  Wonderful Experience at Breathless

  Just returned from a week at Breathless Resort & Spa in Cancun. The resort is beautiful and very well maintained. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. The pools and spa were fantastic, and the entertainment was top notch. Nice assortment of restaurants and the food was really good everywhere we went. The staff was phenomenal, especially Manuel at Spoon. Everyone was super friendly and hard working. It was a great week!

  Outstanding all inclusive experience.

  Everything was exceptional. Room was spotlessly clean. Meals were fantastic. Entertainment and activities were geared towards a younger party crowd than us, and it could be pretty noisy until the early morning hours. Might have chosen a different resort if I had known of this beforehand, but I don't fault the resort at all.

  Breathless... except for the beach.

  We stayed here for five nights with a group of 20 people to celebrate my birthday. We picked this resort for its picturesque grounds, great reviews and close proximity to the airport. Overall, the stay was amazing. We had booked an Allure Jr. Suite and were upgraded to an Xhale Oceanfront King with Swim Up Pool. The room was well-appointed but the view and the swim-up pool is what really made the trip special. We loved being able to take a swim with morning coffee or a late night dip before bed. Only issues we encountered with the room was inconsistent stocking of the mini-bar and coffee amenities. Several times we had to call/text for extra supplies or to be stocked. The staff at the hotel were overall very helpful and responsive once on site. Prior to the stay we encountered great challenges with a specific concierge staff who was very unresponsive when trying to set up a group dinner. But again, overall the restaurant, bar, pool, and general staff were truly great. The hotel seems to really cater to large groups - several birthday, bachelor, bachelorette, conference, and other groups celebrating various events. However, they do make it hard to do group dinners larger than 6-8 people and the restaurants are inconsistent in terms of how they handle waits as none take reservations without charging a significant fee. Overall food was above average compared to other all-inclusive resorts we have stayed at. We dined at the Asian, Mexican, French, and Italian. The food at all were great. Service was a little slower than similar restaurants in the US, but we also realized it was quite a busy weekend for the resort. Breakfast via room service, Bites, and Spoon were all excellent! From an entertainment perspective, we felt the offerings were adequate. During the five days there was only one show in the Theatre as at least 1-2 were canceled while there. While disappointing, as a large group we found plenty to do. The karaoke outdoors three of the five nights was too much. We overall enjoyed the pool entertainment as well. The resort markets itself as a high energy, party atmosphere and we agree. The clientele seemed to agree and overall have a great time with out anyone being out of control. A few downsides - the check-in process (Xhale club) took way too long. After a four hour flight, quick transfer and arrival, we just wanted to get to our room and enjoy, yet the process took over 30 minutes and seemed unorganized. There is some work needed to clearly communicate the amenities for Xhale. For example, it was never clear if Xhale could use the Secrets pool or amenties despite being connected to that area. The resort also takes any opportunity to upcharge guests - at dinners, at the spa and at check-in, including an awkward pitch to visit a new Hyatt Inclusive Series property near Tulum (we did not bite). The Xhale Lounge can also be improved. We never used it as it doubles as the check-in/check-out space and has barely any seating, especially compared to the Secrets Preferred Club right next door. The biggest downside of this property is the beach and water. The pictures of crystal clear water off the beach are not accurate as the water is murky, seaweed filled and generally not pleasant. The beach looks nice, but is rather rocky and generally not walkable. Thank goodness the pools are great! Overall, a wonderful stay. The biggest tip I would offer is that if you want a quiet room, seek out the Xhale rooms in Building 3. We were close to everything but had restful nights. Several in our party were in Building 4 and were awakened at time by people leaving the nightclub late at night/early in the morning. Lastly, the swimout rooms were well-worth it!

  Lively resort with lots to do! Great food!

  This was our first visit to a Breathless resort. But we have been to secrets before. We loved the amount of daily activities that are on this resort. There are also multiple night time activities typically. There's an earlier event and a later show or vise versa which we loved. We also enjoyed the night club for some extra calorie burn after dinner :) beach volleyball was absolutely our favorite. And we enjoyed our morning walks along the beach. The beach is not super swimmable due to the rocks, but there's a nice little 20 minute loop for walking along the shore that we enjoyed every morning. The entertainment team made sure all the activities started on time and recruited people to play which made it very enjoyable. The temperature of the pool was moderately warm which made it so enjoyable to get jn and out of! The food was awesome. Our favorites were the French restaurant and the Asian restaurant. They had at least 2 nights with a special outdoor buffet with the shows to mix it up as well. Our drinks all tasted amazing along the way. Rooms were spotless, modern, yet cozy and romantic. Loved every minute of our trip ❤️ this was our 11 year anniversary!

  An Unforgettable Experience at Breathless Riviera Cancun Resort & Spa

  Our stay at Breathless Riviera Cancun Resort & Spa was truly exceptional, and so much of that is thanks to the incredible staff who went above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable. A huge thank-you to Frida, Christian, Cristian, Alfredo, Roger, Charly Boy, Geraldo Zamudio, Jorge Garcia, and Nahian for their warmth, professionalism, and genuine hospitality. Every interaction was filled with kindness, attention to detail, and a sincere desire to make sure we felt welcomed and cared for. Special recognition goes to Manny from the entertainment team, who brought amazing energy, fun, and unforgettable vibes every single day — the resort simply wouldn’t be the same without him. Daniel at the pool bar was outstanding, consistently serving top-tier drinks with a smile and remembering our preferences, which made pool days even more enjoyable. We also want to commend Javier from security, who made us feel safe and comfortable at all times while remaining friendly and approachable — a perfect balance of professionalism and warmth. Because of this phenomenal team, Breathless Riviera Cancun stands out as a resort that truly understands what luxury hospitality means. We are so grateful to each of you for making our stay not just a vacation, but a memorable experience we’ll cherish and absolutely return for. Highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for exceptional service, great energy, and a staff that genuinely cares. 💙🌴
