Most hotel staff was great but I found the men to be excellent and very friendly and the women ranged from polite but shy to somewhat rude. One of the bartenders on our last night called a girl we were with a Bumbaclot. I'm told that is not a very nice word. The girl was drunk but she had to ask for her drink 3 times before she got it. Otherwise, great food, nice people. I preferred the activities at iberostar in riviera maya. I would return there before Jamaica.

2nd time to couples negril. Outstanding in every way. Transfers were good. It would be nice if the drivers would give you a little information about the towns you go through, a little about their culture, anything to make the drive more interesting. It would be nice if the drivers would give you a little information about the towns you go through, a little about their culture, anything to make the drive more interesting. When we arrived at the airport for our return trip to Milwaukee the only lines that existed were at the Air Tran terminals. Apparently their computers went down. It seemed like it took forever for them to transition to a manual process of checking in passengers. We stood in line for two hours. We barely had time to get a sandwich let alone do a little shopping in the airport. Since they had to do a manual check in, there was an issue with one missing voucher and it delayed the departure from Jamaica by almost an hour. The delay in the flight home and waiting in a long line for our departure was the only negative experience of the entire trip.

We were welcomed with a glass of wine and damp cloth to wipe off. Staff was very friendly. Resort was kept spotless. The pool area, decks and even the beach and surrounding areas were swept clean every morning. Food was excellent. Resort is dated, but well kept. Only negative was dampness and possible mold in our room, made for allergic, breathing problems at night. Lowering the temperature in the room allowed the a/c to run more and dehumidify the room more, which made a big difference. Over all very impressed.

From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, everything was wonderful. We were skeptical because we had visited this resort 5 years ago and weren't sure about going to the same place twice. We loved it more the second time around and would easily go back. the size of the resort was smaller and it makes it such a more personal stay. We had missed our shuttle because our luggage did not come off the plane right away so we ended up taking a small plane from the airport to Negril. The Apple staff was great and very helpful. I would highly recommend using Apple as well as this resort to anyone. We have used apple vacations for at least 10 vacations in the past and have never been let down yet!

I loved the experience at Couples Negril. The beach was amazing, the pools beautiful, and the restaurants good. Overall, I was delighted with the hotel and my experience in Negril.

What an absolutly incredible time we had at Couples Negril! Everything there is so gorgeous. ALL of the staff are so nice. The watersports team made the trip with all the cool activities that we got to do. Only ALMOST bad thing I could say about any of it, as far as the entertainment, we would .. More>

There are no words to describe the most wonderful experience we had ! The second you get off that bus(prepare for the long bus ride to the resort)and step foot on the resort it just unreal ! I have never been treated and enjoyed the staff at a resort like we did at couples they are absolutely wonderful ! The atmosphere was just right the whole time and you could help but be more than happy and have a smile on your face the whole time ! The activities that are offered are awesome they guides and instructors are there for you ? we have paid a lot of money to get the activities much less the quality at other locations and at couples they are included ! We are planning our anniversary trip right now and there is no way we could go anywhere else !

Just returned from our 4th visit to CN and it is still the best!! Weather was a little wetter than usual,and we didnt get all the beach time we so much enjoy but all in all another perfect trip. No worries CN loyalists,you wont even notice the difference with the new GM.All employees very friendly and happy and absolutely no drop off in service.I think the food actually was better since last years visit. Lychee was the best meal I ever had in our 4 visits here. We are already planning next years visit!!

We travelled to couples this April-May. The flight down on Westjet was good and our flight attendants were actually very entertaining. We arrived on time and went to the couples lounge where we had a chance to freshen up and have a beer while we waited for the shuttle. The shuttle arrived about 30 mins later. We were the only passengers going to this Couples, and the ride was pleasant and our driver answered questions and gave us info along the way. The drive was about 90 minutes. We arrived and were directed to come in and sit, were handed towels to wash our faces and hands and then were offered a glass of champagne. We were checked in and then were told what we needed to know about the resort as we scanned over the property from the open air lobby. We went to our room, and the only bad thing about it was that it was on the third floor. Lots of stair climbing. It was clean and tidy, spacious, cool, really nothing wrong with the room. The bar fridge was stocked with 2 beers, soft drinks and club soda. You could request other things daily, but really you don't need them because you can get everything you need at the bar. We ordered a bottle of wine and some vodka, thinking we would get small bottles, but we got a full bottle of nice wine (house) and a 40oz of vodka!! Too much! The only thing we have to complain about on this trip was the weather. It rained every day! And not your typical rainforest shower, it rained. Mostly we had sun in the morning and the clouds rolled in around 1:30. Some days it rained for 30-60 mins and some days it was 1-3 hours on and off. There were activities to pass the time, and lots of people jumped in the hot tubs (not very hot) and enjoyed themselves. The food was extremely good in all restaurants (we did not eat at the Asian) Very good service, especially from Denver and Jason at the Grill and Sherika and Brad in the 'reservations only' restaurant. Angelica was very friendly and ran good couples games. Almost everyone was extremely friendly and gracious and we appreciated that very much. I cannot say enough good things about this resort. It was not too large, clean, food was fantastic, drinks were good, service was almost perfect (the Grill at lunch time was sometimes slow, but when it was raining, you didn't have too many other things to do). You do not get hassled on the beach. They have a mini market on the beach every day, and the merchants are very polite and not pushy. If you leave the resort and walk down the beach there are plenty of "merchants" selling t-shirts and towels, and other souveniers, if you are interested. You can always find something to 'smoke' if you really want it( cigarettes, cigars and other). (There were tons of smokers there, so if you are a non-smoker and appreciate our smoking laws in Canada, you will miss them while there.) (There is no smoking in the restaurants while meals/ dinner is being served, but at the Grill on the beach it is allowed during lunch.) The excursions we went on were fun-went to Rick's Cafe and on an evening Catamaran cruise-fun! Went shopping at Times Square where there are about 10 stores that sell all the same stuff-souveniers and then there are about 3-4 jewellry stores too. Everyone there was very pleasant and tried to please and make the sale. We heard that Deep Sea fishing is really really fun. Will do that next time. My husband weht scuba diving and really enjoyed it. The drive back to the airport on our last day was quicker-just an hours, but it was mid morning, so less traffic. The airport was clean and security took about 20 minutes, but it didn't seem long. Waiting around was boring, but there are shops if you need to pick anything up and eating at Cool Runnings was really good. Flight home was good, but the Westjet attendants weren't as fun. They did a good job. Entertainment in the evening was ok. We saw the Steel drum band-they were fantastic. The house band was really enjoyable. We went to the piano bar, but never heard the piano player, we did however play fun games there. I agree with Aniron 1818, the sand bugs were biting (the front desk said they were mosquitos), I would call them 'no see ums', because we never saw them, but they were itchy and mostly just below the knee. Beach chairs with cushy mats on them were very comfortable. Lots of shade if you wanted it, lots of sun if you wanted it. The Spa was very nice, massage in the TREE HOUSE was great, very relaxing. We were spending a lot of time wondering when we could come back. It was a great vacation!

Just returned from Couples Negril last night. After doing much research and hearing good things about Jamaica recently, we decided on Couples Negril for our vacation. The resort is beautiful. But our vacation was ruined after we were robbed...while sleeping!!! Possibly got in through the sliding balcony doors...and we were on the 2nd floor!!! My IPad, my husband's ITouch, and cash were taken. Who would ever think that you need to lock things up while in the room!!! I was a sick mess:( We felt violated. I guess one thing we can say is that we are lucky to be alive because we are not sure what may have happened if either of us woke up. We were moved to a different room, but our sense of security was shaken. From then on, not only would we lock the balcony slider, but my husband would put a belt around it and at night when we went to bed we would move the chair in the room in front of the door, in addition to locking and bolting it. As soon as we realized we were robbed, we contacted security immediately. At first they made us feel as if we "misplaced" our items.....I Wish!!!! Jamaica police were also contacted and we were able to speak with them 2 days after it occurred (supposedly they were unable to meet with us prior to that). An ongoing "investigation" is taking place. I do want to thank the Operations Manager, Wayne Williams, and the Food and Beverage Manager, Konrad, for speaking to us and seeming genuinely concerned and stating that what happened was a "serious matter" and Couples was "not taking it lightly." To all you "repeaters" and others looking into staying here, please don't let our story leave a bitter taste. Go and enjoy, but people do need to be warned and cautious!!!! Lock things up..even when you are sleeping. Or do not bring any valuables with you!!! AND DO NOT LEAVE YOUR PATIO SLIDER UNLOCKED!!! I have been to Mexico many times, Bahamas and Aruba and never had an issue like this. Sad to say, I do not think we will ever RETURN TO JAMAICA AGAIN!

We traveled with 2 other couples and this was the first time we had been to an all inclusive. Upon arrival into Montego Bay airport we breezed through customs and was in the Couples lounge before we new it. We had about enough time to get our cold red stripe beers and they were loading our luggage into the van. The driver was very courteous and the ride was both scenic and comfortable. We made one stop for bathroom and more refreshments and arrived at the hotel with in 90 minutes. The cool towel and champagne upon arrival was a nice touch and with in 45 minutes we were in our rooms making plans for the afternoon. We were very impressed with the looks and cleanliness of the facility and the rooms had a beach cottage look to them which we really liked. We were in 4204 which had a nice view of the garden ponds and I could see the beach by the water sports hut. We could here road noise from the bathroom but the room itself was very quiet. The only restaurant that we did not eat in was Otehiete so I can not speak for that one but the grill and the other restaurants were great. Everyone found something on the menus that they liked and the breakfast buffet was awesome. I would highly recommend eating at the Lychee as it was extremely good. The evening entertainment from the house band and entertainers to the steel drum band was very good also. Nellie and the rest of the entertainment staff had alot of fun games and activities as well as dancing in the piano bar. They really seemed like they wanted the guests to have a good time. We had some trouble with the weather but got to go on the sunset catamaran on Tuesday evening. The water was too rough at pirates cove so they took us to Rick's. A couple of people got sick so we didn't get to spend much time playing in the water. It was well worth it though. We finally got to go on the glass bottom boat and snorkling on our last full day. Albert and Milton were the crew for both and made things very interesting. We saw alot of fish and 4 different ray's. The water was clear as good be. The pool and the swim up bar were both very cool and the bartenders were very courteous. The drinks were flowing everyday and I can't imagine what our liquor bill would have been had it not been included. Over all this was an amazing week and my only complaint is it ended way too soon! We are already thinking about when we are going back.
