Oct 03, 2025Disappointing Stay — But Chef Naryan Was Outstanding!
We stayed here for 5 nights from September 28 to October 3, and unfortunately, the experience overall fell short of expectations — except for the incredible Chef Naryan. He was the absolute highlight of our stay. Chef Naryan went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. His warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail truly stood out. He personally came around to check on guests, ensured our meals were perfect, and showed genuine hospitality that the rest of the resort sadly lacked. Aside from Chef Naryan’s excellent service, the rest of the experience was underwhelming. We understood it was the off-season, but the hotel felt completely dead — there was no energy or atmosphere at all. What was more disappointing was the lack of attention from staff. Just because the hotel wasn’t full doesn’t mean paying guests should be ignored. Service at the pool bar was especially poor. Most of the time, there was no bartender, and we had to get out of the pool to track someone down just to order a drink. We were also told that several amenities — including the kids club, brunch at Castle View, and the hookah lounge — would open on October 1st (as confirmed by the hotel’s own text message on September 28). But when we asked on October 1, we were casually told that the opening was pushed to October 20 with no explanation or warning. Overall, we paid full price for what felt like a half-closed resort — limited dining options, no kids club, no poolside activities, and very little service.

Wonderful
The hotel is beautiful and was very clean. My room was cleaned daily. The atmosphere was very calming, which made relaxing possible even on a business trip. The staff were very pleasant and accommodating. I am looking forward to my next visit.

From the ambiance to the cleanliness. Traveling Barbados 🇧🇧 this resort is highly recommended to stay at.
The entire staff was very engaging and accommodating. Always greeting you with a warm welcoming smile. Amazing hostesses from Caroline and Sophia in the banquet, to Ms. Shelly Grant. One must say it is great service when your server can remember and acknowledge you by your name. To me this was a blow-away experience. Kudos ladies continue to let your light shine.
