French chateau right next to Gardens of Versailles
We stayed for 4 nights as a family, the hotel is like a French chateau nestled right next to the Gardens of Versailles. You will feel like a royal staying here. It is also a short 10-min walk away from a pleasant town with many shops and bakeries. As a family, we enjoyed this quaint peaceful town moreso than the bustling streets of Paris. Some points of improvement: - In our first room, the shower did not drain, the water temperature adjustment was not working, and the espresso machine was broken. This may be due to the age of the building. The second room we got was fine. - Breakfast was nice in an elegant setting. However, it was quite pastry-heavy (perhaps in French style). I can only eat so many croissants and sweet breads. I would've preferred a greater selection of meats or local specialties. Moreover, there was no self-serve coffee nor milk, so every cup had to be individually requested when waiters were sometimes busy. The coffee was all espresso style, whereas I prefer filter drip. On one occasion, a staff helped me get a boiled egg for breakfast, but dropped it on the counter. He continued to dabble it into my plate, to my bewilderment. I did not eat that egg. - The restaurants on-premise are all very high-brow. Gordon Ramsay did not have a childs menu, so we ate at La Veranda one night which was delicious. However, the final bill for 3 totaled €250. Some nights we just ate cereal in the room with the child because there was no casual dining nearby. - On checkout, we noticed many false charges from the mini-bar. Apparently, they use a "high-tech" minibar which checks for anything moved automatically. We moved items frequently due to storing our own drinks in the hotel fridge, so one must be vigilant of the bill. There was also a €10/person city tax, which was a bit of a surprise despite booking with points. These are all minor however. Overall we had a great stay feeling like royals in this peaceful town by the gardens. Would stay here again.

Queen for a day
What a glorious stay. We were lucky enough to spend a night here in the middle of a 3 week European vacation. This was an absolute delight! Gracious welcome. Extraordinary property. Gorgeous Peacock Alley bar. Spectacular pool. Exceptionally wonderful spa- had a facial and bought Guerlain products. Fantastic dinner- they even sang Happy Birthday (in French of course.) Terrific bathroom. Super comfortable beds. Just all around wonderful experience. Would definitely recommend and look forward to visiting again.

Relaxing retreat
Excellent hotel, from the moment we arrived the service was impeccable. Staff were helpful and friendly but unobtrusive, the hotel was spotlessly clean throughout. Our room a deluxe king double was spacious, airy very clean, and quiet. The restaurant La Veranda was perfect for breakfast and dinner, just the right ambiance for both, with superb food for both breakfast and dinner, the service again was impeccable. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are visiting Versailles, it is next door to the palace and well placed to explore the town of Versailles.

Fabulous entrance to a Palace
This is a beautiful resort on beautiful grounds. Checking in was seamless even had an upgrade to our room, which was also ready when we arrived. Our room was a decent size. I love the bathroom. The only complaint was the bed was just too soft. I felt like I sunk into the mattress. My husband felt the same way and he has a back problem. The grounds are beautiful and the staff was outstanding. We had dinner at La Veranda and the staff was very accommodating, but I can’t give the food five stars. Four of us got the steak and it was all fat, sorry to say. I asked for a dirty martini, the first one came out as a citrus drink, and the second one came out pink with Greek olives. Finally, I ordered a glass of white wine. Desserts were excellent and the views from our table were beautiful and noise level was perfect.
