    Amazing Hotel

    I had an amazing time at the Zel. The food, the drinks, the service, we were treated like royalties. I have never had better service in my life. I would recommend this place to anyone with no reservation. The food at the Mexican restaurant was just delicious. Had ceviche all week with tacos.

    Well maintained and modern.

    The staff was friendly. No one speaks English very well. The food was as you would expect at an all inclusive on a 3rd world island. Not bad but not excellent. There are no staff around the pools. I’d have liked to have people filling drinks but really that’s my only complaint. It was a great spot for a quick vacation.

    Falls short of 5 star

    We stayed at the Zel last January when they were newly reopened. We returned this year hoping things would improve, as the resort had time to work out the kinks. The rooms and grounds remain top-notch and are truly a highlight. Last year, drink service was available in the lobby during the evenings and regularly by the pool. This year, we experienced pool service on only one day and none in the evenings. While the bar itself isn’t far, this level of service does not align with a property advertised as a five-star resort, and it impacted our overall rating. The food experience has unfortunately not improved. The buffet remains much the same as last year — food was often cold, soggy, and lacking flavor. Options at both the buffet and à la carte restaurants were even more limited than during our previous stay, which was disappointing, as this was an area we had hoped would improve. This resort has a lot of potential to truly be a five-star destination, but it continues to fall short in several key areas. Sadly, we will not be returning for a third year.

    Not the best

    There were many small hiccups. Food is same every day at the buffet, and bland. Restaurants volcao is not good, the asian one is alright and tacorini. Staff looks and feels overworked and little rude at times. Booked massage and spa, felt their services were a little unprofessional. Giving mixed directions of everythinf causing us to not be aware of using full facilities. Plus my massage therapist was using her phone during my season thinking I cant see laying down. If you speak spanish its good, otherwise no one to really communicate with for help or questions. No info of on nearby activities within resort, we could of just followed other people last day and realized we missed out. So much mosquitoes everywhere Place was clean and does lots of sprays, we booked it initially reading no bad reviews on roaches until we saw a huge black ones near buffet area. The staff was looking into it tho. Cute cats around No elevators Place is clean

    Nice Stay for my partners Birthday

    Zel Punta Cana is really amazing. I love the small Hotel and the privacy and also the floating in the Pool with its hidden corners everywhere. The Beach is nice. But there should be more sunbeds. The Restaurants are really good. My Partner loved the Steak House Volcano. The main buffet was Always really healthy. Pur favourite snackbar was Tacorini. Eddy and Luis are always a Great Team with their Service. My Favourite Part are the art classes. Love that! I really have to Thank Romina. She organised everything for my Partners Birthday with cake and decoration and reservation. She texted me all the time if everything was alright and send me photos for the cake options. She was so Kind and helpful. She also informed me about the activities at my Partners Birthday. The Beach Party was a blast. We really enjoy our stay here!
