine at the restaurants. It was our first time here for New Years! What a great party! Live music, dancing, party favours, food and drink all available in the Convention Room - tons of fun! I know I'm forgetting someone but we had a wonderful time, and hope to be back again next year! Nos vemos el ano que viene, Crown Paradise!!

We stayed in this property for 5 nights. Very nicely maintained resort common areas, beaches, pools. Food was ok. Options for vegetarians are limited. They have good activities and shows throughout the day and evening to entertain everyone in the group. They have five specialty restaurants, but we did not food so good. Our room had a nice view of the ocean. We really enjoyed it. Beaches are nicely maintained. A bar is available right at the beach to enjoy a drink when you want. Rooms need repair. Shower in my room essentially hanging. I need to hold it in a hand to take shower. Front desk staff for check in and check out could have been better. Long lines, don't provide good information. We waited in line for more than 10 minutes. They did not even tell about towel cards. Made us stand in the lines to get those cards along with other people waiting for check-in. Bell boys and service people are good. Will provide you with good information. Overall we had a nice vacation in this place.

Amazing return visit

This was our second trip to Crown Paradise. Went in early Jan 2018 and returned again in early Jan 2019. We were highly impressed the first time so we thought we would try it again. The resort did not disappoint. In fact we had a better experience the second time. We were in a group of nine people, 6 adults, 3 kids. Everyone felt they had an amazing time. The kids didn't want to leave. The group is already considering returning for a third time. As other reviews have stated the staff at this resort are amazing. We had no bad experiences with any of the staff but these are a few that stood out to us. Araceli waited on us in the lobby bar and we couldn't have asked for any better service. She was very friendly and looked after our needs. Rodger and Daniel in the lobby were so friendly and always smiling. Carlos worked in the club lounge and did an amazing job as well and took the time to talk to us. The resort is very clean and they do an excellent job of cleaning your room every day. Small fridges in your room are stocked with beer, water and pop. We ate at all the restaurants and never had a bad meal. Its nice having the French restaurant where you have to get dressed up for a more classy experience. Rode the mechanical bull at Wayne's Boots which was a fun experience. The Mexican restaurant has a mariachi band the walks around the restaurant and plays for each table. The water slides, climbing wall and zip line area has been recently upgraded. Looks very nice and the kids had a blast. They have added more covered day beds to the adult pool area. Its a nice area to go and relax. No real complaints. It is not a 5 star resort if that is what you are looking for. But if you are looking for a 4 star resort that is kid friendly I highly recommend it. Very clean and amazing staff that your family will want to come back and see again.

This trip was for my birthday and it was my first big trip with a friend. We felt the love as soon as we stepped out of our transportation that brought us to the hotel. We were greeted with drinks (and smiles) and Jesus who took our luggage. Russel gave us a map and brochures about activities and what is available in the resort. We checked in and went to our room and 2 minutes later Jesus was there with our luggage. Throughout the vacation, we did activities and ate at every restaurant the resort offered including the buffet. The restaurants were definitely better than the buffet but the buffet food and service was still good. The thing that I am still taken back by is how genuinely nice every single employee there is. They really hustle and work hard but they don't complain, they're just happy to help and I really admire every person that we encountered during our stay. The bartenders always knew our drinks, there were so many bartenders that we talked too and so many names I only remember a handful. Tony, Gabriel and Melchor are just some of the bartenders that were beyond anyones expectations. Even the bartender and waitress in the lounge with the telephone booth were truly amazing. The entertainers were really amazing and sweet. One of the guys, Charly, you can tell he loves his job and he works so hard everyday to make all ages smile. He hosted many pool events and we went to karaoke night and he made sure everyone was having a great time. You can tell he's a hard worker and a great person. The lifeguard on the beach Roberto, is so funny and so charismatic he really is a sweet person. Housekeeping was amazing too, I didn't catch any of there names but they were so polite and accommodated any needs we had. Our room wasn't the best, but that didn't change my opinion of my expierence and of the hotel in any way. I'll never forget this vacation thanks to all the people we met. I'm already looking forward to coming back this summer hopefully. Thank you to everyone at the Crown Paradise Resort for an amazing trip
