Jan 25, 2026First impressions are poor
Just checked in and process was very long. Finally got to room and disappointing, tired furniture which is showing its age. Queue for non-direct bookings made you feel second class 😔. When we finally got notification room was ready, asked a member of security directions but they couldn’t help (slightly worrying!) Perhaps because we have just left Disney where nothing was too much trouble - totally regretting decision to move!

Really nice kind of retro themed hotel. Has all the amenities for a family vacation. The weather was cool so we didn't try the pools or hot tub. There are several restaurants, and a bar by the pool. We went for the convenience of getting to Epic. We were able to load the bus with no issues and get to Epic. We were also able to take it to citywalk. It was nice, clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. Very close to international drive, Icon Park and Citywalk.

Cabana Bay, 2 stars at best
Really looked forward to staying there, and what a bust. My wife is a huge MCM fan and this hotel did not live up anywhere near to the hype. I understand it’s not a five star resort or even a four star, but I shouldn’t expect to see things that I would see in a Motel 6. From exterior doors not responding to key cards, to multiple Coke freestyle machines not working properly and complaining to management multiple times about it, to doors in our room that looked like they had been knawed on by animals, ending in a glorious mold smell at the door to the room. Lastly, it is 2026, how do you have rooms with NO USB charge ports???? I just stayed at a Hampton Inn in Ohio that had no less than 6 USB charging ports.
