Thank you and Thank you for Excelent service
Another excellent stay at the Watin Excelsior—a big thank you to all the departments for the wonderful service. The front desk was welcoming and efficient; the bell desk was always ready with a smile, and the concierge provided me with great help and advice. Breakfast at the restaurant was amazing, the staff made every meal a pleasure i traveled solo this time, and they asked for my husband. The housekeeping kept my room spotless and comfortable. Everyone worked together to make my short visit special, I truly appreciate it. We can’t wait to come back again in January 2026.

Fabulous hotel and great location!
This was our second time staying at the Westin Excelsior and again it was amazing. At check in we were greeted with fabulous bellman. Our room was spectacular! We love the location of this hotel. We walked everywhere! The rooms was spacious and immaculate and the service was wonderful. I would highly recommend this hotel and we look forward to coming back again!

Very average stay and expected a bit more from Westin
This hotel is a typical business establishment, nothing special. It’s huge and conveniently located, but you’ll need to climb a few stairs to reach the front desk and to the elevators. No bellmen were visible at both check-in and check-out to help with the bags. The front desk staff seems a bit reserved and not very friendly. At three, only one was ready to work and she was in the phone for the first 5 mins while we were there. Our room was upgraded to suite because of our Marriott elite status, but it had a musty smell when we first arrived. The key didn’t work at first and one housekeeper was around but unhelpful. It was surprising that there wasn’t a coffee machine or water kettle in the room. One mini-fridge wasn’t working, and both fridges (2 total in the suite) smelled unpleasant. The TV channels weren’t even in HD, and the cables behind the TV were messy and dusty. The WiFi signal was weak throughout the room, which was the biggest issue. The breakfast was decent, but it was typical Italian fare. We’re unlikely to return.

Outstanding location and service.
Location was ideal for us and service was outstanding. Location is a 10 min. Uber/Taxi ride from the train station. We walked from Trevi Fountain, with 3 children under 6, back to hotel under 15 minutes with out breaking a sweat. The GM acknowledged my Titanium Lifetime Status. Rooms were great and we had 3 bellman helping with our luggage upon arrival and departure. The best service I have seen in a while. Highly recommended to stay here.

Wedding Anniversary trip with our school-aged children.
We spent a wonderful week here in July 2025. It was an anniversary trip for my husband and I but also a family trip for our school-aged children. I really enjoyed the location of the Westin across from the American Embassy, walkable to major sights but also far enough way from the really touristy areas. We enjoyed our walks up the hill at night after evenings of big dinners with lots of wine and gelato for the kids. I have titanium elite status with Marriott and we were treated so well, complimentary champagne one night for our anniversary, turn down service was a return to the hospitality that used to exist in luxury Marriott properties in the US but you don’t see as often anymore. I was offered an upgrade but the room wasn’t ready on day 1 and we had booked 2 rooms which were just grand in size so they gave us more wine and treats on another evening. Complimentary coffee delivered every morning to our room was lovely, I enjoyed sitting outside and watching Rome wake up while my family slept in. Having the pool as an option to cool off with the kids after some hot mid-day sightseeing before a leisurely dinner was great as well. Just a really memorable week and staying at the Westin Excelsior helped make many of the memories.
