    Disappointed with The Club Barbados

Bitterly disappointed too large and very impersonable . Staff bordering on rude at times. Restaurant more like a cafeteria not the luxury we were expecting. Rooms nice although we had to request a room change as our more expensive room had no balcony and was not easily accessible to someone with mobility issues. No beach and sea too rough to get in and swim safely . Would not return here not worth the money we paid.

    Disappointing, tired resort

This is labeled as a 4 star resort and it should be 3 at best. For the amount of money we paid for this, we were disappointed from the start. Rooms were very dated with old, dilapidated furniture and tired decor. The food was mediocre. The drinks were good and they had top shelf liquor which surprised us. Most staff were friendly enough but nobody stood out for going above and beyond. Again, considering the price of this place, I wanted to be wowed a bit. The pool area was nice and they have good sun loungers but get up early to reserve. We didn’t spend time on the “beach” because it’s just a sandy area in front of a rock wall that overlooks water. We walked down the stairs to the beach a lot to beautiful sandy beach but if you have any mobility issues, this wouldn’t be possible. It’s rocky and you will get soaked by waves. Barbados itself is stunning with some of the most friendly people I’ve seen and it’s so safe to venture off the resort which we definitely needed. I’d return to Barbados but never to The Club resort.

    Arobics with charm

We had Roehan as a water tonics instructor he was spectacular. He engages with the guests weather they are participating or not . He is a fantastic ambassador for the resort

5 night break in the sun

Recently stayed here for a short break. The hotel is fairly small and the rooms are a little dated. The bathroom was the worst part. No towel hooks/rails, 2 shelves to put the towels and your toiletries on. It was pretty dated in all aspects. The bedroom was adequate with plenty of storage and a safe. The bed was huge and had clean linen. It was cleaned daily. The balcony was furnished and overlooked the pool. This room was ok for us as we only stayed 5 nights. The food was pretty good, a small selection but we always managed to eat well. Our water and drinks were topped up well too. The drinks were very good, a great selection of cocktails, spirits, beer and wine. They were definitely premium quality. The staff were amazing! Friendly, funny and always smiling. The pools were good with plenty of sunbeds. Although a dated hotel it was clean and tidy and well kept. The sunsets were stunning. I would stay again, but probably stay in a different room type.

    Just ok

We stayed at this hotel for 5 nights and only booked it because it offered watersports. My husband checked every day and was not allowed to use any of the equipment. The red flag was constantly out. On our last day he was able to book the hobie cat for 12 noon, but our taxi was coming at 1:30. He was told no exceptions. He had asked about the wind surfboard that was laying in the back, but was told it had not been used in years. Let me repeat, we only booked this hotel because water sports were available. By 10:30 AM his reservation was canceled. As for the resort itself, there is so much that would need improvement. It's when the little things get neglected, it shows the lack of interest in maintaining the property. One example are the cushions at the pools. They are filthy. A walkway to our oceanfront room was complicated. If you were unable to walk through the Sunset restaurant, you need to walk through the beach. That meant there was constant sand in your room since there was no mat to wipe your shoes before entering your room. Only two bath towels, two hand towels and to washcloths are provided per room. No hooks to hang the towels. Just a wash line inside the shower area and which we hung our wet bathing suits. Again, these are small things, but it truly affects the experience. The restaurant staff was hit or miss. Although we usually left a tip, it was not always well deserved. The food was OK, nothing special but plentiful.
