Awesome butler service and vacation
Have been there 9 times and have always had a good time. This year we had a new butler in building 50 named Victor. He was the absolute BEST. He made our dinner reservations and always made sure we had plenty of water and beer (for my husband) and was always there if we needed help with anything. Also the pool/towel man (slight limp) was awesome as well. Always willing to get us towels. Hats off to both of them. Victor is as awesome and helpful as Randy. Hopefully when we come back next year we will have Victor again. Victor and Randy BEST BUTLERS EVER!

Happy 20th Anniversary
Thoroughly enjoyed our trip!! Love this resort!! We love the way they laid it out to be amongst the foliage, so it actually looks like it's an oasis as opposed to a hotel complex. And the covered paths keeps you cool and you can walk everywhere without being exposed for very long. The pools and beaches are some of the best we've visited! Totally relaxing!! We had some rough days just lying in the chairs not doing anything!! 🤣 The staff were fantastic, albeit mostly Spanish speaking, but we are in their country so Google Translate was very useful. But there are some staff that are overly task driven and doesn't know how to think outside the box, so special requests requires some patience to accomplish. And the bartenders make the best drinks!! We also love how they dress up your drinks with dried fruits (like slices of dried oranges). Almost makes me want to get my own food dryer. And spending a day in Zentropia (Spa) is well worth it!! The steam room and sauna were very enjoyable. Too bad the ice room was under repair. Be careful with your room selection though. If you are the first room from the lobby or any major hallway, you will hear everything. It was a great place to celebrate our 20th anniversary!!

Beautiful Hotel and Beach
The hotel is beautiful and well maintained. Beds and pillows are comfortable. Beach is beautiful and perfect for long walks although I found the undertow fairly strong so I swam in the main pool which was very nice and well maintained. Check-in was the best I have ever experienced at a hotel on vacation. Upon arrival to our room it was evident that the person who prepared it knew we were three people as the hide a bed was opened and made up. The rooms come with a robe and slippers for each guest, however we had one robe and one set of slippers and the other robe had no belt. It took some a few days to get us all the benefit of this perk. Room is equipped with a pod coffee make and a regular coffee make, however there was no pods or coffee supplied? Again difficult to get but once we did we weren't given any sugar or creamer so needless to say we didn't use it. Mini bar is not restocked daily. These are small things that can be avoided by educating your staff. One of the things that caught my attention when booking this trip was "butler" service. Take note this is not what you think it is. There are about 46 rooms per building and the butler is there to take care of the whole building. It's more of a concierge service than a personal butler, they are there to book your dinner reservations pretty much. The towel game is very much alive at this resort even though there are signs everywhere stating you are not allowed to reserve chairs, alot of the beach chairs are old, ripped and worn and could use replacing. I noticed people putting towels on beach chairs and pool chairs every morning. Shade can be hard to find if you don't take the time to secure your spot. Everything in this resort relies on you having a smartphone to get your any and all information from room service, various departments, restaurant menus, etc. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from and we never went hungry no complaints about the food. The resort has a huge variety of alcohol available whether it be Johnny Walker, Grey Good or Patron they have it. Disappointing however is there is only one type of white wine available; Chardonnay. The restaurants all have huge wine lists available for purchase at a minimum of $50 USD per bottle. I personally found this quite insulting that they have a variety on hand in the resort but they don't offer at least one other option for white considering they have two varieties of red. Would I go back? For the price I paid probably not it wasn't worth it. Also don't forget to bring Pepto or Immodium because the tourista is alive and well here you will need it. They tell you not to drink the water but I am sure the ice is made from the tap water and it is pretty much in every drink they make you.

Great with some exceptions
First off -- on arrival, someone in a green shirt will try to schedule a time to meet with you. They may even make you believe you HAVE to do this through some deception. You DO NOT have to do this. It's a sales pitch meeting for the Palladium Travel Membership. They say it will take 90 minutes. Ours took 5 hours. It's honestly a whole production. They'll ask you for a list of things that are wrong with your room and even send someone back to you a bit later to confirm they "sent someone who's fixing it all right now". We listed 5 very minor things-- all of which they said were easy fixes, none of which were actually done! Outside of that, the property is beautiful. The beach is great (minus all the smokers). The food is good. The drinks adequate. Try the local Mamajuana. That stuff is great! Some places are beginning to show age but the butler service and cleaning staff are great. Plan to walk a lot-not a downside from us as we love walking, but you should know the golf cart rides are unreliable to get. Overall great stay at a great place, just be aware of the handful of things I mentioned!

poor quality of bedroom
this part of the resort is old. We had to change room because of the malfunction of the air conditioning, unsafe shower, broken balcony chair, exposed electric wire by the bed side, plug bathroom sink, safe did not lock and to finish, old ,dirty bathroom towels. We went to other TRS hotel before, Turquesa is by far the worst one. Very disappointing for what we paid.
