  If you are looking to get married in Puerto Vallarta, I highly, highly recommend Velas Vallarta for an All Inclusive Resort Wedding! My fiancé and I saw the Jetty venue and knew we had to get married here. Additionally, we saw the repeated glowing reviews about Michèle Tanc (Velas Resorts Wedding Manager) and knew we wanted to work with her. From the beginning Velas Vallarta was highly responsive, and this continued after we booked with Velas Vallarta up until our wedding day. (We opted to work directly with Michèle and did not hire an outside planner.) Working with Michèle honestly exceeded any expectations we could have had. Michèle was so kind, encouraging, and communicative. She is also highly detailed and clearly very experienced at what she does. Michèle has a great relationship with all of the Velas Vallarta preferred vendors. While she is obviously managing wedding planning for many couples at a time, whenever we spoke with her it felt like she was completely focused on us. We truly felt like we were working with an encouraging friend throughout the planning process, and then she absolutely delivered on our vision for our welcome dinner and wedding day. Looking back, I cannot imagine getting married without Michèle being the one to walk us through the process for a destination wedding. She is THAT AMAZING!!!! The other thing that is nice about Velas Vallarta is that you are able to customize everything (versus set packages: A, B, and C). The result is a wedding that feels very catered to your relationship and vision. Our guests loved staying at Velas Vallarta. It's conveniently close to the airport, the pools are amazing, the food is delicious (and this resort is GREAT at accommodating dietary restrictions). Although there are only 2 restaurants, they switch up the menus so it does not feel like you are eating from the exact same menu each time you visit the restaurants. The dining options by the pool are delicious, and there is 24 hour room service. We had an incredible couples massage at the Spa on our last day before we left. The customer service of all the staff is top notch as well. They are so friendly and kind. The landscaping of the resort is incredibly well maintained and lush. We had a family friendly wedding, and this is an excellent spot for a family or group vacation. It will forever be a special place in our hearts that we plan to continue visiting for years to come. 100/10 <3

  Great Family Fun!

  The staff at Velas Vallarta was fantastic! From Juan Carlos, the General Manager to Ernesto, a wonderful server at Andrea Restaurant, to every team member, we were greeted warmly and sincerely, and were looked after with care. The property is beautiful with great pools that are very kid friendly. We had 11 family members, including adult kids and grandkids and everyone had a fabulous time. Definitely could use more and better gluten free options on the menus. The Andrea Restaurant, is, by far, the best dining choice. Thanks to Juan Carlos and his team for a great Thanksgiving week family adventure.

  BEST WEDDING LOCATION EVER!

  We went to Velas Vallarta to get married- and they blew away our expectations! We had a group of about 75 guests and all received such wonderful care. The resort is absolutely beautiful- the staff are amazing, the food is great, and the setting is perfect! Yoga on the jetty every morning was incredible. The wedding felt completely surreal- they handled everything, the decor was impeccable, the food was amazing, and we danced the night away! All of our guests were very impressed. I couldn't have been happier working with Michele throughout the entire process. Whether you're going for a special event or for vacation- do it! You won't be disappointed!

  A perfect getaway with the best customer service

  I 100% recommend Velas Hotel if you want to have a great time with your family, relax and take advantage of all their amenities. My family stayed there for a week with the all-inclusive plan. Our goal was to relax, enjoy and eat! I recommend going to the Yoga class in the morning, it was a game changer to our stay. Also, Angel and Jafet gave us great moments with the arts and crafts class and the aqua aerobics. We also took a tennis class with the teacher and it was challenging and fun. I want to give a special shout out to Ernesto, Heriberto and Francisco at Andrea's restaurant, they gave us one of the best services that we had experienced in my life. During breakfast at Andrea's, Angel and Asuzena were so kind and welcoming everytime we went there. Rogelio and Selerino at the pool also provided a remarkable service, we even planned to be in their pool area some days because of how great they were! We are so thankful for the treatment we received at this hotel, looking forward to coming back soon!

  Overall, a wonderful place for a family vacation

  Resort Grounds and Pools: 9/10. Everything is kept in immaculate condition, the staff are constantly working to keep it pristine. It feels like you’re in a tropical paradise. The pools are very nice. Lots of nice shaded areas. One slight bummer is the situation where everyone puts out towels on their chairs very early in the morning, but doesn’t actually use the chairs. I’d prefer if the staff removed the towels from unused chairs so you could actually find one in the shade. Rooms: 9/10. I’ve heard them described as dated, but ours felt very modern and nice. Air conditioning worked great. Staff were quick for anything we needed like extra blankets, or clogged shower. One surprise: Our 1-bedroom suite didn’t actually have a sofa-bed despite the description and floor plan showing one. Our kids slept on the two arms of the sectional couch, which worked fine for us since they wouldn’t be kicking each other. If I had really wanted a sofa bed, I would have complained. Staff: 10/10. Everyone was very friendly and helpful, regardless if it was at restaurant, room service, house cleaning, front desk, etc. Shout out to Ernesto, our favourite waiter who made my wife’s birthday special. Food: 7/10. The only thing that was lower than my expectations. It was a bit monotonous, and not particularly high-end. The buffet options at the two restaurants weren’t super appealing. The best food was generally at Andrea at night, where you needed to make reservations each morning. We only got room service a few times, but the taco meal was excellent. The drinks were great, and the kids loved the swim up bar. Notes: * There are only 2 restaurants, Andrea (fancier) and La Ribera (by the ocean, more casual). The website listed a third restaurant opening in November but we didn’t see one as of Nov 15th. There was a crepe bar in the lobby open in the afternoon. * Even Andrea has a kids menu, which is great for picky eaters. * The dress code on the handout was different than what was listed on the website. Andrea: “Casual/Elegant T-shirt or shirt with sleeves. Dress pants/shorts, closed toe shoes. No beachwear or sport shorts.” La Ribera: “Shirt with sleeves.” We were stressed out before traveling but it wasn’t a big deal once we were there. It wasn’t strictly enforced. You don’t need to bring pants or even closed toes shoes. Don’t overthink it.
