Love the resort, especially the buffet breakfast. Augustin and his staff do an amazing job with food presentation and service. It's a major reason we keep coming back to Villa del Palmar.

Feb 12, 2026Overall had a wonderful vacation at this resort!
The hotel was lovely, the beach a little small so it was hard to get palapas or seats under umbrellas. Staff were great, standouts were Sheyla and Yanira looking after our room; Caesar, Havier, Marko and Angel were the greatest bartenders at the Mexican restaurant/bar and Paty, a waitress as several restaurants. Paco and Diana were awesome at entertaining during games of Lotteria, Bingo and Blackjack. Food was good, especially the breakfast buffet and bonus was reservations were not required for any of the specialty restaurants. The gals at the coffee/ice cream bar were wonderfully happy and friendly. Only complaint was that the time share salespeople won't take no for an answer, they will pester you for at least three days trying to get you to go to a presentation. Would not hesitate to recommend and would love to return.

Lotteria with Mar at Villa del Mar
Mexican Lotteria was so fun with our hostess, Mar! Fun for the whole family and our son won free pizza!
- AdvisoryBeginning May 6th the hotel is removing the Villa del Mar section of the hotel to construct new buildings. The construction site will be closed off to minimize noise. Some locations and services of outlets may change from time to time. Scheduled completion is 2027.
