We were sooo disappointed that the pool wasn't open. WE weren't told until day before that it wasn't open. We probably would have cancelled or pushed back trip. Its important that we had a pool on site that we could go because we had one in our party that has trouble walking. We liked atlantis but also wasn't told so many restaurants weren't open because it was off season. The pool was suppose to be open when we came.

Graduation Gift
Aug 02 2017
I promised my girls a trip for their high school graduation. After all the research I decided on the Bahamas. Comfort suites was at the top of the list and had great reviews and access to Atlantis resort. We had a wonderful time. Everyone was so nice and accommodating.

Where is the comfort at Comfort Suites
Sep 02 2016
Upon arrival I was greeted by a courteous staff member, Angelo who explained the access to Atlantis and the hotel breakfast schedule. As we proceeded to our room a strong smell of Febreeze and Lysol assaulted my nose. I was overtaken by the smell inside of my room as well; yet, I did not complain. The first night I noticed that the tub nor sink drained properly and by the third night I had to call maintenance. There was a three hour wait and I had to delay bathing. This would have been okay had the maintenance guy actually fixed the drainage issue. Nonetheless, while I waited I had to endure constant running overhead at 10:00pm at night! So, I tried to watch television only to be told by my niece that the television was preventing her from sleeping. I really believed this was a one bedroom suite with a separate living room area. However, I discovered that it was not a suite but an efficiency. What a disappointment especially since I have a timeshare and could have made other arrangements. This is an experience I will never forget for all the wrong reasons. I hope that the general manager will consider removing the carpet from the hallways and redesigning a few room to actually be a suite! Yes, I would pay more to stay in a hotel that is supposed to provide comfort from a long day of activities!

Bahamas Getaway

I did have some reservations as to whether we had chosen the right hotel for our trip. But from arriving at the airport, with transportation to the hotel, and early check-in, everything was beyond expectations for us. Great friendly service, above and beyond. Being vegans in the Bahamas is a tough call, but the hotel/restaurant staff made it a pleasure. We never used the pool here, but the facilities are really good.

The location was great. We were comfortable at this hotel. The dressing area could be larger that would be my only complaint.

Comfort Suites - Paradise Island - wonderful experience
Aug 01 2014
We had a great time and loved the hotel. Had read reviews and didn't have any issues that folks had reported. We found all of the staff very professional, helpful and nice. Breakfast at times were busy but we adjusted and went earlier. Water pressure was fine. Very well run facility and well kept. We absolutely loved it and would go back. I would say our only complaint was that the pool water was too warm to our liking but there were certainly plenty of pools to choose from at the Atlantis. Have already recommended it to friends and family.

2nd time here

Both stays were good. Minimum complaints, like being harassed by the time share/excursion lady and our door being broken, but functional. The pool was nice, and the bar there was good for drinks. Breakfast was normal continental, nothing special. Would not eat dinner here with all the other options at Atlantis, which is a 3 minute walk.

Best place to stay if you want to go to Atlantis

Enough people have written about how great it is to stay in here instead of Atlantis, and I won't disagree or belabor the point. Yes, definitely stay here if you want full access to Atlantis without the added expense and higher resort fees. What I will say is this: the Comfort Suites has the BEST customer service. Every single person, regardless of role, says "good morning" or "good afternoon" to you as you walk by. Everyone smiles. The bartender (Jamaal) is nothing but a basket of sunshine, and the others were great, too, dancing and seemingly having as good of a time as their patrons. On the downside, the breakfast at the hotel was "meh" but typical for the brand, and FREE, which is nice. I hate spending $28/day on breakfast at the pricier hotels. (And the coffee was great, which was also nice). Also the internet was very slow at times (but again, free). It was not a cheap trip, but we couldn't stop talking about the customer service the whole time we were there. At Atlantis, we said hi to someone and they grunted at us. Literally grunted. That's a shame for a high end resort. Well done, Comfort Suites. We'll see you again.

Great Atlantis Alternative!

Spent 4 nights here during the holidays. It is right across the street from Atlantis, and as you have read, you get access to everything there. The rooms are nice, though I am not a big fan of the sink being separate from the toilet/bathtub room. The staff is very friendly there, and are glad you are there. Breakfast is pretty good, and is served in 2 locations to ease the big crowds. And, it is included in your stay. I would definitely stay there again when I return to Paradise Island.

Myself and my boyfriend had a lovely stay at the Comfort Suites in December 2017. All the staff were so lovely and welcoming!! Our room was maintained/cleaned throughout and we always had fresh towels. The staff were ALWAYS pleasant and willing to go the extra miles for us. Breakfast was average for what we paid but I would have liked them to provide bacon a little more (we stayed for 10 days). Stone throw away from Atlantis, but we didn't eat there of a night. We would often go to the Fish Fry and was recommended by the front desk ladies where to eat. We had some of our most enjoyable and delicious meals at the Fish Fry and it felt good paying our dollars into small businesses rather than a gigantic chain (and to be fair, average food). This hotel is wonderful for the price we paid and the amenities we got with it. We'll come back again one day (and recommend this place to anyone in the meantime).

Not "Comfort"able in Paradise

I called the hotel when we missed our connecting flight to let them know we would still be there. I explained that we missed the connection due to a maintenance problem with the first flight. I wanted to ensure that our room with 2 beds would be held for us. I spoke to Darron and he said not to worry that it would. When we arrived some 8 hours later, we found out that our room was given away and we had to stay for a night in a smaller room with our 2 grown kids. The only credit we received was the difference between the 1 bed and 2 bed rooms. I spoke to a manager and explained the situation and she said that she couldn't verify the conversation since Darron wasn't there at that time. I asked, "Now how would I know Darron's name if I hadn't spoken with him?" (No answer!) The room they gave us for the first night was dirty and the sink had 3 large cracks in it. The breakfast at this place is disgusting and dry. The only positive is that you can use the Atlantis park at no charge. I would not recommend this place. Spend the extra money and stay either at Atlantis or another big name resort where they know how to treat their customers.
