We were sooo disappointed that the pool wasn't open. WE weren't told until day before that it wasn't open. We probably would have cancelled or pushed back trip. Its important that we had a pool on site that we could go because we had one in our party that has trouble walking. We liked atlantis but also wasn't told so many restaurants weren't open because it was off season. The pool was suppose to be open when we came.

I promised my girls a trip for their high school graduation. After all the research I decided on the Bahamas. Comfort suites was at the top of the list and had great reviews and access to Atlantis resort. We had a wonderful time. Everyone was so nice and accommodating.

Where is the comfort at Comfort Suites
STACIA P.
Sep 02 2016
Upon arrival I was greeted by a courteous staff member, Angelo who explained the access to Atlantis and the hotel breakfast schedule. As we proceeded to our room a strong smell of Febreeze and Lysol assaulted my nose. I was overtaken by the smell inside of my room as well; yet, I did not complain. The first night I noticed that the tub nor sink drained properly and by the third night I had to call maintenance. There was a three hour wait and I had to delay bathing. This would have been okay had the maintenance guy actually fixed the drainage issue. Nonetheless, while I waited I had to endure constant running overhead at 10:00pm at night! So, I tried to watch television only to be told by my niece that the television was preventing her from sleeping. I really believed this was a one bedroom suite with a separate living room area. However, I discovered that it was not a suite but an efficiency. What a disappointment especially since I have a timeshare and could have made other arrangements. This is an experience I will never forget for all the wrong reasons. I hope that the general manager will consider removing the carpet from the hallways and redesigning a few room to actually be a suite! Yes, I would pay more to stay in a hotel that is supposed to provide comfort from a long day of activities!

Bahamas Getaway

I did have some reservations as to whether we had chosen the right hotel for our trip. But from arriving at the airport, with transportation to the hotel, and early check-in, everything was beyond expectations for us. Great friendly service, above and beyond. Being vegans in the Bahamas is a tough call, but the hotel/restaurant staff made it a pleasure. We never used the pool here, but the facilities are really good.

The location was great. We were comfortable at this hotel. The dressing area could be larger that would be my only complaint.

Comfort Suites - Paradise Island - wonderful experience

We had a great time and loved the hotel. Had read reviews and didn't have any issues that folks had reported. We found all of the staff very professional, helpful and nice. Breakfast at times were busy but we adjusted and went earlier. Water pressure was fine. Very well run facility and well kept. We absolutely loved it and would go back. I would say our only complaint was that the pool water was too warm to our liking but there were certainly plenty of pools to choose from at the Atlantis. Have already recommended it to friends and family.

Scam alert! Do not book here.

We arrived today for our much awaited vacation to the Comfort Suites. I did my homework and booked directly through their site, and received an email invoice for our 7 night stay. I booked directly through their site to ensure that all charges were accounted for at the time of booking and to make sure I wouldn’t be surprised with any hidden fees or costs. Because booking through a hotels website should be an accurate depiction of what the costs should be right? NOPE. I was sent an invoice upon booking with an estimated tax total of $40 and when I arrived here I was told that the tax was $600 for the week. Six hundred dollars in taxes that were not disclosed at the time of booking ON THEIR WEBSITE. I was tossed back and forth between a manager (who I never saw or had the decency to come talk to me) and “customer service at head office” who repeatedly said that they can’t do anything about it. Complete and utter misrepresentation of the costs and had I known upon booking that this would be the case, I would have surely booked elsewhere. This is a complete and utter scam and neither party involved care even a little bit about how much they are defrauding you. The front desk clerk Charlese even admitted to me that this was wrong and unfair but nothing was done. This demonstrates horrible business ethic and if I was able to easily make last minute changes and go elsewhere I would have. Booking through their website directly should have assured me an accurate depiction of what I would be charged. This is specifically why I didn’t book through a third party. I will not be returning and advise others not to book here. How dishonest.

Nice Hotel-Checkin was very slow but great savings to have breakfast included

The hotel was nice. Checkin took a couple of hours We got there around 2:30, they said checkin wasn't until 3 but our room wasn't ready until 4:30!! Good advice while you are waiting** is to go over to Atlantis and get your wristbands. That desk closes around 4 or 5 every day so you won't be able to get in that night\ if you don't have a wristband. Now you'll be ready to go the next day. The pool area was very nice and clean. The bartenders play fun music during the day. We seemed to have issues every day with the TV in our room, never figured out how to work it properly. Rooms were nice and clean.. I don't think I'd stay here again. I'd rather pay the extra money and just stay right at Atlantis. However if you have a big family, it might be worth the free breakfast you get here. Actually, I'd really rather stay at the Rui and be right on the beach with all of my meals and alcohol included. Eating out is a FORTUNE. And one visit to Atlantis is enough to have your fill. I would like to give a shout out to Charlisa who was the most professional, courteous, helpful, pleasant person I ever met at a hotel.

Worst bunch of crooks at a subpar hotel

Reserve months in advance to garantee a room and rate... And these crooks get you at the check in counter. My garanteed rate increased from $1400 to $2100... Don't stay with them and don't book through Choice Hotels. I was told nothing could be done about it 'cause it was the Bahamas and it's nearly impossible to get refunded.

Great hotel!!

Was not expecting this hotel to be so nice. The room was spacious and clean without the normal "hotel smell" Check n was quick and easy. The hotel staff were all very friendly and the free breakfast has everything you could want to eat. The best part is the free access to Atlantis facilities. Cant wait to go back again!!!

4th time was not a charm..

Booked and checked in indicating that this is our 4th trip back to Comfort Suites. Didn't think much of the view of our ROOM #277, which is just passed the elevator, located by the inside breakfast area. I believe... Wednesday is trash truck day @ 630am Thursday is liguid gas filling @ 600am Sunday is trash truck day @ 530am Tuesday is liquid gas filling @ 600am The fire alarm went off repeatedly. Monday morning at 600am, and at random times almost every day. Very very loud throughout the property. 277 happens to be located adjacent to the breakfast are, which is great....if you like a door slamming right next door every 30 seconds or so.. that would be the door that leads from the breakfast area to the prep area in back.. nothing lik a bass drum early in the am.. Breakfast area running out of plates and silverware, stealing from one side of the hotel to the other. Staff yelling at other staff to leave their supplies alone... Staff yelling at quests for taking food back to their rooms, as the breakfast are was overflowing with people.. Once we settled in, we didn't want to move. I get up early anyway. My family can sleep through a tornado, so we just stuck it out.. Ironically, it was something everyday...very early.. We now call it the dumpster room, as the trash truck lifts the dumpster and shakes it around for a good 15-20, nice and quietly of course, in the wee hours... completed dark.... Breakfast was good if you get there early... 4th time gets us the dumpster room, which I'm certain no one has complained about in past... Well, in the past day.. Atlantis was awesome as usual... The room fiasco didn't ruin anything, but a few hours of sleep .. Powerboat Adventures was a blast again... Virgil's is bad Carmine's was good Thursday night and super salty Sunday night. Ordered the same time. Murrays deli was great..closed in Tuesday's I think.. Highlight was swimming with Ben Roethlisberger at the Ruins pool on Monday. He was there with his family for 5 hours. Only a few people noticed him, as he was laying low...for Big Ben anyway.. he also had a couple of body quards keeping a close eye in his family... Love the Atlantis.. Comfort Suites pretty much sucked.. We will pay extra and stay at the Atlantis or Harborside next time.. I would say 277-280 and probably 377-380 & 477-480 would hear the happenings of the loading dock as well.. I hope this helps...
