We were sooo disappointed that the pool wasn't open. WE weren't told until day before that it wasn't open. We probably would have cancelled or pushed back trip. Its important that we had a pool on site that we could go because we had one in our party that has trouble walking. We liked atlantis but also wasn't told so many restaurants weren't open because it was off season. The pool was suppose to be open when we came.

I promised my girls a trip for their high school graduation. After all the research I decided on the Bahamas. Comfort suites was at the top of the list and had great reviews and access to Atlantis resort. We had a wonderful time. Everyone was so nice and accommodating.

Where is the comfort at Comfort Suites
STACIA P.
Sep 02 2016
Upon arrival I was greeted by a courteous staff member, Angelo who explained the access to Atlantis and the hotel breakfast schedule. As we proceeded to our room a strong smell of Febreeze and Lysol assaulted my nose. I was overtaken by the smell inside of my room as well; yet, I did not complain. The first night I noticed that the tub nor sink drained properly and by the third night I had to call maintenance. There was a three hour wait and I had to delay bathing. This would have been okay had the maintenance guy actually fixed the drainage issue. Nonetheless, while I waited I had to endure constant running overhead at 10:00pm at night! So, I tried to watch television only to be told by my niece that the television was preventing her from sleeping. I really believed this was a one bedroom suite with a separate living room area. However, I discovered that it was not a suite but an efficiency. What a disappointment especially since I have a timeshare and could have made other arrangements. This is an experience I will never forget for all the wrong reasons. I hope that the general manager will consider removing the carpet from the hallways and redesigning a few room to actually be a suite! Yes, I would pay more to stay in a hotel that is supposed to provide comfort from a long day of activities!

Bahamas Getaway

I did have some reservations as to whether we had chosen the right hotel for our trip. But from arriving at the airport, with transportation to the hotel, and early check-in, everything was beyond expectations for us. Great friendly service, above and beyond. Being vegans in the Bahamas is a tough call, but the hotel/restaurant staff made it a pleasure. We never used the pool here, but the facilities are really good.

The location was great. We were comfortable at this hotel. The dressing area could be larger that would be my only complaint.

Comfort Suites - Paradise Island - wonderful experience

We had a great time and loved the hotel. Had read reviews and didn't have any issues that folks had reported. We found all of the staff very professional, helpful and nice. Breakfast at times were busy but we adjusted and went earlier. Water pressure was fine. Very well run facility and well kept. We absolutely loved it and would go back. I would say our only complaint was that the pool water was too warm to our liking but there were certainly plenty of pools to choose from at the Atlantis. Have already recommended it to friends and family.

Fourth annual stay at this hotel, and it's still the best option to experience Atlantis
Pellaz2112, Auburn, Georgia

I've stayed at the Comfort Suites Paradise Island four years in a row, all in November, and t's still the best way to experience Atlantis, which is a short walk up the hill. Guests at CSPI enjoy full access to Atlantis and Aquaventure, and this, combined with the comparatively low nightly rates compared to Atlantis, makes staying here almost a no-brainer. Add to this the fact that Comfort Suites offers a good, hot breakfast for FREE every morning -- and Atlantis' breakfast buffet now costs over $30 per person for adults -- and it's easy to see why CSPI is such a great option. In my opinion, the rooms at CSPI are nicer -- and are definitely roomier -- than the rooms at the signature Royal Tower over at Atlantis, too. Rooms at the Comfort Suites are, after all, suites, and include a seating area as well as the bed, and also include a sizeable refrigerator, (I bring sodas from home and stock the fridge.) Not so at Atlantis, where you get a small mini-fridge filled with expensive items for which you get charged if you even just move them around. If you arrive before your room is ready, they will store your luggage for you while you go enjoy Atlantis. Note that during the "low" season (including November), the free breakfast is now only offered in the Pelican Room (east side of the hotel) during weekends. Free breakfast is available every morning at Crusoe's Restaurant by the pool, though. Also, the pool is no longer open 24 hours; it closes at 8 pm. And while it still has a really nice swim-up bar (and good, friendly bartenders!), Atlantis has finally added a swim-up bar as part of the Coral Pool renovation. Despite these minor quibbles, this was still an excellent, problem-free stay. I'll continue to stay here in the future whenever I come to visit Atlantis.

A peaceful way to visit Paradise Island

If you are looking for a peaceful way to visit paradise island I would recommend Comfort Suites. Loacated on the island walking distance from the casino and all Paradise Island has to offer plus walking distance to the Marina Village shops and restaurants, the ferry to downtown. Hot breakfast is included and access to everything Atlantis has to offer.

Great bargain

We booked a room here because it comes with up to 4 free admission wristbands to Atlantis. We were only there for one day porting with Carnival Elation Cruise-ship so we didn't even go to the room at all so I can't give a review on the actual room. The lounge area was beautiful. Hotel is in walking distance to Atlantis which was a nice scenic route. We will definitely taking advantage of this on our next cruise

From the moment we got there, until we left, everything was great! We had an early flight so we got into the airport around 9:30am and we got to the hotel a little before 11 and we were checked in by 11:00 AM! Pretty awesome! Check in was a breeze and so was check out! The only thing that I just now thought of was we were in room number 319 and everything was great we are right across from Atlantis and the only thing was our sliding glass door was hard to open so that’s the only complaint we had... we should have mentioned that but we forgot! Great buffet breakfast that we had Daily and free Wi-Fi, access to Atlantis and it is just a great location and when we do go back there we will definitely stay at the Comfort Suites! We were in a great location within the hotel...the picture is our view out the window towards Atlantis!

Charged credit card after we left

They will run your credit card after you check out and not get your permission or even tell you about it. The day after we checked out we were charged $78 for a house keeping fee. When we checked out the receptionist informed us that we were good to go and that we would not be charged any additional fees. When we arrived back in the states our card was charged. I emailed them and after a week of no response I called them and had to pay an international fee with my carrier. The receptionist informed me that we were charged a house keeping fee. I informed her that when we booked through BJs travel the house keeping fee was included. She tells me that when it came through the fee was not included and that’s why we were charged. She apologized that we were not informed of our charge during our week long stay at Comfort Suites. They charged our card without our consent or even our knowledge or reason for the charge. My father is a travel agent and that’s who we booked the room through. He will now tell all of his clients this info so they can be warned. It is very shady and sneaky business of comfort suites. If we needed to pay a fee they should have let us know while we were there so we could contact BJs and handle everything rather than waiting for us to get back to the US where it would be harder for us to reach them. This is my fourth time staying at Comfort Suites and I am simply appalled.
