Jan 25, 2026Beautiful location - great for visiting Versailles
Stayed for short break just after Christmas. 1st time at this hotel. All staff were attentive and very helpful. Good size room with park view, very quiet and peaceful. We had drinks in the bar,- which were very nice, but did not eat in the restaurant as we had made lunch and dinner reservations outside the hotel. Breakfast choices were OK, but slightly chaotic self service (but this may just have been to the busy time of year). Would return if we were in this area again.

One of the best places I have stayed in, among the last 18 days in France. Let me begin with the service. Despite the heavy snow going on, the concierge stayed outside to carry all our luggage with smiles and advised us on how/where to park… At the Peacock bar, Mr Leon was an amazing host , extremely helpful in all our various enquiries! Perfect concierges on top of his waiter skills. (I would say he topped the service skills to all my hotel experiences in the last 20 years). Finally the service at breakfast was really professional yet extremely friendly/caring and helpful given the heavy snow situation and all the driving restrictions around; the staff really cared and advised us on potential options to ease our journey. The only other note would be on the breakfast food quality and variety. It was just perfect. Nothing to say. All choices. Upper quality. Thank you. Let s hope we come back soon!

50th Birthday Celebration
Waldorf Astoria Versailles was the start of a great birthday trip. We stayed in a family suite in the Palace building and it was beautiful. The service was top notch from check in to concierge to the wait staff at the bar. We had dinner at the chefs table at Gordon Ramsey Au Trianon on site and it was worth every penny. Very expensive but if you are in Versailles..why not? We were serviced by Anthony Haffner, Head Sommelier and were invited into the kitchen by Michelin-starred Chef Gabriele Ravasio! Such a treat to end a fabulous stay!

Relaxing luxury
This is our favourite staycation spot. Whenever we need a relaxing staycation, the Waldorf Astoria Versailles is our number one choice when in Ile-de-France Location is perfect : at the entrance of Versailles Gardens, excellent for strolling after a nice meal. Rooms in the palace part is very nice, tastefully decorated, comfy, with modern amenities, the bathroom is just huge with heated floors. If items are missing , just ring the dedicated services and it will be promptly delivered. From ours windows we can see the fireworks from Versailles Chateau every night. Upon knowing we celebrate a special birthday, the staff surprised us with nice attentions which are very appreciated. Service at the bar ( seated by the fireplace) is so relaxing while listening to live music band. Their French fries are the best ( rating by a 10 yo) Breakfast at the Verandah restaurant. Not many choices as in other huge palace but excellent quality ( carefully selected cured meat and cheese, smoked salmon etc..) Cakes baked by their chef Pastry. We even had honeycomb (see pictures) The highlight of our stay is our course the spa area and the swimming pool and hammam. Pretty rare to find such swimming pool around Paris . Never too crowded and wonderful attentive staff. In short, highly recommended place if you’re looking for a quiet luxury retreat far from the hustle and fuss of Paris city.

A Wonderful Hotel to Stay
This is a beautiful hotel located very closely to the entrance of Versailles. The hotel has all of the amenities you would expect for a high end facility. The staff are very professional and pleasant, including in the restaurant. The rooms are a very good size. The location is also off the main street so it is very quiet.
