  Excellent Customer Service at The Westin Kā‘anapali Ocean Resort Villas I would like to express my sincere appreciation to the front desk team at The Westin Kā‘anapali Ocean Resort Villas for their outstanding customer service during our stay on October 10, 2026. Although I did not get the manager’s name, I am especially grateful to the front desk manager who assisted us with our early check-in request. Their professionalism, understanding, and prompt assistance made it possible for me to attend my business meeting on time. The excellent service and attention to our needs made our experience smooth and pleasant. Thank you for going above and beyond to accommodate your guests. Your kindness and professionalism truly reflect the high standards of hospitality. I highly recommend this resort and look forward to staying here again!

  No Ocean View

  We paid for ocean view and were shown pictures by travel agent as to what the view would look like from bedroom. The view we got from bedroom was parking lot. The view we got from balcony was mainly parking lot but if you stood up and looked to right you got a small glimpse of ocean. We had also specifically requested the room not be on the first floor. Unfortunately, the room we got was a parking lot view on the first floor, exactly what we specifically stated we did not want and on the reservation form. The manager did listen to us but informed us that the room was deeded as an ocean view room. We told him that the view from the room was not acceptable based on what we were originally told we could expect. We then asked for a refund of the difference between a standard room and the ocean view room we paid for but the manager informed us he was not a liberty to make such a concession. Two days later we got a call from someone who stated we could change rooms on Tuesday for a courtyard view but would need to check out of the room we were in at 10AM and could not check into the new room until 4PM. All our baggage would need to be stored. As we had medication that needed refrigeration and access to it, we felt this was not acceptable and agreed to stay in the room we were in. The curtain in the bedroom was also worn out and full of holes. Then on Thursday, September 16 we received a text message and a written notice left at our room that there would be scheduled water shutdown from Thursday September 17 at 10PM until Friday September 18 at 6 AM. We were instructed to fill the bathtub with water beforehand to use to flush toilet if needed. Unfortunately, it turned out that the bathtub stopper did not work and the bathtub did not hold water. On Friday, September 18 at approximately 12:10 AM there was some kind of cutting (? Pipe cutting), going on that lasted for about 20 minutes. At approximately 5AM the was banging going on that last again for about 15 minutes. Both time this woke us from sleep.

  Unfriendly staff and negative experience in general

  Really disappointed with my experience at Marriott Maui Ocean Club. When I checked in, I asked if I could use the pool and was told yes. But when I went to the pool, the staff refused to let me in. On top of that, the room was super old and outdated. Overall, not the experience I expected from a Marriott property. I hope management can look into this and make it right.

  A Tree Named 'Ocean View'

  I booked an ocean view room and spent the first few minutes trying to figure out where the ocean was. As it turns out, the main feature of my "ocean view" was a large tree. There was technically a sliver of ocean visible, but only if I squeezed onto the narrow balcony and looked around the foliage. By the end of the trip, I had jokingly renamed the tree "Ocean", so I could at least say I got the view I paid for. The bigger issue was that the resort shut off the water from 10:00 PM until 6:00 AM one night during my stay. No shower, no sink, no normal bathroom use for the entire night. These things sometimes happen, but what surprised me was that no compensation was offered for the inconvenience. When I contacted management about both issues, I was told that this is a timeshare property, as if that somehow explained either one. Whether it's a hotel, resort, timeshare, or a castle on the moon, "ocean view" should mean a view of the ocean, and guests generally expect running water. The grounds are beautiful, the location is great, and I didn't have a terrible stay. But I'd encourage future guests to be cautious about the property's interpretation of "ocean view" and to be aware that significant service interruptions may be treated as business as usual.

  Be aware

  Be aware this is a time share not a Westin hotel with all the facilities. No room service . Nothing . We booked an ocean view 2 rooms villa and got a room facing a public parking lot with tents and cars with laid music . My vacation is ruined hopefully yours will be better
