The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman offers countless ways to explore the island's famous underwater world. Watersports activities of every kind are offered as well as eco-adventures. When it's time to dry off, head out to the water-laced Blue Tip Golf Course or The Courts to improve your backhand on either clay or grass courts with the coaching of a Bollettieri pro.
Jean-Michel Cousteau's Ambassadors of the Environment program introduces guests to the natural wonders and rich cultural traditions of the Cayman Islands. Throughout these unique eco-tours, the island's ecological resources become a natural classroom and living laboratory in which adults, families, and kids learn while having so much fun, they'll never imagine it's educational. Through exploration and active study, Ambassadors have meaningful experiences that imbue them with a deep appreciation and respect for nature. At the heart of these Grand Cayman eco-tours are four principles: everything is connected, there is no waste in nature, everything runs on energy, and biodiversity is good.

Now our favorite Ritz property!!
We just spent 7 nights at this Ritz property and upgraded our room to include service in the club lounge. On our first day, my husband announced to the staff in the club that we had a favorite Ritz property located in the United States. I think they made it their mission to surpass our favorite Ritz and they did! Everything, from the food in the club to the service to the cleanliness of the property was absolutely magnificent. The service site wide is absolutely outstanding. The level of “above and beyond” in the club lounge is unsurpassed. We generally do not repeat locations for vacations because we like to see different destinations. However, this is now our favorite destination and we have already made plans to return in November. A special thanks to Beatrice in the club for doing so much to make our stay so memorable!
Lunch at the beachfront restaurant
Excellent service. There were three options for gluten free vegan, all of which sounded delicious. I had the pulled portobello burger on gf bread with sweet potato fries. My husband had the B.L.T. Wrap with fries but the most amazing thing was the appetizer of guacamole and chips. Superb guac❣️
Love the Ritz - home away from home
I got married at the Ritz in Puerto Rico so very fond of all of their locations. Been to Hotel de Arts in Spain and planning to be at the Arc de Triomphe Ritz in June but this is by far the biggest and most luxurious. It has a gold course, beach and several pools. Believe it has 7 restaurant. I have 2 daughters w nut allergies and could not have been more pleased with the care. Whenever we made a reservation the restaurant staff knew someone had a severe nut allergy. The Ritz cooked all of her desserts (4yr old) separately and the Chef came out to present a dessert she made especially for her and said she also had an allergy and knows how hard it was. This is my family get away location for the love and care we get.
This resort made our vacation. My husband, toddler, and I traveled to Ritz Carlton Grand Cayman in January. Room: I had booked a garden view guest room on points, but as a gold member, we were upgraded to a Harbour Suite when we arrived. The suite was massive and quite literally twice the size of the guest room. I really appreciated this since this gave us (the parents) a space to relax when our toddler went to bed early. The room included a sectional sofa, chair, coffee table, tv and dresser with (for a fee) mini bar. The bedroom portion was quite large and we had ample space for my toddler's travel bed. The suite had two (!) bathrooms - a half bath in the living room portion and a full bath which included a tub, shower, two sinks, and toilet room. We had two balconies overlooking a road and water. It was very quiet, although it also was the farthest room from the ocean. Restaurants: Kids under 5 eat free so we took advantage of this at Bar Jack, Andiamo, and Seven (for breakfast). As you can imagine the food was pricy, but with our son eating free it was about the same as when we ate outside of the resort. Bar Jack was by far our favorite. It had a variety of food options which were all very good and occasionally served plantain chips with aioli dip. The servers all asked about food allergies and when I said I had a nut allergy, they made my meal in an allergy safe kitchen in the main hotel. I really appreciated that they take food allergies seriously! Beach: We mostly did the beach rather than the pool. There were 3 or 4 rows of beach chairs and various cabanas that you could rent for an ungodly amount. I rarely saw the cabanas being rented so I'm not sure why they even bother still offering so many. The beach was really crowded. Between most of the chairs being used (at least the first couple of rows) and tourists walking the beach, you rarely had personal space. The beach itself is gorgeous. White soft sand and clear blue water. The water was calm which was perfect for our toddler. It really is a great beach for kids. We did venture to the pool once or twice. The kids area was more geared towards kids older than our toddler. He was terrified of the big red bucket splashing water, but I can see kids maybe 6-8 loving it. There wasn't a shallow kids pool or a playground which would have made the resort perfect. Service: To me this is what makes the resort. Yes the rooms are nice, the beach beautiful, and the food good, but the service was top notch. I cannot emphasize this enough. Everyone was friendly and went out of their way to help you. Going to the Turtle Farm? They provided towels and water unprompted. We did takeout a few times and sometimes needed other supplies (like condiments, silverware etc) which they quickly provided. Even at checkout they had my son "help" with getting us checked in. It's little things like this that really go a long way. The cleaning staff always smiled and provided us water and chocolates on the days we didn't need our room cleaned. At the end of our stay they even took our picture with a polaroid which my son was utterly confused by! This is our only picture of all of us so I was grateful they did this. I also used the gym which was massive and had a large variety of options. I didn't use the spa or the kids club. I highly recommend this resort and would definitely stay again. It is very pricey but luckily we used points so what would've been over $1100 a night came down to $89 a night for the resort fee.
