Located in the Royal Towers, and viewable from the lower level of the Great Hall of Waters, the Ruins Lagoon, filled with ancient Atlantis artifacts, is home to over 20,000 deep reef and pelagic fish. These open-water fish include a variety of tuna, jacks, snappers and spiny lobster. The 2.7 million-gallon exhibits allow for the magnificent display of certain species of fish that are normally impossible or very difficult to view without getting wet.

Atlantis is great, the check in experience was atrocious. Got sent away the first night as they could not find a booking I made far in advance, despite letting the hotel know prior I am a guest and organizing a shuttle. Danielle Stubbs noted she would resolve it and email me back but told me , she never did. She told me to "try another hotel" I came back the following day after having to spend $700 on alternative accommodation and their superstar employee Patrick resolved everything promptly. However I never got refunded for the night I lost out on nor the additional $700 I spent on accommodation and taxi back and forth. Danielle also never bothered responding to emails.

Loved our stay! Hope to be back again!
We highly recommend this resort for many reasons: * The entire resort was clean and well maintained. * Kudos to the staff as they were very helpful and friendly. They seemed to enjoy what they were doing. * Several options for beach areas that offered white sand and turquoise waters. Areas with waves and areas that were calm. * Loved seeing the sea life - fish, sharks, stingrays, turtles. Fun to see guests who paid to feed them. * Many pool options - great pool area for young kids with one pool having zero entry and the kid play pool area offered a lot for kiddos. (We didn't have any kiddos with us but noticed this!) * Never had difficulty finding a chaise any time during the day and loved that each one on the beach had its own shade cover. * A variety of options for eating for reasonable price. Food was excellent (we did not eat at the buffet or nice restaurants so not sure on those) * Loved the shopping options on the marina. * The pizza and Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream on the marina were yummy! * The casino was clean, many options for gaming, drinks were great! Even on a Thursday night, they had live music. * Many options for activities: bingo around the pool, volleyball, movies... * The room met our needs and was clean. * We typically go to adults only resorts so surprised that our experience was relaxed and quiet. Just a great family resort! So much space that it never seemed crowded. Could always find a quiet area! * Recommend purchasing the tumbler to use throughout your stay. We enjoyed our many frozen drink refills and FREE pop our entire stay. Other thoughts: * This is a huge resort which was wonderful for us but did take time to get to know our way around (many signs showing the resort and where you are). May be more difficult for some who struggle with walking a long way. * When in our rooms, we could easily hear our neighbors and they weren't being loud. Glad we had a sound machine with us! * In our opinion, the buffet prices and the nice restaurants were a little high so we chose other options. (burger and fries, fish meal, nachos, pizza....) * We usually do all inclusive resorts and had heard it was expensive at Atlantis. I truly felt everything was reasonable except the buffets and nice restaurants. We tend to be conservative on spending money though!

Overall, our experience was terrific. Everything was clean, the beach and pools were amazing, and the food was incredible. The only downside was the room at the Coral. Although clean, it was somewhat underwhelming compared to the overall expense of the resort. And on the days we went over to try the slides at Aquaventure, several of the slides were closed.
