  Great Location - Clean Quite Hotel

  My wife and I will definitely stay here again our next time to Waikiki. The Twin Fin is located at the very end of Waikiki Beach near Diamond Head and a block from the Zoo. We don't think you could ask for a better location. It is on Kalakaua Ave, the main Waikiki Road but being at the end of Waikiki Beach means it is less crowded and quieter.  By booking this with Costco Travel you pay no Resort Fees ($56/night), you get free Airport Transfers To/From the hotel ($30-$50 per person), and a Costco Gift Card. Directly across the street is Kuhio Beach, a nice sandy beach protected by a low breakwater/seawall, so, it always has relativity calm water. Perfect for families with young kids. Fifty yards further down the beach towards Diamond Head is Queens Beach. There are nice waves at this beach for body surfing and Boogie Boarding. Both these beaches are less than five minutes' walk from the Twin Fin Hotel. There is a traffic light and crosswalk directly in front of the hotel which makes it very safe and easy to cross the road to get to the beaches. Another great advantage of staying at this hotel is their agreement with a shop called Beach Candy (Jamie O’Brien Surf Experience). Located street level of the Twin Fin building. Depending on your length of stay at the hotel you are entitled to free daily rentals of beach equipment from this store. We stayed a full week, and we were able to rent 3 items free of charge per day from the store. We selected a Beach Umbrella and two Beach Chairs every day. There are a few other hotels that have a similar agreement with 'Beach Candy' , but none of the other hotels are so close by. The Twin Fin hotel is an older hotel; it is not a Marriott, Hilton, or Hyatt type of hotel. That being said, there is absolutely nothing wrong with it. We found it clean and comfortable; the staff are friendly and helpful. We opted for a more expensive Ocean Facing Room and loved it!! If you can afford it, you will not be disappointed. From your balcony you have a view of Diamond Head on your left, the beach and ocean in front of you, and the whole of Waikiki Beach and Honolulu to your right. In our opinion the beds were super comfy, and the Air Conditioning was quiet and worked very well. We never heard the neighbors next door; the hot water for showers/bath was plentiful and hot. The hotel has the most amazing sweet/coconut smelling bath products, their own brand; you actually can purchase it from the hotel. We didn't, but only because we were flying with only carry-on luggage. Housekeep service was very good, they clean the rooms every other day, but if you want/need fresh towels or additional coffee you only have to ask for it. The rooms all have Keurig coffee makers, and small refrigerators. No microwaves. I can't say we enjoyed the brand of Keurig Coffee band they provide; we purchased some Starbucks K-Pods and used it after the first day. The hotel provides 2 aluminum water bottles per room, with water refill stations at Reception and Ground Floor. There is also an in-room security safe in each room. Hotel Restaurants - We tried the Tikis Grill & Bar and the Goofy Cafe & Dine and were not impressed with the food/drink selection or quality of either. We did try the Sunrise Shake as well and would recommend it. Wonderful made from scratch sandwiches, smoothies, and bowls. Hotel Pool - The hotel pool is small, but very clean and the water temperature was perfect. It was never too busy during our stay, good poolside bar/drink service. We did not try any of the food offerings, but they seemed typical of what is offered at other places we stayed in. The hotel provides free Reef Friendly Sunscreen; we brought a small empty squeeze bottle and filled it from the dispenser so we could use it at the beach as well. Pool and Beach Towels are available from Reception. To avoid having to wait in line each day to get towels we picked up an extra set of towels and took them to our room each day, so we did not have to wait in line the next morning just to get towels. Elevators - One little trick we discovered with the elevators. It is usually faster to use the escalator from Street Level up to the Reception/Pool floor then take the elevators from there to your room. The reverse is true when leaving your room and going out of the hotel, select 'Floor 3' on the elevator then use the escalator down to the street level. The reason for this is the hotel has 5 elevators, but only three operate from Street Level to the Rooms. All five elevators operate between Reception/Pool (Floor 3) and the Rooms. So, with two additional elevators, your chance of one being available is significantly better.

  The only Hotel we stay at!!

  We have been coming to this hotel for the past 5 years, From the minute we set foot on the property we were treated like family. Lillian and May went above and beyond as usual to make sure we have the best stay ever. Thank you Twin Fin!!! We love you and can’t wait to plan our next trip.

  Wonderful experience

  We really enjoyed our week at the Twin Fin Waikiki hotel. The staff was courteous and efficient. The room was clean. We were located on the top floor so had a fantastic view of the beach and surroundings. The hotel was also conveniently located close to shopping.

  Saved the day

  Tiki bar, Zack was great, our server. Evelyn not so much. Sat is at a table with sun blaring on us and no wind. Worst part of the visit. Zack our waiter was able to seat us in shade at the table we asked to be moved to original. She said no, that we could go back to reception and make a different reservation. Thanks to Zack he saved the day!!!
