Casa Dorada is great. Upon arrival, they didn't have a room for our first night, so they put us next door at ME Cabo. beautiful rooms, but wrong atmosphere for us (loud electronic music). When we returned on the second night, we reafirmed that Casa Dorada was the perfect choice: great pool service, lovely rooms and amazing staff. To make up for our troubles, the staff gave us some complimentary items and we left happy. Granted, having had the purchased room (and hotel) from day 1 would be ideal, but they made up for it. Would stay there again if returning to Cabo.

The Casa Dorada is a beautiful hotel and the rooms are spacious with wonderful views. The location is prime to everything!! Just a few things really rubbed us the wrong way. Upon arrival we were briskly handed off to a guy who presented himself as hospitality/activities person which quickly turned into a timeshare push and pressured us to come to a "special complimentary breakfast" to see what all of the resort and ownership had to offer. He said it was going to be $20 to pay for the breakfast and hold our spot. We quickly told him we weren't interested and he said "well is it because you don't have $20?" RUDE!! Another incident was on the beach and the manager came up to us and said "our security camera's saw you go to your room and return with a bucket a beer, you have to buy beer from the beach staff, that's our policy! I quickly told him that we did purchase our beer from the pool bar and showed him our receipt and stated what he SAW was my husband filling up our beer bucket with more ice from the first floor ice machine. It was very rude and he was VERY mistaken on what was supposedly "security cameras"! Didn't happen. Anyway besides those two incidents, we had a wonderful time and all the staff besides those 2 people were absolutely charming, sweet and eager to please.

Very cold in the room. Should have portable heaters when needed. Bathtub shower very dangerous, no grab bar and can slip on bathtub floor.

Rooms were really really nice and kept up perfectly! Resort was a bit noisy due to Mango Deck bar.

Was told at check in that the hotel was intentionally overbooked. Although we were offered a room at another hotel (penthouse) we were not happy that after we had paid for our room months in advance that this could happen. We stayed at this hotel in October 2013 and loved it so much we booked it again within a week for March 2014.

The hotel, staff, food, bar, spa, etc. were excellent. I highly recommend this hotel but caution you going during Spring break unless you like teenie boopers as they crowd the restaraunt on the beach which is located directly next door to the hotel. This has no bearing on the hotel, just the time of year. As a matter of fact the Mango Deck, next door, is also excellent for their quacamole, staff, and entertainment.

Stayed here for six days and it was awesome. I came here with my family and we stayed in a two bedroom villa. The view was breathtaking and amazing. When we arrived the lady at the front desk reception was not welcoming. She was kind of arrogant. Everybody else was awesome!

Spacious, clean, excellent service and right on the beach. You walk down a few steps and right on the pristine coast of Sea of Cortez. Medrano Beach is one of the best sections in Cabo. Family friendly and the rooms have kitchens and dining tables. Highly recommend this hotel.

I would like to start thanking few people, before I write my review ( once again) about casa Dorada. Miriam Cham @ the reservation department Gabriela ( @ the concierge) Adrian (@ front desk & I hope, I got your name right! ) thank you all for an outstanding hospitality & service! my daughter, son in law & my grandson had a blast! of course as usual, my wife and I too! for us, CD is our home away from home! ( thanks to the rest of CD team, that I’ve not mentioned by there name) I would like to give more than 5 stars ⭐️ to Casa Dorada & the team, that makes the resort for what it is, but I can’t! they need to come up with 7stars 🌟, just for Casa Dorada! please keep doing what you’re doing! & maybe change the name from Casa Dorada, to PARADISE spa and resort! thank you all & see you in October!

Birthday and friends get away- ok, not the best

Let me start by saying I wish I could give the hotel a better review, but I just can’t. They tried to correct the issues we had, but there shouldn’t have been any like we had to begin with. Checking in was good.. the concierge was very helpful and friendly. When he found out it was my bday he wanted to make it special which was appreciated. Problems started here... we were clear that we requested a higher level floor and not by pool when we made reservations. Being we got to hotel before noon, room was not ready til close to 3. Ok, no biggie. When we went to get keys we found out we got a 1st floor room (128) right next to the pool. Exactly the OPPOSITE in which we asked for at Check in or when making reservations. The concierge encouraged us to at least look at room so we did. It was appreciated the champagne and balloons, but it was loud by the pool in which we made clear we didn’t want. That evening we went back to the concierge, thanked them for decorating the room but we didn’t like all the noise. We were told they would move us the next day... we woke up to a note telling us we had to be out of our room by 10, and wouldn’t have our new room til 3pm. I’m not joking... we had zero access to bags from 10am to close to 4:30 being they lost our bags. When we transferred to our new room (527) our bags got lost. We were told they would be there when we got to new room, but it was over an hour before they found them. So our bags were out of our possession from 10-4:30. NOT OK!!!! When we got to new room we were greeted by the distinct smell of mold and mildew. Being we had dinner plans for my birthday we hurried and got ready and left the room. The next morning we were both coughing and having chest congestion due to being exposed to mold. Having asthma it was not good. They came to clean the room and used straight bleach... so our room smelled of mold and bleach.. again NOT GOOD FOR SOMEONE THAT ASTHMA!!! They spread the spores using a rag then sprayed the areas with bleach. My husband again talked to management and once again we had to move rooms. And once again bags were not there in our room when we got keys ..... While this was happening I went to the spa to get out of the room. Another issue here- I made a reservation for a 90 minute massage, and only got a 60 minute, yet I was charged for the 90. When I pointed it out at the spa while checking out, I was basically told no one can change it and no supervisor available. I was told to sign the charge slip. It was only 12:30 in the afternoon and no supervisor ..... so once again I had to go to management about an issue as spa could not resolve at all. Overall it’s a pretty hotel, but with all the issues and for what we paid, there are much more nicer places all around the world to go and we will not be coming back nor will I recommend hotel to anyone. I appreciate the management staff tried to correct the issues, but we should have not had to deal with some of these issues at all.
